Year Purchased: 2009
Married, Shawn and Lorraine are both in their 30's and have three adopted furry kids, Bosco, Ripley and newcomer, Penny. They have lived in Gainesville, Florida for more than 15 years and love it. Not only do they get to experience the thrill of Gator football, but Gainesville also boasts a wide variety of cultural attractions and natural beauty.
Why the Owner Chose Gainesville
We always use VRBO to find our vacation rentals because we love to travel with our dogs. When we noticed that our home town of Gainesville, Florida didn't have any rentals near the University of Florida, we thought it would be a great idea to make one! We purchased and renovated this cute cottage, walking distance to the theatre and all the restaurants, bars and clubs in downtown and less than a mile from campus! We're so excited about this new venture!
The Unique Benefits of this House
Being able to park with ease and take a short walk to some of the best restaurants and bars in town... as well as the Hippodrome State Theatre. The house is quiet, but in five minutes, you're in the middle of all the action! You can have a fun night out without worrying about the drive home. Plus, you can walk up University Avenue right to campus or hop on the bus. So Gator football games are a breeze!
