Welcome to your mountain retreat! If you are in need of a relaxing vacation, this is the place for you. Our home is tastefully furnished with extra sleeping areas making it able to comfortably sleep 10. There is a screened porch on one end with a fire pit. There is an open porch on the other side to relax in the hammock or rock in the rocking chairs.
Take a hike along the many trails in the area, kayak, canoe or go fly fishing for the afternoon. Take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway to catch the scenic views. Go horseback riding in the Pisgah Forest or take a dip at Sliding Rock. Then go into Brevard for some antiquing or lunch at one of the many quaint restaurants. Don't forget ice cream at Bullwinkle's Soda Shop. Come home and hike down to the stone lined fire pit in the woods for campfire songs and s'mores.
And in the winter months..skiing, tubing, snowboarding and many other fun activities are just minutes away. Then come home and warm yourself by the fire.
You're just about 45 minutes from Asheville and about hours from the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. All a very scenic drive!!!

Why the Owner Chose Brevard
Kirk and I bought this home to experience the North Carolina lifestyle that is so very different from our lifestyle in Florida. We wanted our children to know what it is like to be able to run outside and play in the woods, to learn to snow ski, and to just get away from the stresses of life.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love the quiet here. We also love how close all of the activities are. We have such a huge array of things to do. And such a difference between summer and winter activities.
