Our home is a traditional Hawaiian Bungalow which is situated in a private gated community in the Napili area of West Maui. Our complex has 14 acres of tropical foliage and grassy knolls. There is a resident manager on the property. The property is located on the oceanfront of the "honoapiilani", meaning the coves belonging to Princess Piilani.
Nearby are the wonderful golf courses of Kapalua, home to the Mercedes Open and the LPGA Annual Tournament. The two coves above us - Napili and Kapalua are recognized internationally as the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Our home is close to the night life of Kaanapali and the shopping area of Whalers Village and Lahaina Town. There is something for everyone nearby.
Our home is fully equipped and is comfortable. Panoramic views of the Molokai channel and Molokai can be viewed on our 600 sq ft patio, which provides "al fresco" dining and sunset alerts!

Why the Owner Chose Napili
Because we have devoted so much of our lives to all things Hawaiiana, we naturally, gravitated to Maui-which to us, is the most beautiful island. We bought our Hawaiian bungalow so we could stay in touch with the beauty that is Hawaii. The gentle breezed from Puu Kukui (the mountain on West Maui) and the gentle trades, provide a perfect climate. The secluded cove gives us access to the wonders of the sea, and the views of beautiful Molokai and the sunsets take our breath away!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our secluded cove is nestled in a mango grove. The cove also has a swimming pool and cabana. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the cove and seek out the sea turtles that make Alaeloa Cove their home. Nowhere else do you get the feeling of "old Hawaii". Our house has a large patio facing Molokai where you can enjoy the wondrous sunsets, and every night there is a new show!

Bob and I love our Hale (house) in Maui. When we were first married, we lived in Hawaii and over the past 40 years - it keeps bringing us back. Our love of Hawaii comes from love of the Land (aina) and its people. Our wedding celebration included an authentic luau, put on by our Hawaiian friends, which lasted 2 days! This included digging the imu and making the lomi-lomi and even the poi!

We spent a lovely month in the relative quiet of Alaeloa, close to our favorite north end beaches. The house is a fine accommodation. Everything was clean and squared away. All the comforts of home. The owners are gracious and helpful. The grandchilden loved "the pool with the whale in the bottom."
Recommended for:People with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

Maui at its best! We absolutely loved this comfortable home with its tropical views, well-kept landscaping and spacious living areas all within the privacy of a gated community. In the evening, we watched the sunset from the front patio where we could enjoy the breeze and the view. The highlights include the spacious master bathroom, the lanai, the outdoor dining area and the nearby private cove and swimming pool. All in all, we loved this house! We couldn't have asked for anything more!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Bob & Eileen's home at Alaeloa, a secluded private 14-acre enclave with 43 homes in the Napili area of Maui, is beautiful, comfortable and perfectly located. We have rented here twice - March 2009 and April 2010, and have already reserved for next year. If you want an easy, no fuss rental experience, you can do no better. Highly recommended!
