Pua Hale is an enchanting Japanese style one bedroom Poipu Beach vacation rental home close to Poipu resort areas, The Sheraton Kauai, the Waiohai Marriot and The Hyatt Regency. It is located on a quiet residential dead-end street about 2 1/2 blocks from Poipu Beach. There are no crowded condominiums and hotels near Pua Hale. It is your own private house near all the resort areas but is surrounded by a high wall and fence on a quiet dead end residential street.
On a sunny Poipu morning, you will wake up to the sound of a small Japanese waterfall in your completely enclosed, walled garden filled with tropical flowers (anthurium, heleconia. spathphyllum and others). Your bedroom has sliding shoji doors and a very comfortable, queen bed. It opens into a large living room with queen sized sofa bed, and a dining area. You will enjoy the large sunken Japanese style bathtub/shower, big enough for two. The kitchen is completely equipped right down to the finest garlic press and food processor. There is a cable TV, VCR, DVD, stereo with tape & CD player, and numerous books on Hawaiiana and Kauai.
The white interior walls, white tiled floors and countertops along with insulated double ceilings keep Pua Hale cool all year round. Beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers and both a gas and charcole barbecue are available for your use. Pua Hale is on a half acre property. The owners live in the back of the property and their home is not visable once you are in Pua Hale's walled garden or house.
The owners, Carol Ann and Walter have lived at Poipu Beach for over 45 years. They have both traveled extensivly all over the world. Carol Ann was born in Hawaii (her family came in the 1800s). Walter has lived here for over 48 years and is originally from San Francisco. Walter is an engineer and built Kauai's present water system as the first manager of the Kauai Board of Water Supply. He is better known on Kauai and Maui as the best old wind surfer & is also a hanglider. They have three grown children and 10 grandchildren.
Carol Ann is a painter and photographer and owns a photography company called PORTRAITS OF HAWAII. She has won many local & national awards for her photography and has been published in several books. Family portraits can be arranged while on your vacation.
