This is a guest house that sits on a large, one hundred-acre property. The house sits back far from the road and has a long driveway with a circular approach. Once at the top of this gentle incline you can see why it took so long.... the sky opens up and you can see for miles. There is a wonderful deck that surrounds two entire sides of the house, a screened porch with outdoor seating provides protection from the elements, and a one-car garage with direct entry into the lower level of the house.
The main level interior is bright with wide-open spaces. The living room with a wood-burning fireplace, TV, and large sliding doors which open to the wraparound deck, easily accommodates 6+ guests. The dining room which is between the kitchen and the living room will sit 6 - 8+ with added leaves for a large table. The kitchen is open and easily accessed with new stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space and storage. Two windows in the kitchen offer lovely views. The master suite is located on the main floor level. There is a king sized bed, vanity, large screen TV, plenty of storage with his and hers closets, and a separate shelving area. The master bath is lovely with a separate tiled shower, bath tub, and two sinks. The master bedroom also has large sliding doors that lead out to the deck and provide grand views of our lovely Berkshire paradise. There is also a 1/2 bath on this main level.
The lower level has 3 more bedrooms and another full bath. One guest room has a queen sized bed, the next bedroom has two twins and the 3rd has a full bed. These three bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. There is carpeting throughout and because it is the lower level it provides wonderful sleeping spaces. Your teenagers, as well as other guests, will love it!

Why the Owner Chose Alford
This home is wonderful as a seasonal rental for the summer months, fall leaf-peepers... and is a perfect getaway for skiers with cross country skiing right out the door! This is also a wonderful choice for a family looking to rent a house for a 9-month school term. The property is quiet and there is room for the mind to quiet and find your way back to peace and solitude. A running nearby brook provides added entertainment for someone who might like to catch frogs or bring a small pole to catch fish. There is lots of open run-around space.
