Location: Fort Collins, Front Range, Colorado, USA (1 Hour and 10 Minutes from Downtown Denver and DIA)

Accommodations:  Condominium, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2)

Wake up and enjoy your coffee while reading the paper, then stroll into the park for a walk or bike ride....or stroll into Old Town and enjoy the shopping, restaurants, and shows. No other executive rental combines such quaint serenity with everything that is Old Town quite like this loft.

The loft consists of a spacious living room, kitchen and dining room, one bedroom with full closet, one utility room in which is located a washing machine, and a full bath. In addition to our boast that it's THE BEST Old Town location, this loft offers all stainless steel appliances, slab granite counter tops, wood floors, solid wood doors, European style cabinetry, custom blinds, a flat-screen TV with complimentary cable (including HBO), and of course Wi-Fi internet access for those lost cyber souls amongst us.

Lee Martinez Park is literally steps away from the loft front door. This 90-acre park is bordered on its northern side by the Cache la Poudre River (The French were here once, ok?) and is lined with lush, natural vegetation. The park boasts a seasonal petting zoo, playgrounds, basketball courts, and a lighted baseball field where you might find a community league baseball game in progress. These park facilities are surrounded by expansive areas of groomed grass and trees where you can picnic, play catch, do cartwheels, or just lie on the ground and take a snooze. A network of paved and unpaved bike/foot paths runs through the park that is part of the greater Fort Collins bike trail system that meanders throughout the town.

Hmmm, let's see, we've mentioned the varied delights of Old Town, the Lincoln Center, Horsetooth Mountain Reservoir and Park. What's further afield? Oh yeah, we should probably acknowledge those pesky hills off to the west that get in the way of our spectacular sunsets. They call them the Rocky Mountains, don't get us started...but have you ever heard of Rocky Mountain National Park (wildlife everywhere and spectacular scenery up the wazoo) and Estes Park? No-no, too touristy, do what us locals do and go up Poudre Canyon north of Fort Collins to Walden. On your way stop to wade and fish in the river and watch for moose. Alternatively, you could drive Highway 287 up to Laramie, which isn't as twisty-turny as Poudre Canyon and is one of the most scenic, beautiful drives in the state in our humble opinion. Then too, if you're altitude acclimated and hooked on those hills, you might want to bag a 14er. Mid-September through October is the perfect time to experience the turning of the Aspens, which of course starts earlier iin the mountains and continues through October with the drop in altitude onto the plains.

    • This is a lovely loft. Well-appointed is an understatement. The loft has a fully stocked kitchen as well as top of the line appliances and furniture. Fresh flowers and Italian soda made us feel very welcome. The location near the park was great for our two young children (who slept on the floor). They also loved seeing the occasional train pass by. We loved easy access to carmel lattes from the coffee shop downstairs. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend.

      Homeowner Response:
Thank you. I'm so pleased that the loft was such a good experience for your young family.

    • This beautiful Ft. Collins loft is classy and well stocked with state-of-the-art equipment and necessities. It is roomy and very cozy, furnished with a comfortable queen size sofa sleeper, a rocking chair and a leather lounge chair to name a few items! Large windows give views in three directions. The loft is located within walking distance of Old Town's shops and restaurants and easily accessible to parks, mountains and canyons. We loved our week-long stay and appreciated the ownwer's tips, maps and brochures so we could plan our daily excursions. It is a perfect home away from home, and we plan to return soon!

      Homeowner Response:
Thank you Mike and Nancy for christening my loft guestbook in such a positive way!
