Comfortable furnishings, a great on mountain location just a short walk to the Vail Village Vista Bahn or walk/ski down to Lionshead Gondola. Ultimate family friendly Vail ski rental home. Our home sits on the downhill side at the crossroads of Rockledge Road and Forest Road.
To go skiing from our home, you walk West downhill on Forest Road to Born Free ski run and ski down into Lionshead where the Gondola is located. Or walk East downhill on Forest Road to the Vista Bahn in Vail Village. To return to the house at the end of your ski day, you can ski down Bear Tree ski run to Rockledge Road and walk downhill back to our home on Forest Road.
The Great Room and dining area, table for ten, have vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace, and valley views. Just outside the Great Room is a large wrap around deck. There is a family room with a gas fireplace, wet bar and TV, downstairs and just outside the door is the deck where you can enjoy your own private hot tub.
This 6 bedroom, 4 bath, 3 level home has on the main level a (#1)king bed in the master with private 3/4 bath. Upstairs are two bedrooms, (#2)bedroom has a queen bed with a shared full bath, (#3)bedroom has one set of log bunk beds with a shared full bath. Downstairs there are three bedrooms, (#4)bedroom has a queen bed and private 3/4 bath, (#5)bedroom has a queen bed with shared bath, and (#6)bedroom has one set of log bunk beds with shared bath.

Our family purchased this address in 1975. In 1993 we tore down the original house we bought and built a new one. We love our Vail home and hope you will enjoy as much as we have over the years.

Great house with ideal location

We had a group of 7 guys going to Vail to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday. The house was perfect for us - it had 6 big bedrooms (bunk bed rooms are a little smaller), 4 baths and a fantastic "great room" with plenty of sitting space. New HDTV in that room as well, with DirecTV. The hot tub was huge and could easily fit 7-8 people. The location could not be better - we walked maybe 100 yards downhill to the Lionshead slopes in the morning, then in the afternoon we actually skied right off a green run through the backyard of a house across the street (no one was home), so we only had to literally walk across the street to get back to the house. The street this house is on has to be one of the best in Vail - right in the middle between Vail Village and Lionshead, and both are downhill going from the house. Has a nice, heated garage for all your ski stuff, and the driveway is heated so you can park a car there without worrying about being snowed in. The house also has WiFi which was important to us. All in all, our group couldn't have been happier with the stay (though it dumped 10" the morning we had to leave), and we are trying to get everyone on board for a return trip next year. Compared to other houses we looked at, for the price this house can't be beat.

My wife and I brought a group of 12 people out to Vail. We couldn't of been happier with this house. Everyone had their own bed, and was extremely comfortable. The location of the house was amazing all of us would walk to the slope down to Lionshead in the morning and then we would walk down to Vail village at night. It was perfect. And when we would hang out at the house the hot tub, the large dining room table and the amount of couches provided all of us will unlimited relaxation/entertainment possibilities. I highly recommend this rental you will not be disappointed!

This house is the perfect ski house. Easy to entertain a large group and alot of space to spread out. Our family really enjoyed our stay and hope to return this summer.
