Wait until you see this absolutely awesome view of the Continental Divide and the Valley from our 600 square foot deck. The home, HILLTOP HIDEAWAY, is located on seven acres and in an aspen grove. The home is close to the Pike National Forest. A short drive brings you to the trail. Enjoy the peace and natural beauty.
Our custom-designed, 3200 square foot log cabin is truly a unique get-away. Only a few years old, the home is immaculate and beautifully appointed with aspen log furniture. There is a Queen log Bedroom with log end table and an awesome view. A second bedroom has bunk beds with a full size bottom and twin top. There are three floors for privacy.
HILLTOP HIDEAWAY has a two story living room on the second floor with a beautiful log and cedar ceiling. The rich australian cypress flooring and western decor create a peaceful setting from which to enjoy the magnificant views.

The Kitchen has a Microwave, Stove, Refrigerator with Ice Maker and is fully furnished with Cooking Utensils. Linens, pillows and blankets are provided. There is a Washer & Dryer. Two of the Bathrooms have Jacuzzi Tubs. HILLTOP HIDEAWAY has a River Rock wood burning fireplace. HOT TUB needs to be prearranged and surcharge applies. Free Internet available. NO PETS.

Kathy and I have been married for over thirty years. We have three adult children. I have been a physician for thirty years, most of my career in the emergency department.
Why the Owner Chose Fairplay
We loved Colorado and the mountains. My wife said views were the most important. Our views are exceptional. Our cabin is centrally located in Colorado for winter or summer activities yet private enough to feel like we are really away from it all. Fairplay is a quaint mountain town and offers all the basics without the traffic.
The Unique Benefits of this Log Cabin
We love getting up in the morning and gazing at the continental divide or the valley.It is so peaceful, quiet and private. In the summer, a favorite moment is to sit on the south deck with a cup of coffee. As the day progresses we enjoy sitting on the west deck and watching the sunset over the mountains. During the summer the wind is fresh and the sun is warm. During the winter the fireplace warms our heart. Any time of year the nighttime stars are amazing.

We have enjoyed many explorations fo the surrounding mountains and of course, fishing the many reservoirs, streams and lakes. The history of the area was very interesting also.
