BYOB (bring your own boat) and keep it on the lift for easy access to the waters of Matlacha Pass, Charlotte Harbor, the Intercoastal Waterway, and the Caloosahatchee River. Nearby attractions include Boca Grande Pass, Cayo Costa State Park, Cabbage Key, Useppa and Sanibel/Captiva Islands.

Year Purchased: 2009
Our home is in Alberta, Canada and about 2 1/2 years ago we travelled to Sarasota, Fl for a winter holiday. We were amazed by the Climate, beautiful environment, and the friendly people in the area. The 10 days of the holiday passed quickly and we had to go back to the routine of wearing layers upon layers of winter clothing, and beginning to plan another getaway to Florida. We came back to Florida in the summer time to start looking for a vacation home, and after 2 years, faith finally brought us to Island Time in Matlacha.
Warm moisture air and the smell of the fresh smoked mullet were intruiging. The people were waving as we drove in, with smiles upon everyones face. The local restaurants serving up fresh fish make hunger takeover the mind, but then a nice walk to the local art galleries can lighten your load a little bit. We knew that day that Matlacha is our vacation destination, and we had fallen in love with all that is here. We now enjoy the island time as we smile and wave at the incoming cars passing into a paradise of its own; Matlacha, Fl.
