Enjoy Mt Baker / Glacier year round. Sit on the deck in the summer and enjoy the sound of rushing water from Glacier Creek and the view of the mountains. In the winter most types of snow sports can be found here along with the best snow in Washington. Any other season is beautiful and can accommodate hiking, biking, river rafting, and much more. Hike, bike, and have fun to your hearts content. Three restaurants near by (we walk to them) including the newly opened Chair 9 Wood Fired Pizza.
Our home is a truly grand log cabin built of large timbers that can be seen both inside and outside of the structure and finished with natural surfaces such as granite and stone. The deck wraps aound three sides of the home to take advantage of every view and keeps you in the sun or the shade, whichever you prefer.
The master suite is large and features a king size bed, tv and VCR. The master bath has double sinks, a large marble and glass shower, and a six foot soaking tub (larger than the average tub). The master suite is located on the second story and has it's own private balcony.
The second bedroom is located on the first floor and features a queen size bed. The bathroom on the first floor sports a double headed shower.
The loft has a large sectional and a full size futon for sleeping. We also have an Aero Bed that sits 18" off the floor and self inflates that easily fits into the loft. The loft overlooks the living room, has windows the feature the view as well as a balcony. There is also a nice reading nook next to the window with a view. A great way to spend the day.
The kitchen is fully furnished. The dining room seats 6 at the table and two at the island. The living room has a wonderful floor to ceiling two story stone fireplace.
We have a full size washer and dryer. All sheets, blankets, etc are provided.

We both work in different areas of the real estate industry in Seattle so we often work long hours and love to get away for a little retreat as often as possible. In the winter our family is passionate about skiing and snow boarding. We think that there is no better snow in WA than at Mt Baker. In the summer we like to hike and enjoy the outdoors.
Why the Owner Chose Mount Baker
When we first saw the lot for this home we were so excited that it overlooked the water and had a mountain view. It doesn't get any better than sitting on the deck and watching the view. We also love the walk into Glacier to enjoy the two local restaurants. The food is great. You have to try to fish tacos at Grahams! In the winter we love skiing all day and then the short drive to come "home" to relax with a great meal. Each and every season here is beautiful!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Our family loves the time here spent playing games, watching movies, hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. This is the place that we find we can truly relax and check out. Even one night away from the city makes us feel like we have been on vacation.
