This inviting and relaxing home is centrally located in the heart of Historic German Village, a quiet, friendly neighborhood that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was recognized as a Preserve America Community. Located just south of downtown, you will enjoy strolling through the brick streets looking at the beautiful homes and gardens throughout the neighborhood. Walk to popular fine dining at Lindy's or Barcelona or stroll down Third Street and visit the original Max and Erma's! Get a taste of Germany at Juergan's Bavarian Bakery or Schmidt's Sausage Haus, and don't forget the cream puff! There are many other great restaurants in the area to sample, too many to mention! Set time aside to wander through the 32 rooms at the BookLoft then head down to Schiller Park for Shakespeare Summer Theater. If you leave German Village during your stay you will want to check out the Brewery District, the Arena District and the Short North.
We are approximately 1/2 mile to both Children’s Hospital and Grant Hospital, 1 and 1/2 miles from the Theater District and the State House, 3 miles to Capital University, 5 miles to The Ohio State University, and walking distance to Schiller Park and countless restaurants and attractions! Relax on the front porch watching the neighbors walk their dogs or on the backyard patio while grilling out!
The home sleeps 4 people - the first floor has a living room, dining room, 1/2 bath and a large, fully stocked modern kitchen with a great island for relaxing with friends. The second floor has 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed and 1 full bed, a sitting area and a full bath. All linens and towels included.
Less then 10 minutes from popular destinations to include Nationwide Arena, the Columbus Clippers Stadium, the Crew Stadium, the Convention Center, the Expo Center, the State Fairgrounds, The Ohio State University, Capital University and Berliner Park. Approximately 20 minutes from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Ohio Dominican University, Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base, hiking, golfing, dining and much more!

My husband Mark and I purchased our home in German Village 3 years ago. I am active duty Army and we have had a great opportunity exploring Columbus and especially German Village. I have a new assignment, but we plan to return to our home after retirement.

We stayed in April of 2009 for only a couple of days, and we didn't want to leave! The house is very easy to find, well furnished and very tastefully decorated. We also loved the private off-street parking. Our communication with the owner was always prompt a courteous, and making the reservation was trouble-free, as was our entire experience. You will absolutely love the house - it's a home away from home, not just a place to stay. We are coming back to Columbus again, and this is our first choice of places to stay! We have stayed in many VRBO properties, and this one is top notch. Thanks, Joan!

My friends and I stayed here in August of 2009. We had a tremendous time. The accomodations were impeccable and we were in walking distance of shops, bars, and restaurants. If you have not spend time in the German village, I highly recommend it!
