The Miller Farm's Retreat, are a group of four little cottages which are grouped in close proximity to each other, they are joined by decks and courtyards, and are nestled in a beautiful wooded and garden setting, with majestic Mt. Hood and surrounding orchards as the backdrop to this landscape. All of the houses are very unique and artsy and furnished with antiques, brass beds, stained glass windows and fixtures. We rent to large or small groups.
The Retreat is the perfect place to have you WEDDING, or your FAMILY REUNION. It's also the perfect place to come for a romantic getaway for 2!!!
The houses are:
1) THE TREEHOUSE: which sleeps 2 and has a single queensize brass bed. This is a very unique and artsy little house situated about 25 ft up in a group of fir trees. There is a wonderful deck to sit out on and view the mountain, drink wine or coffee and listen to nature. Sadly there is no shower, but there is a toilet and hot and cold water to a basin. The Treehouse offers a very unique experience unparalleled to the Pacific Northwest.
2) THE ORCHARD HOUSE: this is the largest of the cottages and sleeps 8-10, there are 3 bedrooms and a 4th dormitory, with single beds, day beds, and foldout beds available. The bedrooms have queensize beds, 2 bathrooms, full equipped kitchen. This house is uniquely furnished with antiques and art objects, Big screen tv, dvd, stereo, fireplace. Walk out to the adjoining deck to sit and de-stress, watch the mountain, have a wonderful meal, hire the local masseuse for a private massage on deck, then to the hot tub....your imagination is your limit.
3) THE COTTAGE: is a cute little cottage joined to the farm house by a large deck which has a hot tub and BBQ, and a Sauna. The Cottage sleeps 2 in a Queensize antique bed, the little house is adorned with stained glass fixtures, and works of art. Go down the spiral staircase to the new granite & stainless kitchen.
4) THE POOL HOUSE: This is a very unique little house made out of a vinegar barrel, there are 2 floors, upstairs is the bedroom that sleeps 2 with a queensize bed, and an antique woodstove. Stained glass french doors open out onto a balcony which overlooks the pool. Downstairs there is a bathroom with shower and a semi full kitchen. There is no stove, but there are griddle, hotplate, microwave and toaster oven provided.

The Unique Benefits at this Farm with Vacation Cottages
Visitors who come here will get to stay in cottages that are located in an old growth, wooded setting, some of the fir trees are 250 years old. The woods have been turned into a park that attracts all sorts of birds and wildlife, of course the backdrop to all of this is a breathtaking view of Mt. Hood. Guests will get to stay in the Treehouse, use the sauna, swimming pool and hot tub, also wonder around the orchards and munch on Apples or Pear's. All of the cottages are furnished with antiques, brass beds, stained glass. We are located close to ski areas, lakes and many forest and hiking trails. A 15 min. drive to Hood River offers many unique shops and restaurants, theater, movies, museums, antiquing and wine tasting, windsurfing and white water rafting, to mention only a few.
Another beautiful hidden lake in the Mt. Hood forest. Lake offers boating, fishing, swimming, camping.
Nice Local Ski Run, offers a lodge with food, T-bar lifts, snow boarding, bunny hill and advanced hill, cross-country.
Wonderful Old Log Cabin Inn, now owned by the Craig Rats, a Mountain Rescue Group. Was built at the same time as Timberline.
A World Class Ski Area, complete with T-Lifts, Chair Lifts, world class runs, medical facility and day lodge.
A cute little mountain and farming community, the closest town to Mt. Hood on this side of the mountain. Offers several good restaurants: The Brewery, Alabama Jim's, Rails End Cafe, McIssics Grocery
A Beautiful clear Mt. Lake, with gorgeous views of the Mountain, hiking, fishing, boating, camping, picnicking.

I grew up on this farm, and always knew how very special and beautiful this place was. Later, my husband and I moved back to the farm, and in the course of things decided that we wanted to share the beauty of our special place with others. This farm is a working farm producing tons of cherries and pears and apples, per year. We hope that visitors who come here will experience a back to nature lifestyle that only few experience, but we get to live everyday.
