Why the Owner Chose Aspen

We ventured out to Aspen 20 years ago and when we saw our property we fell in love with the sweeping pasture lands set against the drama of Mt. Sopris. There was a funky passive solar ski house and barn originally and we took down the ski house and built the current house on the same footprint plus added space for the kitchen and dining room. We built the house with reclaimed beams from an old railroad track in the Great Salt lake as well as all the reclaimed doors from Mexico and South America. There is of course snowshoeing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and plenty of space for hanging out, cooking, reading etc.
