Agree with the previous reviews that this is a well maintained and well equipped condo-- plenty of beach towels, well stocked kitchen, etc. and with the fantastic view, we found ourselves dining in most of the time. The entire condo complex is very well maintained, and the large pool is exceptional-- we had it all to ourselves each day; especially appreciated the cushioned lounge chairs, the shaded areas, and the warm pool temperature! An extra treat was seeing an iguana pass by the pool one day and crawl up a tree. The master bathroom shower is amazing-- great shower power, a variety of shower jets, and the mirrors at the back of the shower open into the bedroom allowing you to enjoy a full ocean view while showering. When we relaxed on the balcony, it felt as if we were on a cruise ship as we were surrounded by the ocean. Enjoyed watching the cruise ships arrive each morning too. Management was extremely helpful and responsive.. Especially enjoyed: lobster rolls at the Eaton Street Seafood market; peel and eat shrimp at Hogfish Bar; taking the Westin free boat (6 minute ride) at Mallory Square to Sunset Key island for lunch at Latittudes; great Italian food at La Trattoria; touring the Hemingway home and petting all the cats; daily morning exercise on the path along the ocean. We highly recommend this condo and we hope to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed in this well-kept condo in Feb. 2011. It is nicely furnished and equiped. It is right on the water--less than 30 yards. The best part is that the deck is very large and private, and is perfect for sipping morning coffee while watching the sun come up each morning. The folks at the management company were very helpful, even to the point of meeting us at the condo to let us in, because we arrived after business hours. The pool area is maintained and little used throughout the day. It is close enough to walk to Louie's for cocktails, but why bother given the fact that the ocean front deck is so inviting? This place is worth every penny. It is probably less expensive that a simularly situated ocean front hotel room, and much nicer too. The only negative feature--at least from my point of view--is that the second bedroom has twin beds rather than a double.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to seeing you again in Key West!

MY MOTHER, SON, NEPHEW AND MYSELF STAYED HERE FOR 2 WEEKS IN THE SUMMER OF 2010. OUR 6TH VACATION TO KEY WEST (6 YRS IN A ROW). NORMALLY WE STAY AT THE SHERATON SO OUR EXPECTATIONS WERE VERY HIGH. THE PLACE IS WONDERFUL TO SAY THE LEAST, ROOMS ARE SOOO COMFY, JUST AS YOU SHOULD EXPECT. THE BALCONY, UNBELIEVABLE, WE ALL ENJOYED THE EARLY MORNING COFFEE AND HOT CHOCOLATE WHILE WATCHING ALL SORTS OF SEA CREATURES SWIMMING TOWARD THE SHORE! SMALL SHARK, STING RAYS, LARGE CRABS AND FISH GALORE! A CONDO, BUT WE FELT IT WAS VERY PRIVATE AND SECURE. A FEW THINGS THAT DID NOT IMPRESS: THEY HAD ADVERTISED THE GROUNDS TO HAVE TWO POOLS, WHEN WE ARRIVED THE ONE TO OUR SOUTH AND CLOSEST TO US WAS UNDER REPAIR AND REMAINED UNDER REPAIR THE ENTIRE VISIT. THE BEACH AND OCEAN IS FULL OF BROKEN BEER BOTTLES AND OTHER UNMENTIONABLES, AFTER OUR FIRST ATTEMPT TO ENTER THE WATER, NONE OF US WENT BACK IN. (THE BEACH HERE IS A NATURAL BEACH AND THEREFORE IS NOT MAINTAINED, NO FAULT OF THE CONDO MGMT OR THE OWNERS). HOWEVER, SMATHERS BEACH IS JUST A SHORT DRIVE TO THE NORTH AND IT IS A GORGOUS BEACH!! THE WATER IS PERFECTLY CLEAR AND CLEAN. DEFINATELY RENT A CAR IF YOU ARE FLYING IN AS ALL THE EATERIES AND THE NIGHTLIFE OF KEY WEST ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ISLAND. IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST VISIT, MALLORY SQUARE AT SUNSET IS A MUST DO!! OVERALL, WE LOVED OUR PIECE OF PARADISE AND THE UNIT WAS EXCEPTIONAL. WE WOULD DEFINATLEY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT TO ANYONE.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
