This is a lovely house in a beautiful setting. it was well appointed and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The upstairs master bedroom was spectacular! The two bedrooms on the first level were not large but adequate for us. We loved walking down to the pond (about fifteen minutes). The location was great in terms of exploring the Cape. We went to the ocean, near by ponds and enjoyed many walks. The village of WellFleet has many excellent galleries and shops and it's just a few minutes drive from the house. Bottom line- We were happy with our choice!

Wonderful home in a great location. Very clean with lots of included amenities to help you enjoy the beach or your time at the house. The owner was very responsive to requests and very accommodating. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone. We especially liked The Winslow Tavern and the Left Bank and Blue Heron art galleries.

We were thrilled to find the Rubin house situated in the woods within walking distance to ponds and the ocean although we did not hike but biked to the ocean this year. It also is so close to town and Moby Dick's which turned out to be one of our favorite restaurants is an easy bike ride. The house is so accommodating with wonderful porches. Our week was a hot one and the screened in porch that has a ceiling fan and is surrounded by trees was terrific. There are enough fans for every room which made things comfortable. We were six and there was so much great space to share and to find a quiet spot alone. We loved it!

We spent a delightful two weeks at this house on either side of July 4 weekend. It could not have been more peaceful and comfortable. The high points were lovely walks in the woods -- to a gorgeous almost empty beach if you like, and an easy drive to Wellfleet where we were able to find fresh vegetables and, of course, all manner of excellent fish and seafood. All parts of the house are comfortable, and there are lots of spaces in which to relax, from a bright, well-appointed living room to a screened porch and an open deck with only one other house in view. The photos show an accurate picture of the varied spaces in the house. We especially enjoyed the surprisingly elegant shopping in Wellfleet, and sushi at Mac's.

My family and I absolutely love this spacious, modern, and airy home and have visited it several times. Privately situated at the edge of the Cape Cod National Seashore, the house is an easy and pleasant walk through the woods to the private swimming at Higgins Pond and to family-oriented Gull Pond. The house has three beautiful decks. The front deck is wide and open and has a comfortable porch swing. My family’s favorite feature of the house is the large, enclosed outdoor shower located off this deck. After a long day at the beach or pond, we all race to see who gets to use it first. The second deck is at the rear of the house, off the dining room. Overlooking the woods, it has a gas grill and a lovely glass table with cushioned chairs. The house is cool, open, and immaculately clean. It has been impeccably furnished in a modern, minimalist Cape beach style. There are two cozy bedrooms downstairs, each of which easily sleeps two, and a full bath. The bright and breezy master bedroom is upstairs, along with another full bath and a large and comfortable sitting area with a tv and dvd player. The third, private deck is attached to the master bedroom. The owners, Richard and Elizabeth, are very friendly and accessible, and have been terrific to deal with. When we had a minor issue arise one year with one of the beds, Richard arranged to have it repaired immediately. We have especially loved the privacy and the simplicity of the house. Each time we have visited, we have left feeling renewed and refreshed.

You couldn't ask for anything more than what you will find at this house. You feel like you're living in the trees, although the inside is as welcoming as could be. So many places to sit and read, eat meals, have conversations from the 2nd floor family room, to the spacious screened-in porch, to the deck with dining area and grill. Elizabeth and Richard, the owners were gracious and accommodating and the description of their house is clear and accurate. A must for anyone visiting the Cape, the town of Wellfleet is charming and quieter than most with terrific restaurants, nearby golf, beautiful beaches, and friendly folks. We couldn't recommend it more highly.

e enjoyed our week in Wellfleet tremendously and the Rubin house was a critical part of the overall positive experience. The house was clean, well-maintained, and flooded with natural light. We rented a different house in Wellfleet last year that was old and dark, and visited friends in their dark and dirty rental this year - so we know that the pictures do not always capture the reality of the homes on the Cape. The outdoor shower was one of my personal favorites about the house; others included the sense of peace and seclusion, the morning walk to/swim in Gull Pond before anyone else arrived (it was great being so close), the screened in porch which allowed us to sit outdoors sans mosquitoes, and many others. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend and hope to return there many times in future years. Did you find this review helpful? Yes No Helpful votes: 1/1

Having been to The Cape before we were keen to stay in Wellfleet as we really like the small, picturesque town, with its great restaurants and art galleries. With two children (9 and 6) we also wanted to be within a walk/bike ride of the freshwater ponds and Atlantic beaches. We chose to stay at Elizabeth's house because it is well located for the town, pond and beaches, and because it offered spacious, clean and well equipped accommodation in a lovely quiet location. After a busy day, we enjoyed walking from the house to Gull Pond for a swim, then returning for some table tennis in the basement and a BBQ on the deck !

What an amazing time we had at this beautiful and very private property. The house is very stylishly decorated and was extremely comfortable. We had made ourselves at home within a couple of hours. It was the perfect location to visit other places on The Cape. Provincetown was a favourite for us with great places to eat out, great shops and galleries and just a great place to hang out and watch the world go by. We also loved Wellfleet Center. Such a cute and quiet village with a fantastic beach to walk on. As we were visiting from Europe, Elizabeth and Richard (the property owners) were extremely helpful via email before we arrived and were available to speak to should we have had any problems or questions once we were there but the property is so well set up that this wasn't neccessary. We would, most definately, love to stay in this property again should we ever find ourselves back in Cape Cod. I will be recommending this property to friends and family. It was a very special vacation and we had a fantastic time!

My family and I spent a wonderful two weeks here in June of 2007. The streets, towns and beaches were relatively uncrowded. We had a blast exploring all the different ponds, beaches, sights and restaurants. This home is a vacation-lovers dream come true! It is absolutely spotless, bug-free, and well-maintained. The kitchen is well-stocked with staples and everything is easy to find and operate. The comfy screened-in porch is right off the kitchen and deck; perfect for entertaining as well as relaxing. What we enjoyed most was that we were in the woods but extremely close to town, beaches and ponds, as well as restaurants and shopping. The Wicked Oyster was our favorite restaurant, nearby and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We rented a kayak and sailboat to use on Gull Pond. What a blast! Since June is less crowded on the Cape, we were able to negotiate a nice deal with the owner of the boat rental. In nearby Provincetown we went on our annual whale-watching tour and enjoyed the view of the Cape from the ocean. Though the numerous Wellfleet beaches are excellent, our favorite beaches were First Encounter and Marconi in Eastham, just a few miles away. Aside from being beautiful, both offer a nice history lesson. Downtown Wellfleet is our favorite town on the Cape. It's quite diverse and caters to vacationers of all ages. Thank you for sharing your home with us! Gratefully, Barbara, Sherman and Callie.
