This spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath lake house on West Lake drive was originally designed as a Frank Loyd Wright inspired Summer house. Every room has windows on three sides with the lake visible from every room. Lake Austin combines the convenience of an in-town location with the certainty of a constant level lake.
Relax on the large sundeck out the back door, or walk across the beautifully kept lawn to the hammock, or down to the lake. Cookout on the grill or drive 10 minutes into the middle of downtown Austin for all the restaurants and attractions of 6th Street or South Congress.
Barton Springs, Deep Eddy, Hippy Hollow and several greenbelts are all within a 10 minute drive as well. The house sits just about in the geographic center of Austin.
Boating : There is a boat dock on the property. The slip is occupied, but renters may tie boats to the dock on the side. There is a public boatramp about 3 miles from the house. The driveway is circular and although tight, is a good place to leave a trailer.

A group of friends and I stayed at Joe's house over Memorial Weekend, and we couldnt have picked a better place. The house was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities and was in great condition. The view from the house and boat house couldnt be better and is only a short boat ride down to Hula Hut. It is quite a workout getting from the bottom of the boat deck to the back patio, but worth every second, as you can always take a breather and enjoy the view from the edge of the yard while lying in the hammock. Needless to say, we all enjoyed our stay and had a great experience. We will definitely book this house again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
