The beautiful and chic seaside town of Biarritz has been called 'Paris on the ocean!' And this beautiful, ocean view loft apartment is in the middle of it all. Located along the coast of the world famous Cote de Basque, this spacious light filled loft directly overlooks the sea from 4 large windows, and is just steps to the ocean.
This is the apartment where your dreams of a french seaside vacation come to life, recently re-modeled and equipped with all your modern conveniences, choose to go out on the town, or stay home and relax overlooking the Atlantic ocean. The apartment stays cool and quiet in the summertime and is a retreat from the summer crowds and heat. But as soon as you're ready to hit the town, the loft is just a short walk to all the restaurants, shops, markets, patisseries and cafes of the town. There is a daily open air market two short blocks away, with fresh produce of the region and also locally made artisian wine and cheese. Also just one block away is the famous Kimana spa which is a full service spa as well as fitness facility.
Besides just overlooking the ocean, the fourth window overlooks Spain, which is just a short 30 minute drive and worth exploring for shopping, lunch or tapas.
Other activities for the area is surfing at Cote de Basque which is famous for it's world class waves and also where the Biarritz International surf festival is held every year.
Golf is also very big in the area and there are 10 courses near-by with many world class golf events through-out the year.
Bedrooms...
In the first bedroom is large king sized bed with a wardrobe in which you can unpack your things and get settled....
Up the spiral staircase, there are two queen sized beds located in the spacious loft with vaulted ceilings where you will have the best nights sleep after an active day.
Bath...
The large spacious bathroom features a large tub for two, under skylights which let the glow of the sunshine in. The toilet is in a separate chamber away from the main shower area.
The living room...
The living room boasts high vaulted ceilings and an incredible amount of light flooding in through the sea facing windows.
There is a beautiful yet comfortable roche bobois sofa in the sitting area for you to relax on facing the cozy fireplace for those fresh summer nights or cool winter ones.
Off to one side of the living area is a separate room which can be used as an office space equipped with a desk for use as a home office as wireless internet is available. On the other side of the sitting area is a small sitting room which has a window looking out towards the ocean as well as Spain!
There is a full kitchen with every necessity necessary for those home cooked meals made fresh from your market produce. From pots, pans, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, juicer, large refrigerator, as well as 5 burner gas stove with oven. The dinning area is near-by and is stocked with an array of table settings.
For your convenience, there is also a washer and dryer in the apartment.
The apartment is fully equipped with a large flat screen TV with cable/DVD as well as Wi-Fi internet. Besides the wood burning fireplace, there are heaters provided for winter rentals.
Bicycle and motor bike rentals are located across the street as well as surfboard rentals at the beach near-by.
10 minutes from both airport and train station. We are only a short hour flight from Paris!
San Sebastian,Spain is only 30 minutes by car, so the airport located there is also a great option to fly into.

I have surfed and traveled the world for 10 years, and have always come back to France for the waves, but also the culture, food and wine! I have lived in Paris, but, Biarritz is one of my favorite places and I feel at home while I am here. It is the coolest little French beach city you will come across with amazing food, restaurants, and people.

Besides having the best beaches France, the basque country has so much culture, amazing food and wine, and the people here are incredibly friendly! World class surf breaks right out the door and Spain is just down the street.
The Unique Benefits of this Apartment
The apartment looks over the beautiful coastline at cote de basque...and from the last window out to Spain! We love being on the ocean and having the beach just steps away. We love how peaceful and relaxing it is in the apartment, yet being centrally located we are with-in walking to everything going on in town. Only a few streets away is the open air market where we get our fresh produce every morning as well as fresh croissants for breakfast and wine and cheese for the day. We are also just a few steps from the best restaurants, bars and shops of the area. And being a close 30 minutes from spain so we often go for lunch or tapas. You won't want to go home! Biarritz is such a community that staying in your own apartment instead of a hotel really lets you live the French way of life.

This rental is perfectly located above the famous Cote des Basques. You are close enough to walk to the market and tourist areas, but far enough away to feel like you might actually live there. The apartment itself is very nice and well-styled, also well-maintained. Beds are comfy, kitchen fully equipped, and the internet is fast. The rental manager is super nice and the lady next door is really sweet, even if you don't understand a word she says (I don't speak French). We had no problems with the paperwork. The owner handles the details before you rent and she is also very nice and accommodating. Rumor has it that she might be a decent surfer. You have an amazing view of the surf from the breakfast nook...picture yourself in the morning watching the sets roll-in with a cup of coffee and a baguette. The break itself is probably the softest wave I have ever been on. Even when way overhead, it is very weak, which is actually great if you are a beginner. It is a very safe wave. Experienced surfers should bring more foam than they are used to... a lot of foam... or plan on walking to the next bay, it has a little more punch. My wife, myself, and my sister with her boyfriend stayed here together and we LOVED it. We've all lived on the beach before and know what to expect. I don't think there is a better place to stay in Biarritz...period. We'll be visiting again soon!

My husband, my daughter and I stayed for a week in this wonderful apartment. We didn't want to leave! The location was amazing - a beautiful view of the ocean and close enough to walk to everything. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back.

I would like to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed staying at your property in Biarritz. The ocean view and the cross-breezes that flowed through the apartment were spectacular and soul-soothing. Your little alcove room was my favourite location to sip a glass of wine and watch the waves crashing towards shore. The location was perfect for us - just outside the town centre but close enough to walk to shopping, the market and restaurants. There were four of us with two guests for a few nights and not once did we feel crowded. The two futons in the loft and the main bedroom amply provided for our needs. The linens were clean and fresh and the open concept great room was truly inviting after a day's exploring. We never ran out of hot water and the large tub was great for a relaxing soak. Lots of room in the kitchen to prepare a large meal or just sit around and talk. The pictures of your property can't really show the actual scale of the apartment which is a lovely restored heritage residence; not too fussy, just perfect. My parents and I recently rented this apartment, and we were very happy with the entire experience. The positives: - owner and property manager were very responsive and helpful (we arrived early in the morning the property manager was there to meet us), - place has all the comforts of home (kitchen, WiFi, etc.) plus a wonderful view of the ocean. - good location, with nearby grocery stores, across the street from the stairs down to Cote des Basques, and a nice walk do "downtown" Biarritz. The negatives: - For three people the price was a little high, esp w/ the cleaning cost, but if you have two couples (or even three, if two don't mind being very cosy in the loft together) the price would be far better than a hotel. - There was scaffolding on the back, and the painters working on the building had full view into the apartment when they were there. (There are no curtains or blinds.) Not a big deal and only a temporary issue, but would have been nice to know ahead of time. Overall, we were impressed and I would definitely go back if we have two (or maybe three) couples. Thanks!

High season in Biarritz can be very busy as well as costly, however our prices remain incredibly reasonable and competitive compared to hotels in the area, especially with our great location, the amazing ocean view, the spaciousness of the apartment as well as full amenities such as Wi-fi and in house washer/dryer which provide the comforts of home while you enjoy being away from home.

Rating5 out of 5 Bel espace bien décoré et lumineux face à l´océan guille Madrid, Spain Review Submitted: March 1, 2010 Date of Stay: January 2010 On a beaucoup aimé cet espace genre "loft", décoré avec un très bon goût, ayant 3 fenêtres sur l´océan de la côte des Basques. Très lumineux et agréable. Fonctionnel aussi. Indispensable utiliser la cheminée en hiver (elle marche très bien d´ailleurs). Location très acceptable à côté de l´Hôtel Radisson, à 10 minutes à pied de la Place Clemenceau. On se sent très à l´aise, décoration minimaliste mais le peu est très bien choisi. Seul inconvénient (pas grand): c´est un 2ème étage sans ascenseur Recommended for: Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
