We just got back from our stay at Rio Del Sol. We were so happy with this condo. It is beautifully decorated and has everything we wanted and more. The kitchen was well equipped for the meals we had there. The refrigerator was stocked with water for our stay. We loved being able to walk to St. Phillips Square for dining, the farmers market, and an art show, We like to bike and enjoyed having several bikes to chose from in the garage. We used the trail outside the condo for both biking and walking. During our stay we visited the Biosphere 2, Sabino Canyon, Mt. Lemon and the Sonora Desert Museum. We also went to a Cactus League game. This was a perfect home base for our travels.Recommended for: Sightseeing.

We (two retired couples) recently spent the month of March in this wonderful condo on the Riverwalk in Tucson. What a great experience! The condo was beautifully furnished, beds were very comfortable, lots of extra linens and towels were available - top quality! The kitchen was great - equipped with everything we needed to cook with - knives (sharp ones too!), coffee grinder, blender, spices, etc. The den had a computer and internet available and we used it alot to book tickets, check out new restaurants, and just keep in touch via email - very nice to have this available for our use. The real bonus was being right on the Riverwalk! The men would walk the half mile to St. Phillips plaza every morning for their coffee. The women would walk later in the day to the Trader Joe's to shop. On the weekends there was a terrific (Sunday was best day) farmers market in the plaza where we bought fresh produce, home made breads and tortillias, cheeses and other treats. The condo compex had very nice amenities - we used the heated pool (short walk from the condo) almost every day - such a treat! There was a very nice fitness center there also (which we did NOT use!). But the best feature was being right on the Riverwalk! It was a real pleasure dealing with the owner, John. When we first arrived I noticed that the advertised DVD player and blender were not in the condo. I emailed John and within several hours we had a new blender and DVD player delivered and installed by his son! Great service! I would highly recommend this condo - it was so comfortable and we just hated to leave at the end of the month - would be back next March if it weren't for conflicts in schedules next year. We really loved staying at the condo, and exploring Tucson - a great time was had by all!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This was our second stay at this property and we were not disappointed: It was as great as it had been the first time. In fact, a few very minor things we had mentioned - more wastebaskets; lighting - had been attended to. We had a problem with smoke alarms but the management could not have been attentive. Despite the fact that there has been a year's use, it still has an almost new, fresh look and feel and except for a missing coffee mug, we never felt the place had been 'used'. The location is the best because it is close to town but in the foothills makes it easy to get to parks and trails plus the River Walk. We tried a new restaurant, Contigo, in the Joessler Plaza about a mile west and we highly recommend it. As noted in other reviews there are several excellent restaurants nearby. We are looking forward to returning again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This spacious condo is beautifully decorated with a fully equipped kitchen, and the office includes a computer, wifi and printer. The management could not have been more helpful or informative. The location is in a gated community which is quiet with lots of privacy. It is right on the river walk which is wonderful; whether walking, running, biking or just sitting on the balcony with a bottle of wine watching people go by. We enjoyed visiting with friends at the pool and even the shirt walk to Trader Joe's for a quick shopping trip. Nearby is St Phillips Plaza which has wonderful shops and restaurants with an outdoor market on the weekend. There are many other great restaurants and shops nearby. It is minutes to downtown, the university, and easy to get to the mountains and parks. If you enjoy hiking, Sabino Canyon was wonderful. We hope to staying in this condo again soon. We would highly recommended this condo.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We spent the month of January at this Rio Del Sol Condo. It could not have been nicer. Sunny, beautifully furnished, and very convenient to shopping, restaurants, hiking, and tennis. We joined Tucson Racquet Club for the month because we wanted to play tennis every day. It is located just a short walk away (about a half mile) on The Rillito River Trail. The River Trail is great. Always very busy with walkers, runners, cyclists, dogs, and horses. If we were not on the trail ourselves, we enjoyed watching the action for the balcony. We already contacted the owner to reserve for next January and were disappointed that someone is ahead of us. Drattit!!! We do hope to return to this unit again. I could not give it a higher recommendation, but if you do stay there, please use it gently so it will still be like new when we return. Have fun, MN & PRecommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We were here over Xmas with our son and his wife and could not have been happier with the rental. The layout gives two couples lots of privacy. Our niece and her daughter spent one night on the trundle bed in the office and it still felt roomy. We visit Tucson at least 2X a year and have rented many condos & houses and this is definitely one of the best and offers everything we could want. One big reason to be in Tucson is to be outdoors as much as possible. The location right on the river walk is wonderful; whether walking, running, biking or just sitting on the balcony watching people (and dogs and horses) go by. The riverwalk stretches for many miles and many parts are beautifully landscaped and/or have interesting art incorporated into the walk. The proximity to the condo makes it so easy to step out for a long bike ride or short walk. In fact, we so enjoyed the convenience, that we never got around to using the pool or fitness room. The condo is at the less busy end of the riverwalk so it still feels quiet and private. A short walk away is St Phillips Plaza and Joessler Plaza with great restaurants and shops and an outdoor market on the weekends. Also nearby is Hacienda del Sol - a beautiful old inn with a great restaurant. We especially like to go for cocktails on their patio. We also like this location because it is minutes to downtown or the university, and also easy to get to the mountains and parks. The unit itself is beautifully decorated and has wonderful linens, ample kitchen equipment, and the office includes a computer, wifi and printer. The gated complex it is in seems well run. And the condo management could not be more helpful or responsive. They even got extra bikes for us so we could all ride together. I have already recommended this property to friends and we are hoping to return for our next trip.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We stayed in this condo over Thanksgiving week. The condo is extremely well located and close to all. It is tastefully furnished and in like-new condition. It is well-appointed, clean, spacious, and the owners have obviously given considerable thought to the little details. The large balcony overlooks the Riverwalk and the unit has easy access to the walking trail. The fitness room and pool/spa are a short walk. Would definitely consider staying here again on our return.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
