What to do while staying in Panama City Beach….
Pier Park is close by to Palazzo (only about a mile away). Here you will find great shopping entertainment and a host of restaurants that will meet your every craving. Pick from Gugliemo's Italian Restaurant, Hana Japan, Hofbrau Beer Garden & Reggae J's Island Grill as well as two restaurants that give you a view of the beach, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville & The Back Porch. While you are at Pier Park treat yourself to a spa day retreat at Solace Day Spa or a great massage at Massage Envy. You will find so many cute little stores lining the boulevard at Pier Park. Just to name a few, Blender Clothing, Chico's, Jake and the Beach & Peace Frogs. There is a volleyball court onsite too near the cinemas for some outdoor recreation.
For water slides, wave pools, lazy rivers and inner tube rafting you can find this all at Shipwreck Island, they have been a Panama City Beach staple for over 25 years.
A visit to Panama City would not be complete without a visit to Gulf World Marine Park, they have dolphins, sea lions, exotic birds and reptiles. Explore your way through animal exhibits with penguins, alligators, flamingos & more. My favorite is the Swim with a Dolphin program.
Zoo World is also a great place to visit, they have over 250 exotic animals & a beautiful botanical garden.
A newer attraction is the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum at the intersection of Front Beach Road, Thomas Drive & Middle Beach Road.
My favorite thing to do is to visit Shell Island, usually when I go it is very quiet and relaxing as I look for great natural treasures. You will find a high concentration of bottle nosed dolphins in this area. Remember to pack snacks and water when visiting the Island; they are not available for purchase on the Island. Don't forget your sunscreen either!!
Frank Brown Sports Complex is an incredible outdoor recreation facility with playgrounds, picnic areas, soccer fields, football fields, tennis courts, saltwater fishing pier and more as well as hosting many special events and tournaments throughout the year.
The activities in Panama City Beach are almost limitless. Enjoy dolphin cruises, fishing from the pier, jet skis, parasailing, go-carts & goofy golf. The possibilities go on & on!
