Big Canoe offers over 8,000 acres of mountains, forests with nature trails for hiking and a 27-hole golf course and country club; lakes for boating, swimming and fishing, several outdoor pools with covered pavilions for group picnics, an indoor pool and a full service staffed fitness center and spa with breathtaking lake views; as well as a tennis club and other sport opportunities. Both fine and casual dining are right here!

Canoe Cottage has AC, satellite reception for 4 televisions, wireless coded DSL connection, unlimited long distance, DVD, 2 gas log stone fireplaces and gas grill on deck, modern appliances and granite counters.

As you enter from the cottage front porch, you see the kitchen to the left and the dining room to the right as well as an entrance to a screened porch with rustic stone gas log fireplace and gas grill on the deck with dining table and chairs. The wood paneled living room has vaulted ceilings and plush furnishings, features an attractive gas log stone fireplace and a large picture window. The master suite includes jetted bath, double vanities, and has a queen bed with private outdoor balcony off the bedroom, perfect to enjoy your morning coffee. There is a guest half-bath off the hall from the living room.

The upper level with its own great view has a loft office/sitting area overlooking the living room, a bedroom with twin beds, and a full bath.

The lower level has two bedrooms each with a queen bed and its own connecting bath. There is a good sized den with leather sofa and love seat and a large HD-screen television. There is also an ample laundry room. Adjacent to the den is a covered outdoor patio area for storing lake and hiking supplies.

Kids and adults can walk from Canoe Cottage down to one of several lake beaches. Here, you will find an outdoor pool, snack bar and food pavilion, the gushing water rock slide and Fitness Center. Or, stroll over to the gazebo picnic area inside Laurel Ridge. Explore the hiking trails. Visit the Village. It's all yours to enjoy!
