Recently remodeled mountain cottage with fabulous views of Grandfather and Grandmother mountains. Main level is accessed via a large deck offering outdoor dining, BBQing, or just relaxing!
The main level consists of: the living room with a beautiful fireplace and 46" flat screen TV; a brand new kitchen looking into the open dining area while offering a mountain view; the master ensuite bedroom with a queen size bed; a powder room; and another deck offering mountain views while dining on the deck, or having a sunset cocktail.
The downstairs levels consists of: the family room which offers TV viewing on the 40" flat screen, and a computer desk; three guest bedrooms - the first guest bedroom with a king size bed - the second guest bedroom with two twins or the twins combined for another king bed - the third bedroom having a queen bed; the spacious guest bathroom; and another outside deck. The laundry facilities are also on this level.
A great location only minutes from: downtown Blowing Rock; Shoppes on The Park; Tweetsie RR; or just stay in and enjoy the views, or walks through the quiet community of Misty Mountain.

Balance, plus tax and $350.00 security deposit, is due 30 days prior to arrival.

Our 2nd visit to this house and it was just as great as the first time. Location is perfect - views are never ending - house is a perfect setup for families or couples and the owners (Ron & Susan) will make you feel as if you are home. We loved it (again)!

We wanted to rent a place near the Blue Ridge Parkway and spend time driving both north and south on the Parkway, including a visit to the Biltmore (Vanderbilt) Estate in Asheville, NC. We selected the town of Blowing Rock due to an article in USA Today that featured the Blue Ridge Mountains - the article recommended Blowing Rock as a quaint resort town with many excellent restaurants and shops, and we loved it. The view from the decks was a huge bonus and the photos on the website sold us on this particular house. As we discovered on arrival, the cottage was in brand new condition (due to renovation), was quite large, (more of a house than cottage) and included everything we needed (and more!). The owners, Ron and Susan, were terrific in recommending restaurants and activities, and were very friendly (they live nearby). The cottage has a land-line telephone with free long distance, because cell phone coverage is spotty in the mountains. The Misty Mountains are quite beautiful. We particularly liked the "Village Cafe" and "The Best Cellar" restaurants. We would definitely return to this property and Blowing Rock and highly recommend it.

We returned to Misty Mtn again this year and rented this cottage as our rental last year was booked and we wanted to stay on Misty Mtn - our favorite Blowing Rock location. Wow - did we get lucky! The cottage was billed as re-modeled but looked like a new home. The photos on the web site do not do justice to how much care and attention was given to this home . Everything you would need was included and in great shape. The gas fireplace was so realistic that we actually requested the model name as we consider one for our home. The dual (up and down) living spaces with decks make it a perfect retreat for couples or a great way to stash the kids downstairs. The views to Grandfather Mtn were outstanding and we were only a few minutes to either Blowing Rock or the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just a perfect location. Our hosts were ready to answer my many questions about the area while never intruding upon our "get-a-way" vacation. Great house, great location, great hosts - we hope to return for many years.

We just returned from this immaculate, well-appointed home in paradise. It certainly exceeded our expectations. The home has everything one needs. (Just bring your toothbrush and clothing.) We loved Blowing Rock. We played tennis with an over 55 group at the city courts, our grandchildren enjoyed the city pool. We hiked and went on picnics and loved the Blue Ridge Parkway. The owner was available to answer all our questions. We can't wait to return.
