It's been almost a year since we rented this house and as I go back through our pictures, it makes me smile. What a wonderful house and experience. I was turning 40 and wanted to go somewhere sunny for my birthday. We selected this house, because of the extraordinary ocean views, the pool house for our guests AND the lovely pool for the kiddos. It was amazing. Fit our needs in every way. My kids were able to see the ocean for the first time in their lives, I got to wake up every morning to watch the waves and dolphins and we all were able to relax and have fun for a week. Perfect for families, plenty of space and wonderfully decorated/clean and tidy. Merry was amazing from start to finish, so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back to enjoy this gem!

Wonderful January Vacation

We have just returned from vacation, we rented the beach house the second week of January 2012. I read the reviews before booking and they are correct, the pictures look good, but don't do the property justice. The beach was mostly secluded, on most days we were the only ones on it. Having a heated pool and jacuzzi was a big bonus, the last 2 beach homes we rented did not have a pool and I didn't realize how often we would use it until now. Even though we had the ocean we used the pool daily. The house was clean. The property manager was very helpful during our stay. The deck by the beach was very nice, when tired of the sand it's a great place for the family to gather. The owner seemed to think of all our needs as there was so much at our disposal in the house. Even though there were 10 of us, the house was definitely large enough to accomodate all of us without feeling we were on top of each other. We even received our deposit back early.Everything was great. We will definitely be back next year.

The house is absolutely beautiful--far better than the pictures depict-- and the location perfect. The beach is pristine and the owners and property manager were very responsive and helpful. However, we had some issues that were not resolved during our stay that put a damper on the vacation. The pool and hot tub did not work optimally resulting in a cold pool and hot tub and a hot tub that drained every night. Even though they had repairmen come to the house, the issue was never effectively resolved. The water in the house had a strong, strong sulfur smell that did not disappear even though we bled the lines several days in a row. There were other minor cleaning and repair issues (damage from previous tenants) that had been hidden and we had to deal with. This is a great property and we enjoyed our visit despite the issues and feel confident that the owners will remedy the issues we had.

Owner response: The pool and spa were working perfectly. The guests tried to use custom settings that they were implementing incorrectly; we gave direction and all was alleviated. The temperature did not go to desired level due to unusual cold front of 42 degrees overnight. The hot water tank caused the hot water smell, which we thought to be rectified. We did try to follow up with guests with three separate calls however we were unable to reach them. When we became aware the situation persisted it was fixed immediately. Guests found a loose towel holder and fixed on their own; our maintenance man would have been happy to fix right away. We are always available to our guests, seven days a week.

For the fourth straight year we were fortunate enough to spend the week (July 2 thru 9) in your Melbourne Beach home. What a blessing that house is to our entire family (parents, adult-children and most certainly grandchildren). It provides the Buerke Family an ideal location to enjoy each other, the beach, the pool, the house and all of the “vacation equipment” you make available with your home. Returning to the same location for our summer family reunion, at your home, is becoming a tradition no one wants to miss. We are already making plans for next year, at what our grand childern refer to as “Nana’s Beach House”.

We just returned from a week at this lovely home with my son and family and must say, it is the most relaxing, wonderful vacation we have ever had! The home is more beautiful than the pictures and the location is perfect! The beach right out your back door and very private, we had it to ourselves every day! Everything needed was in the house, we just needed our groceries! Had direct contact with the owner of the house who was very nice also and helpful with contacts for eateries and things to do. Highly recommeded and would love to come back someday!

Fantastic Vacation

We have been renting vacation homes for almost ten years. This is our favorite. Extremely clean, on the best part of Melbourne Beach. Not near any pass throughs for the general public, very private. The furnishings are very tropical. The house is nicer than the pictures represent. Private pool. Excellent communication with the manager of the property. We did some research, this property is one of the few legal rentals in the area. We will definitely be back next year.

Family Trip

My husband and I have two sons with 6 children between them and we want to find a place we can go every Labor Day to have some quality family time together. The kids are getting older and the days of wanting to be with parents and grandparents will be become less. The house was so perfect. Actually the listing doesn't do it justice. It is even more beautiful than the website shows. It had enough room for all of us. It is decorated very nice and had everything we wanted. The little deck on the walkway to the ocean was terrific. It is the perfect house for a large family to be able to be together. The pool is nice and we were in it alot. Since we live in Maitland, Fl we were not interested in sightseeing or attractions; however we did go to Sebastian State Park and saw some Manateees. The kids loved that.Thank you for letting us share your beautiful townhome and we hope to be able to come back again.

We stayed in the house in August, the place is fantastic. We have rented a number of beach homes over the years, and would have to say this is our favorite, we plan on coming back again next year. The only thing we had to do was stop at the grocery store; the house has everything we needed. I see that one person had a problem with the pool heater, but we had no problem with it at all. We had questions about the area and the realtor was very accessible to us. It’s very clean and I would agree that the pictures don’t do it justice. The financial transaction also went smoothly; we received our deposit back in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this house for your vacation.

Great place for a family reunion

We stayed at this house the end of June. It was perfect! Definitely enough room for the 9 of us. The pictures don't do it justice. It's gorgeous. We would love to go back again. The beach was very private and clean with lots of shells. The house is in great shape and it seemed to have everything that we needed besides our own food.

House was great, especially for the large number of people we had staying there. Cleanliness was excellent, and everything we might have needed seemed to be thought of. The only issue we had was with the heated pool and getting in touch with someone about it. Otherwise, an incredible experience--we're planning to do it again!
