Year Purchased: 1988
We are lifelong Oregon residents with a love for the North Oregon Coast. Our house was originally built by a Portland family with six children. They enjoyed it for forty years. We are the second owner and have owned it for twenty years. We've just spent two and a half years rebuilding and updating the house so our family can enjoy it for another twenty years.
Why the Owner Chose Arch Cape
We searched for a ocean front house for many years. It had to be less than 90 minutes from Portland. It had to be on a beach with limited public access. It had to be in an area with reliable public services. And it had to be within walking distance of a store because our kids always saved up their pennies to buy candy and treasured walking to the store on their own.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The house has always been a gathering place for groups including friends, neighbors, extended family, co-workers, foreign visitors and business gatherings. Everybody loves how the space works for all the needs of a group whether it is for uniting, relaxing, planning or celebrating.
