My wife and I spent six nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Property is very clean and the owners live right next door. Secret Harbor (resort, restaurant, bar, beach) is within walking distance and it's a very short trip into Red Hook, which has restaurants, some nightlife, lots of boat charters and ferries to everywhere on the VI, including the car ferry to St. John. It's also far enough away from the cruise docks that the area is not overwhelmed with waves of visiting cruisers (a real problem in parts of St. Thomas in high season). Don't worry about the lack of A/C in the living area -- the trade winds and fans will take care of that, honestly. We were completely comfortable. Unit is very well equipped and the description/photos here are very accurate and representative of the actual unit. If we go back to St. Thomas, we'd stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Randy and Kristi, Thanks for staying at the Seaglass apartment. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and especially the wonderful fresh breezes we have. It's nice to have the A/C in the bedroom but yes the trade winds cool us off here.

We enjoyed our week at Seaglass very much. Joanie and Robert were friendly and helpful. Seaglass was neat and clean and we were lacking for nothing. The beach, beach bar and restaurant at Secret Harbor were great. Red Hook was a 5-minute drive, with lots of restaurants and boat charters available. Joanie was helpful in recommending both a powerboat charter and a sailboat charter. We would not hesitate to return to Seaglass.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: So glad you enjoyed your stay at Seaglass and exploring the islands on the BVI trip and the daysail! We hope to "sea" you again

My husband and I just returned home after spending 6 great days at Sea Glass. Lovely apartment with an awesome view of the Caribbean. Indian style shutters allow an almost constant breeze throughout the rooms, no need for the AC. Fully furnished kitchen makes it a pleasure to eat breakfast and make an occasional dinner. Walk to what I think is the most beautiful beach, rent a car or taxi to Red Hook Marina for lots of opportunities for Day Sails or Boat rides to different islands. We did a day sail to St. John with Captain Max and snorkeled with Sea Turtles, Sting Rays and beautiful fish along a few coral reefs and the lunch that was provided was OUTSTANDING. The owners of SeaGlass. Joanie and Robert are the perfect Hostess and Host.. Available with lots of hints on what to do and where to go including great ideas for restaurants depending on your taste... Joanie even gave us a quick ride to the grocery store to buy some staples for the apartment..... A perfect, quiet, and cozy place for a getaway...... Highly Recommended........Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We are not ones for repeating our trips to the same places but we think we have met out match at seaglass!! The view of the ocean is one I could wake up to any day with a nice cup of coffee, sitting on the landing from seaglass watching the birds and waves on a beautiful sunny day. And falling asleep in the hammock listening to the waves. The view had an appealing look cause it wasn’t direct and the shutters didn’t block the Caribbean sea below. We will be making an exception with Seaglass for many years to come!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Seaglass is a fabulous vacation experience! The beauty and cleanliness of the rooms, the spaciousness, and the extra touches such as beach and condiment amenities, breakfast goodies, and flowers make it a dream place to stay--as is the air conditioned, ocean blue bedroom! Breezes float through the main room from huge screened windows which overlook Secret Harbor and the Caribbean Sea. The Deck landing has chairs and a table where you can also enjoy the view of Secret Harbor while you grill your dinner and sip your evening cocktail. Flowers abound in the gardens. Every detail is perfectly attended to, and Joanie and Robert are super friendly hosts with you absolute vacation pleasure in mind. They are a wealth of information on what to see and do. The location is close to great restaurants and the ferry to St. John, a must see, as it is 2/3 national park. Seaglass at Stonehouse is a beautiful, relaxing place to stay, with lots of privacy, good books, wifi and cable at your fingertips! Join the deLugos for a vacation in paradise that will always remain your favorite.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Seaglass at Stonehouse was an amazing place to stay. The view from the front door is enough to keep any traveler happy, but it blew us away on a daily basis. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed having all of the space. The location felt safe and was quiet, with the sound of waves crashing at night. It was great to have chairs and snorkeling equipment to borrow from Robert & Joanie, as it make our daily trips to the beach (Secret Harbor, Coki Bay, Magens Bay, Lindquist Beach, Trunk Bay in St. John) that much easier. Stonehouse was clean, well-maintained, and extremely comfortable; we loved the ceiling fans. The photos on this posting will never do the views justice, you'll have to go see them for yourself. I recommend Stonehouse for anyone looking for a more personal experience on the island, with all the comforts of home (yes, even cable TV).Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a week at the Stonehouse. It was WONDERFUL. The apartment is lovely and quite large. Joanie could not have been a better host. Cool terra cotta floors, crispy white cotton sheets and a very comfortable queen size bed make sleeping a pleasure. A/C in the bedroom. Ceiling fans in every other room. You REALLY do not need the AC in the whole place (and I am an AC junkie). The caribbean shutters are open and allow a refreshing cross breeze throughout the entire living room and kitchen area. The view overlooks Secret Harbour and St. John and is AWESOME. You are located in the Red Hook section of STT. 3 mins from Secret Harbour. 8 mins from Sapphire Beach. All beaches are public and you can rent chairs and umbrellas BUT if you prefer, Joanie provides chairs (and an Igloo cooler!!) in the closet so you can take them with you and save on the rental. We did this daily and packed lunch and drinks. You are also 5 mins from the Red Hook Ferry. I would highly recommend getting on the ferry to St. John's and spending the day at Trunk Bay or Cinnamon Bay. Bring clothes because there are showers and then go into town for dinner. We had a wonderful time and especially enjoyed our "home" aka Seaglass while we were in St. Thomas. There is NO doubt that when we go back, we will be staying with Joanie.
