Our stay at Millie's Gathering Place was wonderful. My husband and I and three of our adult kids and one grandchild all stayed at Millie's with plenty room. The house is so sweetly decorated and stocked with everything anyone could possible need. The bottom level was perfect for my daughter and son to stay. Having their own area was perfect. We were so close to so many wonderful places to eat it was hard to choose. Nancy and Heather were great to work with and very helpful about the local attractions. My husband and I are already talking about when we might come back to Millie's. It was so beautiful and peaceful. We truly felt revived.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

QMillie's is an older well-kept home in the mid-town section of Reno, not unlike the Willow Glen area of San Jose. It is a nice quiet residential area within an easy (15-20 min) walk to downtown Reno. We selected Millie's for our three-day exploration of the Reno area in early April because of its central location, but comfortable distance from the noise and activity of downtown. The house itself is split into an upper level (where we stayed) and lower level, which may be rented separately (or together with the upper if you are a larger party). This worked well for us since there were only two of us. The upper level consisted of a living and dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Our favorite parts of the house were the kitchen, which had a very nice breakfast area (think coffee and newspaper), and the deck over the car port, which you could step out onto from the kitchen and relax at the end of the day. The place is very homey and a nice break from your standard hotel or motel. I highly recommend it for an extended stay in Reno.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Steve, Thank you for this wonderful review of Millie's, you have capture it's features, comfort and access to the downtown area. Heather

We have had the pleasure of renting this enchanting home for a week in August two years in a row (looking forwared to our third stay here this August). We LOVE this charming and very special home! Heather (and family) are so wonderful, helpful, truly great people! Each year the home has been just fabulous... sparkling clean, TONS of room inside and out, great location, every want and need is attended to here. If you are looking for a truly great experience from start to finish, look no further and book this home; then get ready to simply enjoy.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

This is a HUGE 2 bedroom 2 story house. The pictures make this place look like a typical house but when we arrive we were happily surprised. Its more like a 2 unit home because each floor has its own entrances, bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen. Great location in residential area and close to casinos. Management and housekeeper was very nice and helpful. Next time we are in Reno, we'll be staying here!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

The home(s) were both wonderful. A nice relaxing retreat after working hard at a convention all day. The house was quiet at night. You could open the windows when you slept. It was a safe neighborhood, close to groceries, restaurants and a. Ice little park across the street!Recommended for: Pet owners, girls getaway.

My softball team stayed here for a Tournament in Reno, and it was amazing. The first thing we saw when driving into the parking area, was beautiful grape leaf like vines with white Christmas lights intertwined everywhere. So beautiful. It was so comfortable and very clean. The upstairs has a bedroom, a formal dining area, a living room with a fold out couch, a full bathroom, and a great full kitchen with everything you need to cook and have dinner. The downstairs has a full kitchen, a little living room, a huge bedroom, with a queen bed, full bathroom, and all the way to the left to twin beds in a little nook area. We even found foam pads to use in the huge closets. We were able to fit eight women very comfortably. We had internet access, there is an intercom system so you can speak to people on other levels of the house. However, by far the best part of the house is the patio area. Upstairs there is a full patio with furniture and a BBQ. We spent a lot of time out there. It was so comfortable and so laid back. It is quite a little peace of heaven in the middle of a big city.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

My family had a recent get together in Reno and we are so glad we decided to stay at Millie's. The home is perfect; clean and roomy enough as well as warm and inviting. There are so many things we loved; the front porch, sunny kitchen, dining on the deck and of course all of the beautiful antiques. It reminded us of our grandparents old home. Heather and Nancy were very kind and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Millie's Gathering Place.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This was our second time staying at Millie's for Street Vibrations. What a fabulous place to stay. We went down with two other couples, and had a great time. It is soooo much nicer than staying in a hotel/casino. What a comfortable place to stay. Little surprises in every nook and cranny. Our favorite part is the deck. Great place for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. You can even watch the fireworks that place on the strip. The strip is only a mile walk and very easy to get to. This is now our new home away from home and we plan on making this a regular place to stay for Street Vibrations. I would highly recommend staying at Millie's. I have recommended it to others and they were not disappointed, and you won't be either. Thanks Heather and Nancy for providing such a warm, comfortable and cheerful environment for us to enjoy. We look forward to next year, or who knows maybe even a girls christmas shopping trip!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Lori, Thank You for this wonderful note about Millie's ! it was so nice to meet you and Gary, We love sharing this home and making new friends for life. Our door will always be open to welcome you anytime you wish to come to Reno, even for a shopping trip or girls weekend ! Heather

The property was as described. It was clean, with great amenities. Everything was there other than food. Really loved the patio, we ate outside both nights we stayed there. The owners were really nice, gave us a walk-around, and answered our questions during check-in. There's a couple supermarkets including costco within 10 minutes drive. Very convenient for buying food and groceries.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.
