Our family is scattered across the country and and this was a great place to come to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary! The layout of the back yard was perfect for people to mingle (we had 20 of us total ). The house was cozy, clean and comfortable,better than a hotel! Its in a quiet neighborhood , but also close to the river and hotels, which made it easy for the family members staying downtown. I highly recommend it for your next special event or even a get away!

Millie's Gathering Place - Just like going to Grandma's house

Our extended family of 6 spent New Years (2011-12) at Millie's and had a wonderful time. It felt a lot like the home I grew up in - in fact we have several of the same chairs from my wife's parents' home. We arrived a little early and were met by one of the owners and were talked through the orientation package and several features (gas fireplace, thermostats) were demonstrated. We came up by train and didn't have a car, so getting downtown was a hike, but doable since snow is late this year. The Riverwalk was beautiful! We blew a fuse after dark one evening and an owner was there in just a few minutes to reset the circuit breaker. The downstairs apartment was just the thing to allow the NY's Eve celebrants to come home late and not disturb the "old folks" upstairs. Monday morning had a glorious sunrise and we got several excellent pictures from the upper deck. This is a comfortable, well-maintained place that ordinary people will enjoy. We will tell our friends about it and would certainly stay here again when we are in Reno.

We came a long way from home (The Netherlands) to have our wedding in Reno with friends and we could not have stayed at a more perfect and comfortable home. We enjoyed having an all evening bbq on the terrace, it was located very very conveniently near the city centre, provided enough sleeping space for all of us and even provided the perfect setting for many of our memorable wedding photo's. We are definitely recommending this home to anyone we know that will be visiting Reno or like us (after the wedding) travelling to Burning Man. The homeowners are also very friendly and attend to any of your needs, thank you so much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our special time at Millie's while in Reno for the basketball tournament over at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center - only two miles away! We were delighted to discover just how conveniently located Millie's is to the Convention Center, to downtown, to 395 for the Summit and Legends. It was perfect! There are several good little restaurants, antique stores and even a pet store within just a few blocks - plus, a dog-friendly park just across the street. Our family really enjoyed the charm of this home: the brick driveway, the romantic outdoor lighting, the wisteria, the garden, the firepit where we enjoyed 'smores, the sunny and bright country kitchen and the cozy nook downstairs containing the twin beds. Thank you for a wonderful stay - when we're in Reno, we'll be at Millie's! Thank you!!

What a cozy hide away, in the middle of the city

Hi Heather: We are finally back to our home and want to drop you a note to let you know what a wonderful, ecclectic abode you have. The house is so welcoming and we just feel like it's our own family's home. My daughter commented on how fresh and clean it smells, and my wife was transported straight back to her childhood home in Montana. It was wondeful to walk through the house and in every corner is furnished with a piece of rare antique. And all of it is devoid of dust and are spotlessly clean. I must admit I got into the bookcase and so enjoyed the Sears Roebuck's catalog from 1906! What a treasure! We loved the house, our guests loved the house, and we were so glad to have the opportunity to stay there last week- thoughtful, personal and hospitable touches everywhere. The Perfect Wedding Place!!!!

Our Wedding here at Millie's was so beautiful. We were married 10-9-2010, the grounds were in perfect fall colors, Millie's also provided extra splashes of color to match my eggplant wedding dress. The wisteria all around the top granite deck and the white mini lights were just beautiful. We had a buffet style ham dinner located under the deck and had 5 tables and plenty of beautiful flowers out in the parking area. At Millie's guest must park thru out the neighborhood. Which allows your guest to enjoy the splendor of Old Reno as they walk up to Millie's. Millie's also provided my wedding cake and fresh rose bouquet and boutonniere. The cake was absolutely wonderful. With Millie's able to sleep 8 we were able to have guests from California share in our joy and stay at the home with us. I have many beautiful wedding pictures and so many happy, loving memories of our special day. We owe it all to Millie's Gathering Place!!! Many Thanks, The Miller's.

Millie's Gathering Place was everything it promised. It is a clean, quaint and cozy place. Nancy and Heather were wonderful. Nancy greeted us and made us feel right at home. It was an extremely HOT weekend and Nancy made sure that we were comfortable and that it was OK to keep the AC going. The lawn area in the back was a great place for our grandson to cool off running in the sprinkler! I would definitely recommend Millies place to anyone planning a trip to Reno who wants to avoid staying at the casinos and downtown, yet is conveniently located to that area.

I rented Millie's while I was up in Reno for my wedding as a place to stay w/ my bridesmaids and it was great! The location couldn't have been better, as we were able to just walk downtown for my bachelorette party, it was big enough, conveniently had two kitchens for the meals we cooked and we enjoyed sitting out on the foor for breakfast and dinner. Definitely glad we stayed at Millie's and would stay there again if the opportunity arose.

My family and I enjoyed staying at Millie's. All of my family in Neveda that visited us at Millie's comments on how nice the house is and what a great place. Everyone kept commenting on how Millie's felt like home. I recommend Millie's to any travler stopping in at Reno as a comfortable, clean, everything you need place to stay.

We wanted a venue that was warm and welcome for our son's Boy Scout Eagle Ceremony. Millie's was the perfect place. The owners were kind,helpful and catered to our specfic times and needs. The central location in Reno was ideal for all who were traveling. All our guests commeted on what a beautiful home it was. We enjoyed the warmth and welcoming quaintness of Millies during Street Vibrations. The location was perfect with easy access to all the events. The back yard was our favorite hangout and having covered parking for our bikes was the best. We will definitely visit again and hope to stay at Millies many more times.
