Keywords: House
Romantic Key West style cottage in historic downtown Wilmington -- two bedrooms each with full size bed, and one HUGE bathroom complete with claw foot tub. Walk to the River, shopping, bars, restaurants, live theater, and all the amenities that downtown has to offer.
The home has a large covered rear porch to enjoy the oriental garden and very private backyard. Although the house was built in the late 1800's, it was redone in this century retaining much of its original charm... high ceilings, hardwood and ceramic floors. The "cooks" kitchen, while minus a dishwasher, is fully equipped including blender, Cuisinart, gas range, microwave, side-by-side 'frig, and custom counter-top made of granite and exotic woods.

A girlfriend and I stayed here in April 2011 and fell in love with this charming cottage. It's located within walking distance to downtown, but far enough way to still be quiet and cozy. The backyard garden is beautiful and tranquil; a great place to enjoy a peaceful moment alone or the company of others! Also, the kitchen was well stocked.

i stayed here last january, it was the perfect house, 7 blocks from historic downtown and in a nice quiet area. The house was exactly like the pictures and every bit as stunning in real life. Made a nice change to stay in a house then staying in a hotel. We had a few problems at the beginning with scheduling conflicts but once inside could not fault the house or the owner. Definitely worth the money, i would recommend anyone to stay here, made our vacation.

This was one of the best vacations we have had. The house was perfect and the fact that we could bring our dog was great. Can't say enough positive things about Andrea(owner). Will definately come back again and again

My husband and I spent a long weekend at this cottage. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out - the owner has done a great job "keeping in character" with the historic appeal of the house while ensuring that it has all the modern updates needed to provide for a luxurious stay. It has a huge bathroom, fenced in yard and its open floor plan with high ceilings that make it feel much bigger than it actually is. It's in a great location and Andrea (the owner) is very kind and helpful. We would highly recommend this place to friends and family. In fact, we're hoping to return next year!
