  This was my first VRBO experience and it couldn't have been better. The owners were great to work with - responsive, friendly and accomodating - and the cabin was awesome - great location, stocked with everything you'd need, clean, spacious and well taken care of. We had a fabulous time relaxing around the cabin and exploring the area nearby. It was the perfect weekend up north. I'll definitely use VRBO again and will be back to this cabin for any other trips to the Castle Rock Lake area.

  Wonderful quiet cabin, large yard if you have kids with plenty of trees, everything you need provided short of food and drink. Huge fire pit with excellent wood provided. While not on lake, beach less than mile away. Satellite TV and wifi a big plus. Everything as advertised and owners wonderful to work with.

  My husband and I look for places for get-aways that are quiet and secluded. This cabin near Castle Rock Lake totally out did our expectations! The yard was very large and private. The cabin was very clean and included anything we would possibly need except our clothes! We really appreciated internet access since we could keep up with business emails a couple hours each morning so we could spend the rest of the day just liesurely "hanging out". We were so grateful that we were able to bring our beloved canine companion with us. There were several places near the cabin where we could take her for long walks. The cabin would be excellent for dogless folks as well since it was so clean that there wasn't as much as a dog hair in sight! We would definitely, and have already, recommend a stay at this cabin. We are already checking our calendar for another stay as soon as possible!

  We just got back from a 3 night stay at the cabin, and I can say I am fully impressed! This has to be the cleanest and most fully stocked cabin we have ever stayed in! There were all the comforts of home, while providing the wooded feel you look for in Wisconsin. The location of the cabin is perfectly tucked away from crowds, yet close enough to everything. My 4 yr old twins had such a good time that they felt they needed to color you a picture for letting them stay at your cabin! Thank you for providing us with a great place to vacation and I hope you know we will be recommending your cabin to all our friends who also enjoy castle rock lake!

  Our family had a great time at this cabin! Close proximity to Buckhorn State Park made it perfect for x-country skiing (we practically had the place to ourselves!). The amenities at the cabin made it feel like home -- without the responsibilities of home, of course. Building snowmen, playing board games, enjoying a cozy fire-- all terrific, relaxing ways to ring in the new year!

  This is a clean, comfortable, well equipped property that let us enjoy a lovely Fall weekend away from the city. Fire pit is great for cool evenings, easy walk to nearby lakeside path that was spectacular, comfortable beds and furnishings. Pleasure to deal with the very nice owners. Thanks!

  Steve, thank you for the opportunity to stay at your cabin near (very near) Castle Rock Lake. We had a wonderful time biking, pontooning, swimming, and horse back riding all within minutes or a short car ride, and specially the family discussions/stories around the secluded campfire in the evenings. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking for a centralized, secluded, and VERY well maintained modern cabin near Castle Rock Lake. Thanks again and hope to see you again!

  Steve, Just wanted to send a quick thank you for letting us stay at Rusty's Retreat! We were immediately impressed when we saw just how clean the house was on our arrival! That is definately something that you do not find all the time, and that shows a lot about you as the owner ... and it makes your guests want to return.   We had a great stay at this delightful cabin! It had everything we needed for a relaxing, girlfriend get-away-from-it-all weekend! Very clean, all in order, quiet.... just perfect!
