Location: Sequim, Washington State, USA View Map
Accommodations: House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 8)
This special home is the perfect place for your stay in Sequim. The kitchen has been lovingly updated with new appliances and paint. The large living room has vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, a piano and lots of light! The big back yard and patio are nice and sunny, yet very private thanks to surrounding trees. The wildlife in the area is abundant. Deer are everywhere and bald eagles often perch in the trees just across the road.
The house is only a three block walk to Marine Drive, where the views beyond the Strait of Juan de Fuca expand out to Victoria, the San Juan Islands and beautiful Mt. Baker. The sunrises over Mt. Baker and the sunsets that fill up the western horizon of the strait are breathtaking. There are paths to walk down onto the beach, and for a more vigorous walk the Dungeness Spit trail is only minutes west of the house and offers a beautifully wooded trail to access the spit. From here one can take the seven mile walk along the beach to the lighthouse.
Nash’s Organic Farm Market and Dungeness Country Store are right in the area, where you can pick up fresh organic produce or last minute conveniences, including movie rentals and a nice wine and beer selection. Town is only minutes away where everything you need can be found.
Sequim and nearby Port Angeles host several popular festivals: the Irrigation Festival, Juan de Fuca Art Festival, Lavender Festival, and the Dungeness Crab and Seafood Festival. The area also offers museums, galleries and several wineries where tasting is available.
There are many golf courses in Sequim as well as wonderful opportunities for biking, hiking, kayaking and bird watching. A ferry can be taken from Port Angeles to spend the day walking and shopping in beautiful Victoria. There is so much to enjoy on the Olympic Peninsula and I am certain your time spent in Sequim will be a wonderful experience.
I would love to have you stay at my comfortable home in Dungeness Bay!

Private Getaway in Dungeness Bay
Year Purchased: 1998
Why the Owner Chose Sequim
I grew up three blocks from the ocean in San Diego. Wanting to raise my family in a more rural environment I was excited to discover Sequim, and even more excited to find a very beachy type house that was located only blocks from the water. My children and I spent many happy days walking and playing along the shore and enjoying the comfort of our home and yard. Now that they are grown and onto their own ventures I am delighted to share this lovely home and location with others who plan on visiting Sequim, the beautiful blue hole in the sky!
Owner's Map of Sequim
I am a gardener by profession, a yoga instructor by intention and a writer by passion. I presently live in an old farmhouse in Sequim that is evolving into a retreat center to inspire relaxation, creativity and healing. I have loved the Olympic Peninsula and am delighted as I think of having people from all walks of life and all areas of the world come to stay in my vacation rental, the beautiful spot where I raised my family.
