I stayed here with my family (two small kids) and my parents, and there was plenty of room for everyone - even a visiting aunt came in for a night and no one felt crowded. It is a short walk to the beach, the boardwalk, and restaurants on the harbor, and the house provides all the amenities for making your stay a great one - everything for the beach, bikes, toys, and more. For a family with kids, it was fantastic - they had toys and games in the house, along with kids' dinnerware and step-stools - but it'd be lovely for a group of adults, too. The hot tub is gorgeous and very relaxing, and the lounges on the deck are in great condition. I can't say enough nice things about this house - we'll definitely be back. -Anne

We just got back from our stay in Santa Cruz with our 4 children. We had such a great time and wish could just move right into this house. What a perfect house for a family. It's super close to the beach and fully stocked with absolutely anything you think you might need. Lily has thought of everything! The house is beautiful and amazingly clean...like new! The kids loved the bikes and the boogie board and all of the sand toys and wagon. We loved the hot tub and the gorgeous deck and the convenience of everything. This house is great for families but would also be perfect for an adult get-away. It has a relaxed, clean feel and is equipped for kids but not overrun by kid stuff. Everything is neatly stored away so if you had no children you would not notice the toys available, etc.. We went whale watching and saw a ton of whales, rode our bikes to the Boardwalk, played putt-putt golf and spent a ton of time on the beach. We would also highly recommend The Harbor Cafe for breakfast...yum! We will definitely be coming back!

My family and I are very happy with our stay at the Seabright home. The location is great - only 2 blocks from the beach, close to restaurants, in a quiet neighborhood. The house has everything that is needed for a stay and everything is in good condition. The beds were comfortable, the linens in great condition, all the appliances one would need. The hot tub was an added bonus, so relaxing! The balcony porch in the front of the house was welcoming to sit outside and enjoy the great weather we had. The homeowner was very helpful and responded quickly to any inquiries or questions we had. The property was clean and well maintained. I would not only stay at this home again, but highly recommend it to others. We have 5 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us.

The Seabright home was truly relaxing. The location gave the opportunity to be adventurous either through surfing, boogie boarding, beach combing, and using one of their lovely bikes to go explore the boardwalk or even downtown area. Our older son enjoyed his freedom while bike riding:). Thank you Lily for being so helpful!!

I reserved this lovely home for a short getaway to have an early Thanksgiving dinner with friends. The house is even better than how it is described in the listing. The hot tub is new and easy to use, the decor is tasteful and the house is charming and impeccably clean. I would say it's even closer than a 5 minute walk from the beach. You can clearly see the ocean as you pull up in front of the house. The weather was cold and rainy, but the fireplace kept us very warm. There is also a heat lamp on the deck, the TVs are nice flat screens, a fun selection of movies and games, and a very well-equipped kitchen. Lily, the owner whom I exchanged a number of e-mails with, was very nice, accommodating, and clear. We would gladly stay here again and recommend this home to anyone looking for a beach house rental.

Stayed for a weekend with our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids ages 5,6) along with another couple who brought their 3 young kids. Plenty of room and comfortable for all, tons of stuff for the kids to play with. Beach is right there, and plenty of restaurants a few short steps away if you want to venture out. Aside from the beach, we actually never left, spent a lot of time on the deck with the BBQ going and then in the hot tub. Will definitely return.

My family and I were so impressed by this rental property. Our families have been renting for over 15 years in Santa Cruz for our family reunions and this rental was far the best. We are so glad that we ventured out and tried this property out and we will definitely make sure to reserve this property in the future. The amenities provided and cleanliness of the property were amazing. The kitchen was fully stocked which was great. Some rentals we've been to have minimal cookware, and kitchen supplies. Definitely not this house... It had everything from a lemon/lime juicer, to a griddle, waffle maker, and even barbecue basters, ziplocs, tupperware, foil, seasonings, grill plates for the barbecue, and so much more. The heat lamp was very much enjoyed, plus the switch activated fireplaces... and all the nice, warm, fuzzy, and cozy throw blankets, the down comforters.... We wished we could have stayed longer and next time we will! There were bikes, scooters, beach toys, boogie boards... games for the kids.. I can't say enough about how happy we were with this house. With 4 kids we now know we can rent this house in the future and we know exactly what to expect.. Not to have to pack much because this house has everything you need! Honestly, that is key for us since we have 4 kids! And, what a great location. The older kids could walk everywhere and so could the little ones... .. to the boardwalk, to the beach, to get something to eat.... Try Betty Burgers and their shakes, try aldos, the coffee shop or Linda's Seabreeze Cafe... YUMMM!!! Safe, beautiful, and clean neighborhood... It was a fabulous vacation and we will definitely be back! Thank you Lily, for the use of your nice vacation home and being so prompt and courteous. Another plus was the Hot Tub. It was such a great way to end the day and relax. We all had the best time and can not wait to come back. And, next time, we know we can't pack much lighter... How nice! You will not be disappointed in this rental.

This house is just as advertised - short stroll to the beach, harbor and the boardwalk. It's clean, comfortable and charming! It has all the kitchen amenities you could possibly want - SHARP Henkel knives, cuisinart processor, more than enough silverware, plenty of wine glasses, even a rice cooker! Plenty of beach toys and towels. The kids loved the hot tub and the Wii. And not just a couple Nintendo games, there was a whole box! We were here last year and noticed that the owners are continually upgrading the house from new deck furniture to new mattresses and bath towels. This is not your average rental. It's a beautiful home that shows pride of ownership!

This is a lovely home which is perfectly located within a view of the beach! We truly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, having drinks and appetizers on the deck (fantastic space!!!), and using the bikes for morning rides. The binder provided much needed information about the area, including menus from nearby restaurants. Although we did very little cooking, we found the kitchen to be well stocked. It is also worth noting the wonderful supply of towels and extremely spacious master suite. We had a fabulous time and we look forward to coming back someday!

We stayed here for a couple of nights and had an incredible time! The amenities are fantastic - from the wide range of beach supplies/toys to the gourmet kitchen to the hot tub. It all made for a wonderful stay for our family. Being so close to the beach was great, and resulted in about 3-5 trips to the beach per day for beachcombing, skimboarding, castle building, bonfire at night, smashball (try to beat our record of 57 hits...!). There was plenty of room for our family of five, and space enough for alone time when anyone wanted. All of the bedrooms were really clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable well-appointed getaway this place absolutely fits the bill! We will definitely be making this a regular vacation spot. Thanks again from The Kushmauls!!!

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this house. Two families of four stayed for several days and can't wait to return. The home is in a great, quiet neighborhood, perfect for kids to play and ride bikes outside. One short block from Seabright beach where we enjoyed daytime sunshine and evening sunsets. Ideally located between the Harbor and Boardwalk, where the adults explored during refreshing morning runs. The house itself is clean, modern and perfectly comfortable. Lily (owner) is responsive and helpful. We'll be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful beach house. I have a one and three year old and there were so many items (toys, plates, table and chairs, wagon, I could go on) available to us that made our stay SO much more enjoyable. The locations is perfection, we were able to walk or bike anywhere we wanted. Although we didn't get to use the balcony, we can't wait for our next opportunity to come back and lounge on the deck while sipping a nice drink, barbecuing, and enjoying one another's company. Lily, the owner, was very accomodating with a few of our special needs. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back again. Thanks Lily!!

My girlfriends and I recently stayed at this lovely home for a long weekend getaway. As there were 9 of us, we decided that a beach house was much better than getting several hotel rooms. I have to say that this was the best decision we made as the house was comfortable, clean, and located in a great area by the Harbor! There was plenty of room for us to gather around in the common areas. The living room was cozy and the fireplace is a great little perk. If only the weather would have cooperated, we would've loved to use the upper deck as it was so spacious and even had a heat lamp! The bathrooms and bedrooms were very well kept and the kitchen area was well stocked. The best part about this process was working with the owner, Lily. She was so gracious and easy to work with, which made our vacation getaway more relaxing and enjoyable! She was quick to respond to questions and emails and was very thorough with the check-in, check-out process! Whenever our next getaway takes place in Santa Cruz, we are definitely coming back to this great home!

We had a wonderfull long weekend in this beach house, and I agree with the other reviews posted here, this place has it all. We have young children, and the owner does too, so the place was very accomodating, with the right age games, toys, safety, etc. Living in the east bay, we sometimes think of the beach as a far away. It took us about an hour each way, door to door. Very easy get away for a few nights.

We had the best stay at this home over Labor Day Weekend. It was such a pleasure to deal with the owners regarding the rental, and the home was wonderful. The location cannot be beat, you are right down the street from the beach entrance! We walked each morning to the harbor and had coffee at Aldos, took a ride on the water taxi etc. The home is so comfortable and spacious! We enjoyed the huge balcony so much too. We were sad to leave and immediatly called to see when we can rent this perfect home again! This was a great first VRBO experience!!

My friends and I just rented this home for a weekend and loved it! By far, this was the best stocked rental home I have ever experienced! We found a gourmet kitchen waiting for us complete with waffle irons, a pancake griddle, Calphalon pots and pans, 20+ Henckel knives, Cuisinart Toaster Oven and even a salad spinner! I felt like I was staying in a friends' home since everything was high quality. The home is located in a really nice neighborhood just a block away from Seabright Beach. Many people drive to come play at this beautiful beach and for us it was just an easy walk down the street. The best part of this rental is that you have access to so many things without needing to drive anywhere! We walked to the Boardwalk through the neighborhoods and then strolled back along the beach (with one easy knee-deep water crossing). Our group walked over to the tasty Betty's burger joint (shakes are delicious!) that was just 2 blocks away. And there are beach cruiser bikes with locks for you to cruise around on, too! This place really had everything you needed... and more! Laundry is conveniently located in the garage with laundry soap provided. We fired up the propane grill and also the propane heat lamp on the upper-level deck for a great group feast around a spacious, high-quality patio table. The hot tub was top of the line with multi-colored light features. We also found 2 air mattresses to help move people around to accommodate light sleepers and snorers... The owners really do provide all the amentities that you could possibly think of. Hope you have a great time here, too!

Having grown up in the Seabright area, our family always rents a house there for our summer vacation. This house, we all decided, was the best of any we have rented. It is bright, well located, comfortable, clean, extremely well stocked (from kitchen to beach gear to bikes) and just a fun place to stay. Highlights were: the spacious upstairs deck, the upstairs grill, the outdoor fiidge on the deck, the hot/cold outdoor shower (great for the kids), the switch-controlled fireplaces, and the responsiveness and courtesy of Lily, the owner. We'll be back for sure!

The charming and friendly Seabright neighborhood has many tasteful houses, along with others more run-down, depending on the street. This house, two blocks from the beach, is a beauty and the owner/occupiers keep it right up to date with high-quality furnishings and careful maintenance. We were not disappointed in any way. Notable: The upstairs master suite with large balcony with barbecue. Also: Close to shops/restaurants at Seabright & Murray. The VRBO description was accurate, once you accept that "2.5 baths" includes the outside hot shower; inside it's two full baths. The owner is always helpful with any questions. Recommended.

My daughter was going to be married in Santa Cruz and I could not find a hotel that would be able to accommodate all ten of us.....a friend suggested I try a beach house, I did and it was the best, most comfortable, most restful stay I have ever had away from home. The house was beautiful, spacious, well stocked, and perfectly fit the descriptions that were given on the web page. We all had such a great time that both sides of the family are considering staying here for future vacations. This was the first of many more vacations for our family at this house.

Our stay was wonderful! Your home is so welcoming and comfortable. Thank you for all the homey touches: from a well stocked kitchen to comfortable beds to great outdoor space to the use of your beach equipment. The best part for us was the location. We had a house full of teens and they could be independent going to the beach, boardwalk or shops with ease. Several restaurants within walking distance was a plus. We will definitely be back next time we head to Santa Cruz!

My wife and I stayed here with our daughter, son- in law and 2 year old granddaughter. This is a very well kept, newly remodeled and comfortable house. We especially liked the fact there are lots of windows giving light and feeling of openness. The location is a short walk to the beach and comes supplied with mountain bikes that we used to view the coast board walk. We are in the business of vacation rental on Maui and appreciate a vacation rental well located and well done, we will be back.

Lily, the owner, is fabulous and very professional. Coming from Silicon Valley, I appreciated the quick responeses, the straight answers and expectation management she provided; definitely made me feel like I could trust her. It also happens to be that I am from Santa Cruz, the location of her rental. SC is very laid back and easy going, that is exactly what the house brings to you when you walk in....relaxed yet put together, a fabulous combo of both personalities. We had a group of 6 gals one night and 8 the next it worked out wonderfully. The kitchen is well stocked, there is room to hang out, I would say the only down side is lack of mutual dinning space, which we substituted with a lovely experience on the upstairs deck for all and spreading ourselves out in the dining/living room. It worked out just fine. The upstairs was a nice slice of the pie...it can be separated from downstairs and has the bonus of a hot tub, mini kitchen and fabulous deck! Thanks Lily, it was easy doing business with you and I appreciate that very much,

This is a beautiful, clean, bright, and spacious home. It was nice that everything was new and it was totally equipped for our use... including the littlest things like tupperware and kitchen spices. We just stayed here with another family and the location is ideal. It is so close to the beach, and also a short walk to the boardwalk, our kids enjoyed both of these activities daily. We walked to breakfast in the mornings at a local coffee shop and also a restaurant and we enjoyed late afternoon dining on the harbor while watching the boats come in. We will come back again!

My wife and 2 kids stayed here in Aug and couldn't have been more happy staying in such a nice property. The house is well taken care of and offers everything you could need for a vacation at the beach. The master suite and expansive deck were great to relax in after a day at the beach. The kids liked being within a short walk of the boardwalk. We would return for a visit without hesitation.
