GREAT GET-AWAY ON THE BEACH

This Condo lives up to the pictures displayed on the internet. It is very clean, nicely decorated and everything works well. The park view is lovely as well as the ocean view. The park has its advantages, but it can be noisey on Saturday nights. Pranksters keep setting off the car alarms of cars parked around the park and there is a lot of shouting going on. The fireworks on Friday night are exciting. The people that work in the lobby are friendly and helpful as well as any other workers in the building and on the grounds.

We stayed at this condo recently (November 2011) and found the location was great, right on the beach with a beautiful view. There were a few disapointments though: 1) we were promised use of the pool next door but when we arrived were told we couldn't use it because the condo was independently owned; 2) also because it was independently owned we couldn't get any room service at all, even if we agreed to pay for it (the garbage wasn't picked up, no cleaning was done); 3) the curtains wouldn't roll up, there was a strong gas smell from the stove and because we didn't rent off of the complex got little help until the last day when someone came to fix the dishwasher (it was broken the entire time we were there). In all the condo was nice but we felt like second class citizens because we didn't rent one of their units.
Owner response: I have reviewed our web sites, your correspondence with me and have spoken at length with the management at the Waikiki Shore. Nowhere is there any inquire of yours, mention, promise or intimation of access to the pool or room service next door at the Outrigger Reef Hotel. That is a separate facility and you would need to book directly with them to get those services. The Maintenance Manager at the Waikiki Shore immediately responded to your call regarding the gas smell. He found that the burner knob had been partially turned on and turned it off. Your wife apologized to him and said that you had bumped against it and inadvertently jarred it on. As stated in my directions to you regarding the trash pickup, the trash needed to be set out early every morning for pickup that day. You apparently set it out later so that it wasn't picked up until the next day. My directions also stated that hotel services were not included but that you could order cleaning services from the front desk. Apparently, you chose not to do that. If you had trouble with raising the blinds, you should have called the front desk and they would have sent a maintenance man to show you how to raise them. He could also have explained how to operate the dishwasher. I trust that this answers your concerns and regret that you did not enjoy your visit.

My Niece and I had a wonderful stay at this Waikiki Shores Unit August 7th-15th 2011. We had everything we needed in the condo including washer/dryer and full kitchen. All the furnishings were very comfortable, and modern. The Balcony was a very good size and the view of the sunset was spectacular, along with the Friday night fireworks that went off at Hilton Hawaiin Village. It is situated on the beach next to the Ft De Russey Park which was very nice, also very close to Lewers street for shopping. Our favorite restaurants nearby were, Roy's, The Yard House, and Shore Birds. This was my first trip to Oahu, and I wish to be back in the next couple years, and would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Beautiful condo, and great spot on Waikiki Beach. The owners were very easy to deal, and very nice. Everything that we expected from our stay in this unit, was spot on, and the pictures are very accurate. Thank You for making our stay a wonderful experience, our whole trip was perfect

We stayed at this condo in Sept. 2010. It was beautiful. We were in a great location right on Waikiki Beach. All we had to do was go down the elevator and walk down some stairs and we were on the beach. Right outside the gate are some shops including a Subway. There are also beach chair and umbrella rentals right on the beach. We were right across the street from a lot of restaurants. There were also ABC stores all over the place, where you can get supplies and souvenirs. We especially enjoyed the Friday night fireworks from the balcony. The view was amazing. We were right by a park so privacy was great.Parking is in an enclosed garage underneath the building so your car is safe and you just have to take the elevator down to the garage to access your car. The property was clean and well maintained. The condo was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the time we spent there. I would definitely recommend this condo to my friends and family or anyone coming to Oahu.
