The Unique Benefits at this House

On the water, across from golf course, near excellent restaurants and grills in a resort area with easy access to our business. Perhaps the most lovely and private view of the lake. Lake does not freeze so the view varies daily. Not disturbed by ice fishermen. Good fishing off the dock.

Memorable Stay!

Guest: Dee (Western NY)
Date of Stay: 10/20/11 Review Submitted: 11/08/11

We stayed at Julie's Lake House the weekend of October 20, 2011. There were four families for a total of 12 people staying in the area to attend our neices wedding. We decided to get a bigger place so we could relax for a few days and catch up with each other. We sure made the right decision. All 12 of us had beautiful, luxurious accomodations and room to spread out. The Lake House is a real jewel in the FInger Lakes region. We all enjoyed it so much we are trying to figure out a date that we can all get together again for a week next summer. Upon arrival Julie met us and walked us through this beautiful home. It is even more pretty than the pictures. It is spotless, and had everything you could possible need and very well supplied. We had relatives over one evening and they were all envious of our nice accomodations. The location was convenient to Geneva, the views were spectacular. We got a lot of use of the premisies for our short stay. We had a fire going one cool evening outside and in some of the numerous fireplaces. I am trying to think of something that was not good, and cannot think of anything. The booking process was easy and Julie a professional who loves what she does. This is the place for families to enjoy together, it has private spaces to go to, it is large and well stocked. I highly recommend the Lake House. We have many wonderful memories from our stay there. A Great Vaction

Lakeside Villa is the perfect vacation house for a large group. There are 13 of us but there was plenty of room for all of us. Even though it is so large, the house has a very cozy and comfortable feel. The train track that runs in front of the homes on Glass Factory Bay was a bit of a concern, but not to worry. We were never bothered by the few trains that went by and the grandkids (5 of them) loved watching them and waving to the engineers. Both the children and the adults spent a good portion of each day in the water which was quite warm and surprisingly calm. The location of the house is convenient to everything.......marina, shopping, restaurants, wineries. Sitting on the deck in the evening with a glass of wine watching night fall over the lake was my favorite part. We truly enjoyed our week here and are only sorry that the time went so quickly. Thank you Julie and family for being so accomodating and for sharing your lovely home with us.

The Lakeside Villa is beautiful, and has a relaxing atmosphere. The house had plenty of room for our party of 12. The inside and outside have areas where all 12 of use could come together comfortably. The multiple livingrooms allowed for some private or quiet time. We enjoyed sitting out on the porches and patios during the day and in the evening. The view of the lake can be enjoyed from inside the house as well as on the porches and patios. The house is very close to the marina, shopping and restaurants. The owners make themselves available to you, if you have any issues with the house or are in the need of assistance, they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. We truly had a wonderful time and look forward to staying at the Lakeside Villa again.

Lakeside Villa

Date of Stay: 05/16/11 Review Submitted: 06/11/11

Our daughter lives in Arizona but wanted to get married home in New York on May 20th. We decided on Geneva and after speaking with the owner, and viewing the house, (which was accurately described and pictured in the ad) chose Lakeside Villa as home base. As the wedding party and family and friends arrived throughout the week from all over the country, we enjoyed the days before and after the wedding here. There was enough sleeping room for 4 adults in our family, the bride and groom, the groom's parents, the best man, 2 more bridesmaids and 2 flower girls and plenty of room and parking to entertain 40 guests at a brunch the day after the wedding. It rained most of the week, but both decks are covered and the view over the water was beautiful (excepting the occasional fog). Every room facing the water has gorgeous windows. The villa is very accessible to restaurants and grocery stores, wineries and the pretty town. The sun shone on our beautiful bride, the wedding was perfect and this was home. Thanks to Julie and John Sullivan.

Wedding Weekend

Guest: Bride (Charlottesville, VA)
Date of Stay: 03/18/11 Review Submitted: 04/15/11

Since my family is from out of town and we were getting married at the Belhurst Castle, I wanted to find a place with enough room for everyone. We stayed at this home and it is absolutely beautiful. Ten people slept very comfortably and we even had one spare bedroom left! The unbelievable views could be seen on the walkout deck on both levels as well as from many of the rooms through the wall-sized windows. There was plenty of parking, 5 full clean bathrooms, the kitchen was fully stocked and there were even movies available in the media room for quite nights at home! The only thing I regret is not being able to use the Jacuzzi since it was so cold outside but I can image how amazing it would be to sit in it and watch the sunset. We had everything we needed in the place and everyone love their stay. Thank you so much Julie and Jon!

Owner response:We were so glad you chose our home for family and friends to stay in the process of becoming a married lady. Getting married took all your time and you didn't get to enjoy the great outdoors much and the weather was a bit cool. We're trusting in a return visit to celebrate and recall all the fond memories. Life is so full of things to do and places to go. This couple and family chose the Lakevilla home where you can just step out onto a beach. Walk down the dock and get in your chose of watercraft to tour the boundries of the 31 mile long lake. When your inside you feel like your enjoying the great outdoors from large windows wherever your standing or sitting. A 18 hole golf coarse behind the home with fabulous lake views where you can get some exercise. All that good fresh air causes you to be hungry and theres some great places for lunch within minutes. If your tired and don't want to grill theres a few culinary spots just around the bend. The home is situated right off route 14 the wine trail where you can turn right or left for a adventure for your taste buds to see what they like this season. The wineries also have bistros to try their culinary arts. Thinking of culinary we have an institute 17 minutes in Canandaigua that has a tasting room of FingerLake wines and also a school to increase your cooking skills. Dinner also is available. Lake Canandaigua is a good place for a strole and watch the windsurfers and boaters. You might want to brave and try a lesson or rent a canoe and go venture around the island where during a siege the Indians hid their squaws and children, called Squaw Island. Canandaigua has nice shops and historic places to tour. Back to home on Lake Seneca to view the sunset with such a expanse of color and of coarse to get up and see the rising of the sun right before you. It sets the awe and wonder for a new day to enjoy with all your loved ones. Life is so full of things to do and places to go.

Great for large group yet private!

Date of Stay: 10/03/10 Review Submitted: 10/19/10

We rented this home to get away as a family and celebrate our Dad's 60th birthday. This was the 1st time we all went away together and wasn't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! The house was perfect for all 15 of us. Each family had their own bedroom and living area. It felt as if we each had our own little villa. The decor was very tasteful, warm and relaxing. The views from, too many rooms to mention, were outstanding! It felt as if you were on a cruise ship! The decks and patios were great. The covered porch overlooking the lake is huge and came in handy when it rained, which it did for two days unfortunately. This did give us a lot of time to enjoy each others company but still go off into one of the four living rooms to take a quiet nap. The landscaping was very nice and tropic like gardens down to the lake made for a nice walk down to the large dock. The kids enjoyed bike riding down the quiet road behind the house and even received some free wine grapes from the neighbors. The owner was very nice and helpful. She gave us a tour of the house when we arrived and pointed out many must see spots. There is also a private villa on the lower level with a kitchen, and living area that overlooks the lake. It too has a patio that is also lakeside. The vineyards are all close by and some within walking distance. There is a lot very close to this house. We ate at Nonna's Italian restaurant only 5 mins away and had an enjoyable meal. I would say the only negative would be the train track in front of the house. While the train only went by twice during our three day stay I did hear and feel it coming.....then again a few of us did even know it came by one night at 10pm. Overall it is a great place for a large group to have some major fun! We were there for the start of the fall season and would love to go back in the summer! Thanks for the memories!
