Return to the time of “the fine art of doing nothing” as another NY writer describes the quiet north end of Anna Maria Island. Several years ago we discovered the island’s simple pleasures, beautiful beaches and wonderful homes. In all our travels around the world, it was Anna Maria where we kept returning. Nothing quite compares to the sugary white sand, the ease of access to beaches, the wonderful wildlife and ease of walking and biking. And sunsets, incredible sunsets!
We want you to experience the same vacation that we have come to enjoy throughout the years.
“Our Place by the Sea”, with 2,000 sf, is a three minute walk to the beach on the cherished North End of Anna Maria. We’re also a five minute walk to the Rod and Reel Pier pictured in the NY Times article and a beautiful 15 minute beach walk to the Sandbar Restaurant as the article describes. Picture a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home of casual, upscale elegance. French doors from the sunroom open onto a fantastic new patio and beautiful heated pool. Pull a wagon to the beach. It’s just a three-minute walk to the Seagrape entrance at beautiful Bean Pointe where you will enjoy one of the world’s most beautiful white sand beaches. Watch the dolphins playfully swim or boats sail by.
Hop on your bikes for lunch at Ginny’s and Jane E’s. Enjoy their great BLT’s, cappuccino and sumptuous baked goods. Kids want to try fishing? Walk over to Rod & Reel Pier and when you grow a little hungry again, don’t forget to try their great island grouper sandwich. Catch a bite of dinner at the Sandbar, the Beach Bistro, the Waterfront, or any one of the fine restaurants on the north end and return to the beach with your chairs to catch the beautiful sunsets that take your breath away. We’re also not far from historic Pine Avenue where you can rent bikes, additional beach equipment, safe and unsinkable kayaks plus beach and baby equipment.

We enjoyed the stay at your house very much. The pool is fantastic and very special with the "waterfall" Our little son (2 1/2 year old) wanted to stay there inside all the time. He also was the one that discovered the toys for the children outside, he liked the truck very much! We felt here like home, your house is beautifully decorated and the colors are warm and friendly. We hope to come back sometime. You have a wonderful little paradise here at Anna Maria! Thank you!

"Our Place by the Sea" is a real gem. We found our stay to be comfortable and relaxing, the perfect house for a family. We appreciated your attention to detail in everything that was offered, especially the toys and blankets for young children. This was our second trip to Anna Maria and will return again sometime soon.

We were thrilled with the house, it's lovely! The kids really enjoyed the pool and have left 2 body boards for other visitors. We have been numerous times in the past to Anna Maria Island but never this far north. It was good to discover fishing off the pier. We also took a boat out and deep-sea fished. Ralph & Beth on the beach at Cortez were great at organizing that. We caught a small shark and a 130 lb Tarpin - rare for this time of the year, but we have the photos to prove it! Thank you very much. I hope all future rentals are as successful as ours!

We had a fantastic time here celebrating my dad's 60th birthday. The house was perfect for a family-lots of things to do and lots of different areas. The pool is fantastic! Really like the sound of the waterfall. I like the close each access but we also discovered the Bean Point access off the end of one of the roads closer to the bay side. It is like a forest back there and several parrots actually answered the sounds of our bike horns! Fun! Anyway-thanks-planning to return in December!

Mum, Jude & I were the luckiest. We got to start our vacation before the rest of our family arrived. That gave us plenty of time to enjoy the house and pool -- especailly for Jude and his Grandma! We did worry that returning back to Anna Maria may not live up to our expectations. We shouldn't have worried! Everything was perfect and we are now totally sold on this end of the island - including your home. Some of the specifics that we want to mention are: -Kitchen was very well stocked -Pool & garden area is fabulous. Well designed and very well furnished. -TVs and cable was so helpful when our active 3year old needed some quiet time. -The location to the beach and the Sandbar Restaurant was perfect! We truly hope to return.

We first visited Anna Maria Island in2003. We fell in love with the island and t his ear, we decided to return for a much needed family holiday. We looked at lots of properties and we finally decided on "Our Place by the Sea". The house totally exceeded all our expectations!!!! We were very excited about returning to Anna Maria and when we arrived here, we felt so very at home. The house is very thoughtfully and beautifully decorated and the little details truly made a difference to our visit. Thank you so much for creating a relaxing, well stocked house, for us to enjoy. We take home many wonderful memories and the desire to return again soon.
