Zarcero is a very unique place. Beautiful views everywhere you look. The climate is awesome, 60 to 80 degrees average. Zarcero is well known for the Palmito cheese and Sour cream. The people are very friendly and very hospitable. If you like the out doors and Mountains, Zarcero is the place to be. And don´t forget the Zarcero Park, the most re-known Park in all of Costa Rica.
Casa la Palmita is located 2 miles south of Zarcero and 10 miles north of Naranjo. We are only 45 min. away from the Airport, and one hour from downtown San José. Only about one hour from Arenal and Poas Volcano, and hour and a half from Puntarenas. Jacó is two hours away. We are centrally located, as you can see, no question about it.
Casa la Palmita offers: maid service, hot water in every faucet, laundry service, Airport service, and more. Owners live on site, and can provide any help you might need to make your stay a joyful one. A car is sometimes available for daily rental. Year Purchased: 2005
I was borne in Puerto Rico, grew up in New York, and lived in Florida for 20 years before moving to Costa Rica. Me and my wife Susan decided to retired early, and moved to a place that was affordable and that offered a decent standard of living. After much research, we found Costa Rica to be the right place for us. We both like the country atmosphere, the quiet living and the small town concept. Susan is from Connecticut, and has family in Arkansas. We speak English and Spanish.
Why the Owner Chose Alajuela
We bought a three story building, which we remodeled, and decided that we can earn some income by renting one of the floors. So we prepare the second floor with all the living necessities for a couple with kids, to have a nice place to stay without spending an arm and a leg. Zarcero is cheap enough to do all you want and still be close to all the attractions.
