The Ajijic mountainside overlooking Lake Chapala is the setting for the guest casita of this classic Mexican estate newly constructed in 2009. The location of this private and walled estate is in easy walking distance (5 blocks) to the center of Ajijic where many restaurants, shops and galleries are available for your enjoyment. For the more athletic individuals, just two blocks from our entry gate is the beginning of several hiking trails.
The casita has its own private courtyard complete with flowers galore, a sparkling fountain, a lime tree (for margarita making), and a barbeque grill. Overlooking the courtyard is a large terrace with a wrought iron table and two chairs. On the terrace you can sip your morning coffee and view Lake Chapala and majestic Mount Garcia. Inside the casita is a fully furnished kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, gas stove, coffee maker, etc.). For your viewing pleasure, there is satellite television. Adjacent to the bedroom is the utility area with full-sized clothes washer and dryer. Also, the casita is wired for hi-speed internet. Maid service is provided one day each week.
A special treat is our rooftop "Mirador" with a breathtaking panoramic view of Ajijic, Lake Chapala and the mountains. The mirador is covered and has a dining table with seating for four.... A lovely place to enjoy your evening cocktail and watch the sun set.
The owners (Tony and Linda) live in the main house and are available to answer questions regarding Mexico. Also, tony is very active on the tennis courts instructing intermediate to advanced players. Private lessons are $30 per hour.
