Perfect weekend getaway! The unit was beautiful, very clean and so close to everything that we never took the car out of the garage! We hit the Mammoth Brewery which was fun; the hot tub was perfect after a long day; and the restaurants and shops were fun. Loved the weekend and hope to come back! Great value, that's for sure! This was a great place to stay and very close to everything. The pool was heated and we were able to enjoy it during the day in the middle of October. The condo was exactly as shown and the kitchen had everything that you would need. The owner was excellent to work with and every easy to get a hold of. We will definitley be back and renting the same place. Spent two days fishing and caught 15 fish!! Would love to go in the winter with snow......and maybe without the kids! :)

This is just what you want and hope for in a vacation rental. We found the description, photos, and reviews to be accurate. The condo was spotlessly clean, the kitchen well-equipped, and the bed very comfortable. The owners respond quickly to any questions you may have. The Village is a great location for dining and night-life choices, but that can be a drawback if you're in the "wrong" unit. This unit is truly on the quiet side of the Village. If you go to Mammoth for hiking, as we did, Duck Lake is worth the effort - it's a jewel.

My family and I love coming up to Mammoth and we periodically rent a condo for our stay. This particular condo is located in a wonderful setting with all imaginable amenties. Close to restaurants and shops that are litterally a short walk away (don't need to cross any roads, or drive). Pool , spa, gym , small video games room will keep the kids busy for hours. Underground security parking was a plus and we didnt have issues with our open bed truck. Friendly and receptive staff. The room itself was great - clean, spacious, with a deep tub for soaking, and well stocked kitchen. We appreciated the rooms location at the beginning of a long hallway, being close to all exits/elevators, and we didn't have any problems with noise whatsoever. Would seriously consider using again in the future. Thanks Lisa.

We enjoyed our peaceful, refreshing retreat in the beauty of the mountains with equal beauty inside the condo owned and appointed by Lisa and Bill Gillis. This condo has every amenity anyone could want, whether staying for a few days or a few weeks. We found it natural to refer to this condo as "home" upon returning from hiking or sightseeing for the day. We stayed for 8 days, enjoyed the quiet, conveniently located home within the Village, and got the rest and recreation we were hoping to get. We look forward to coming back!

Stayed four days. Hiked all day then came back to a truly 'home away from home'. The condo has all the comforts you could want, right down to a portable humidifier in case you have trouble with dry mountain air. We especially enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen. It was obvious the owners, Lisa and Bill, care about the comfort of their guests. The lodge concierge was also very helpful, and walking to shops and restaurants is a plus. We would not hesitate to return.

Our family of four had the most amazing time. It was clean, had everything we needed including cooking utensils, paper towels, TP, towels, extra pillows (although we were glad we brought extra blankets/sleeping bags), dishwasher & soap. The location was perfect and the price was right. Cleaning fee seemed a bit high. Overall it was an incredible destination for a weekend getaway.

Owners are great and very responsive. Condo is clean and nicely furnished and equipped with everything you need. Had a great stay in early May with my 3 kids and some unexpected fresh powder. Location of condo is very convenient as it it just inside the front door to the right and close to the elevators. A very fair price for a nice condo. Size was perfectly fine for me and 3 kids. Skip the Smokeyard restaurant. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food and it was overpriced. Like a Chili's restaurant really with much higher prices. Staying at the Village itself was nice as it was convenient to have a Starbucks and a general store nearby. Hope to be able to return soon.

Took our first trip to Mammoth last week. So glad to have found this condo. Lisa and Bill are the perfect hosts, they even mailed us maps and information before we left. As others have mentioned, the location is spectacular. After picking up some groceries in town on day one, our car remained in the garage for the rest of our stay. Everything you want is within walking distance. The village is a fun place to explore, pretty quiet during the week. But a variety of different bars and restaurants to visit after each day on the slopes. The condo itself was impeccably clean and very comfy. The Grand Sierra Lodge is a classy place. Many thanks to Bill and Lisa.

This was a girls weekend away, staying for two nights and this location was just perfect, literally two minutes walk to the Gondola and all the restaurants and bars in the Village. The condo was perfectly furnished including consideration of needed extras like coffee grinders, corkscrew with extra wine glasses! As soon as we arrived, we both started planning our return visits. The condo is exactly like the pictures and was spotlessly clean and quiet (no noise at night even though it's near the bars). I found the price a little expensive, but still was a bit cheaper than similarly spec-ed condos in the village complex. The owner - Lisa, was excellent with communiction which is actually the reason I selected her condo over the others I looked at. Very happy and will definitely return!

We just spent four days in this condo and enjoyed the location, convenience and affordability. Compared to the same accomodations in the village the rates are very reasonable and the condo is well maintained! We highly recommend this for anyone considering staying in the village and we will definetely return. If you need to rent equipment the convenience of renting near the gondola and just walking about 20 yards to load with no stairs or long line is a plus and convenient!

Just returned from a 2 night last minute stay. Thanks Lisa for making everything so smooth. We've stayed at other units in The Village. (We won't stay anywhere other than The Village. Park your car when you arrive and start it up again when you leave. That's our favorite part.) This unit is the most perfect of all. Quiet. Close to elevators. Beautiful inside. We stayed in this condo the week before Christmas and absolutely loved it. There was 3 of us total - two adults and one 8 year old and the condo had plenty of room for the three of us. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you might need to prepare a simple meal (we only prepared breakfast). The location of the unit is close to the front entrance so it was very convenient, and it was on the "front side" of the building so there was no noise from the village, or from the pool/hot-tub. The owners were incredibly responsive and the transaction was very easy and professional. We would definitely consider this rental again in the future.

I just returned from a wonderful few days in Mammoth. The location of this condo is perfect. It's on the same floor as the lobby when entering the Grand Sierra lodge and close by the front so you dont have to schelp your stuff too far down the hallway. The ski locker came in handy as well, however, when staying at a village property you can use the overnight ski storage just under the gondola which is what I did. Made it so easy in the morning. Everything you need is in this unit.. you will want for nothing. Thank you to Lisa for setting me up with this last minute trip.

We fully enjoyed our time in Mammoth this fall and your condo was just perfect. It was close to all the activities in the Village yet it was quiet and private due to its location on the forest side of the building. The condo was clean and well maintained and the photos gave an accurate description of how nice and comfortable it was inside. The private deck also was a nice bonus. The pool and hot tub felt great after a day of hiking and activities. It was conveniently located so that we could easily walk to many of the restaurants and stores in the area. It was nice to have a safe and convenient place to park our car. The owners were great to work with and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We are looking forward to coming back. My wife and I spent a week at the village condo and loved it. It is a perfect location for a visit to Mammoth Lakes. One can leave the car in the secure underground parking and utilize the free buses and trolley to travel into town for supplies, up to Mammoth Mountain to ski or mountain bike and up to the Lakes Basin for unlimited hiking. The system of bike and walking trails is just outside your door and it is the best system that I have ever seen in a mountain town and reduces the number of vehicles on the roads. This unit is in a quiet section of the complex and close to the elevator. The pool and hot tubs are close by and are a great place to head after a long day of hiking. A highlight of our trip was an outstanding dinner at Tamarack Lodge at Twin Lakes. We will be back!

We loved staying at this condo. The owners were extremely professional to deal with and very available. The condo itself was very clean and tidy. All the comforts of home. Located in the "Village" it is close to everything including the Mountain Bike Park, Mammoth Lakes and some great places to eat. We had a wonderful time as a family. Mammoth has really done a great job with the bike trails around the town and up to the lakes. There are public busses you can ride for free. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful condo!

We have been coming to Mammoth for fishing in the summer and skiing in the winter for many years. This is by far the BEST place that we ever stayed. Very conveniently located, clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. The owners, Lisa and Bill had put in a lot of thoughts in this place. They are also very organized and responsive to emails. They put their best things in the Condo. I love that glass cruet! I have been looking for one ever since. The sound of the ipod speaker is great. The little box of sundries and accessories in the bathroom was very thoughtful. We had a wonderful time staying here. We would HIGHLY recommend this place to others :o)

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a total of 3 nights. We have stayed at other hotels in Mammoth and wanted to try something closer to the mountain. Boy were we impressed! The unit itself is amazing (spotless, well-kept, modern) and very conveniently located in the heart of the village (literally upstairs from all you could want/need). The owners of the unit are extremely friendly and hospitable. Communication was both smooth and pleasant! They made us feel like we were staying with friends! There is no doubt that this is the first place we will look to stay for our next Mammoth trip!

We stayed over spring break with our two children, 3yr old and 14 yr old. It snowed everyday at the end of April...WOW! We had a blast. The location was as good as it gets!! Did not have to use the car once. The kids had a great time (so did mom and dad). The condo is very cute and comfortable, highly reccommend this unit.

Fabulous place to stay when in Mammoth

My husband and two kids, five and seven, recently spent three nights in this condo. We rent condos quite frequently and have stayed at various Village condos as well as at the Westin. This unit is by far one of the best condos we've stayed in. It's big enough for four people, has a full kitchen (compared to the Westin that has more kitchenettes than kitchens) and is fully equipped (and I mean fully - down to the coffee grinder!). It's a very quiet unit and is very close to the elevators and the stairs down to the pool. The only "negative," and it's not really a negative because it contributes to the unit being so quiet, is that it is located on the "back" side of the building and on a low floor so you have zero view. But considering that you spend all day up on the mountain, it doesn't really matter. The owners are also great as the communication is outstanding. Thank you for letting us share your little piece of heaven up in Mammoth. We'll be back for sure!

The location of this condo is amazing! Litterly 15 paces inside the Grand Sierra Lodge and you arrive at the front door! This unit is just 30 paces from all of the amazing shops, resturants, etc. The unit is highly upgraded, has a great open layout and is very nice throughout. The owner was awesome to work when booking this property and I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an awesome place to stay in Mammoth!

We've stayed here several times and every trip seems to get better. It has all the amenties both inside the unit and within walking distance. WooHoo...What a great location for the family vacation. We used everything available to us for the week we were there...Pool, spa, BBQ, kitchen, entertainment Room, arcade etc. We ate at all the recommended places that Bill & Lisa provided info on and found a few secret places as well. We left this information in the guest book. There is a great hiking, biking & running trail (We used it for all 3) right outside “The Villages” called “Uptown” & Downtown” that felt like you were hundreds of miles outside of town yet it was only outside our door. Definitely shop at Von’s so you can use the kitchen as it saves a lot of $$$ and also provides the relaxing down time needed. The concierge was very helpful as I hit him up every day with questions on canoes, horse, hikes, food… Wow, what an awesome family vacation place. I can only imagine how special it would be in the winter, but I know it will be an annual place for us to visit in the summer!!!

August 2009 was our first summer trip up to Mammoth. We always wanted to stay at the Village, and it didn't disappoint! The condo was centrally located and met our needs. We were able to explore in any direction to find hiking trails, bike paths and fishing lakes. We loved the condo, the amenities, and the close proximity to eateries and activities. It was very clean and the perfect size for us. The condo was in a quiet location and had a private patio for relaxing and taking in the mountain air. We hope to be able to stay at the same location during our future visits to the mountain. Thanks again!

Once you stay here, there isn't another place that rivals its centralized location for both winter and summer sports. The gondola from the Village to Canyon lodge is quite possibly one of the best features because you are only 100 yds and a 5 min ride from the slopes. Also new for this year Im looking forward to the trail that will be ending right at the village. This facility is really a must if you enjoy any of the numerous activities that Mammoth Mountain and the surrounding basin has to offer.

We enjoyed our first visit so much we just had to stay at the same lodge and room a second time. We are currently planning a third trip to The Village and will be disappointed if the exact accommodations are not available.
