We visited Denver for a bachelor party and were very pleased with the location of this Oasis. The house is located very close to some great restaurants and bars. In particular in LOHI, there is a rooftop restaurant called Linger we were able to enjoy, which is a short 5 minute walk or so. Then LODO is a 15-20 minute walk to the are with many bars and restaurants. We were very happy with the location and the place was suitable for 12 people. Plenty of room on the patio for us to hang out, the fireplace and heat lamp were great at night when it got a bit chilly. Also includes a great grill which we put to use and it is good size and can handle a good amount of food. Plenty of utensils and kitchenware for eating in. The view from the upstairs balcony is great and the house has plenty of windows great for light. The experience all in all was great! We enjoyed this place and would consider returning if traveling to Denver again with a party of people. All was as said and you will not be disappointed in this place. Really does feel like home, away from home. I could see this being a great place for a couples getaway, as well as a family getaway. Definitely capable of serving different purposes and groups. Great cost for the location and number accommodated! Book it!
Owner response:Thank you Brent! We are really happy to hear the house and yard met the unique needs of your large party and that you guys loved the location. You have great taste in restaurants! Linger was named one of the Top 25 restaurants in Denver, as were several restaurants in LoHi (Lower Highland) that are within walking distance, like Colt & Gray and Duo. Some of our other favorites are Lola, Vita, LoHi Steakhouse, RootDown, and the wonderful Coral Room. If those aren't enough, cross the pedestrian bridge to LoDo (Lower Downtown) with amazing food, drinks, and entertainment. Or for more private adventures, whip up a romantic dinner under the stars, relax in the hot tub, and gaze at the fireplace. Hope to see you again. ----Ginger and Chuck

Amazing location, amazing house, amazing owners! We rented this property for a girls weekend to celebrate a birthday! This house is in the perfect location, it has everything and more that a person could want. LoHi neighborhood has wonderful restaurants and a great atmosphere, the Highlands pedestrian bridge gets you to LoDo in about 10 minutes. We will be staying here again and again! Much better than a hotel. We didn't want to leave the property, so warm and inviting! I have stayed at other VRBO properties and this is by far my favorite! Thank you Chuck and Ginger for a great place to stay!! I will be recommending you to everyone I know traveling to Denver!
Owner response:Laura, we are so happy that you girls had such a great time last weekend! We continue to be amazed at the explosion of cool restaurants and bars in LoHi (Lower Highland). Looks like they are continuing to build hip residential units and great places to eat and drink. We have found that the actual neighborhood the home is in is still pretty quiet, though. It is truly the best of both worlds. Please come back and visit us again. (We've still got a few openings in the Summer!) -----Ginger and Chuck

My company Bluespark Labs, traveled to Denver for a conference in March. Rather than renting multiple downtown hotel rooms, we chose to rent this house, primarily due to its proximity to downtown and its amenities. When we checked in, we were happy to note that the amenities mentioned here in the VRBO listing were exactly what we found. The house is "as advertised" and more. Additionally the hosts are consummate professionals and helped us settle in quickly and then let us enjoy the place. Two evenings that week the team and I were able to cook meals and enjoy them together, the others we chose to walk to some really great restaurants very nearby. It was a great place for us, as a team, to enjoy time together and to learn together at our conference. This place is highly, highly recommended.
Owner response:Hi Michael. We love hearing stories like yours! Happy satisfied customers are what we strive for. And YES, a house is so much better than several hotel rooms, with extras like a full kitchen, great backyard, living room, office space, bar/media room, and 2 car garage. We bought the house in 2004 and have seen amazing changes to the LoHi (Lower Highlands) neighborhood. Many wonderful restaurants have opened within walking distance of the house, and three have been named in the Top 25 of Denver: Linger, Duo, and Colt & Gray. The house is also very convenient to the various business and conference centers around Denver. We hope to see you again! ---Ginger and Chuck

I stayed there for four nights to go to a Broncos game and go skiing with a group of friends. We were all amazed with the house. Everything about the house was five star including the owners. The transactions and communication with the owner could NOT have been better. As for the house, one word, AMAZING! I would love to call a house like that, my own. The location was great, the sidewalk lead right to Mile High Stadium. We thought we would drive to 16th street mall, it turned out we could have walked there! The interior of the house was above and beyond any rental I have ever seen. From the furniture to the linens, it was all top notch. The backyard was awesome. It might have been December, but we spent every night out back. The fire place, hot tub, water fall, and heater lead to amazing nights. I can honestly say I would recommend this house to anybody wanting to come to Denver and stay in a beautiful home!!
Owner response:WOW!!! Matt, we are speechless (which is pretty unusual!). Chuck and I can't be happier that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay AND the Broncos won. :) Someone even asked if we've seen any bumper stickers saying "Tim Tebow for President". Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We try hard to make everything nice for our guests, and truly appreciate it when it is noticed. We have to humbly agree that it is a pretty nice place! We'd love to have you guys back for another home game. Thanks again. Ginger and Chuck

We stayed at this home for 5 days and all the pictures do not do it justice, it is absolutely beautiful. Owners - The owners are very responsive, available and professional. The transaction of renting the home and whole process in general (getting there, stay, departure) had no bumps and the owners were very helpful. House - There is a 2 car garage then entry to the back yard which is an oasis with hot tub, patio tables/chairs, grill/fridge, fire pit. The kitchen is fully equipped from high end appliances to every kitchen item one would need to be functional. In the kitchen is also a desk area. The living/dining area is spacious with stereo and plenty of seating. There are 2 master bedrooms upstairs, and the basement has another super nice living area & bar and bedroom with bunk beds, laundry, etc. The house decor is amazing, stocked with toiletries, towels, etc. Location - The location is so close to the freeway and easy access to many hot areas in Denver. In summary, great experience, beautiful house, just pack your clothes and show up and be ready to enjoy a cozy yet fully equipped home. I would absolutely stay here again!
Owner response:Hi Doris! Thank you so much for the kind words and enthusiastic review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay in Denver. We have to humbly agree that the location is pretty terrific. :) We work hard to make sure the home (especially the kitchen and bathrooms) is well stocked with everything our guests need. We also take pride in responding quickly and professionally to inquiries and questions. It is very gratifying to hear you loved it! We hope you come back sometime to experience Denver in another beautiful season. ---Ginger and Chuck

We stayed at this beautiful property while in town for a week for a family wedding. It is every bit as lovely as it looks in the photos, but the location really made the whole trip incredible! Here are some of the great adventures that we enjoyed: --Walked to Coors Field for a Rockies game --Ran on the Cherry Creek and Platt River paths almost every morning --Picked up cruiser bikes for rent (only $6 !) and cruised Cherry Creek --Explored the Children's Museum and Downtown Aquarium (5 minute drive!) --Walked to LoDo (Lower Downtown) and caught the free 16th Street Mall bus --Easy driving from central location to wedding events around town If you are a fit and active family, don't pass up this wonderful spot! The owners were very professional (you'll see this from the very first email) and the house and gorgeous yard are perfectly maintained.
Owner response:Thank you so much for the kind words Helen! The terrific location is why we originally bought our home and then later thought it would make a great VRBO. We are so glad you and your family had a great time during your stay in Denver! There is no better place than Denver in the summer for fabulous outdoor activities, or our beautiful backyard for relaxing in the hot tub or hosting a family/group BBQ. Please come back to visit Denver in the winter. Our mountains are spectacular! --Ginger and Chuck

Come back to see us in the summer. The backyard is really beautiful then with lots of flowers, a big waterfeature, hot tubing, and BBQing. Of course, hanging out in the hot tub while it snows is pretty cool too! (No pun intended!) Thanks for taking a few minutes to share your thougths. ----Ginger

This clean property really fit our needs well. Eight members of our family all flew in from various states to celebrate Thanksgiving together. The kitchen was great to cook such a large meal in; the owner even bought us several new dishes so we could cook with ease! We have great memories of sitting around the outside fireplace and heat lamp after our feast! The owners were very helpful and accomodating. We loved the location and could walk to so many places, our favorite being the LoDo area. It would be fun to return during a warmer season!

Ginger, My wife and I were part of the Chadwick group over the first week of October and as far as we are concerned this place is as good as it gets in Denver. Close to everything downtown, and has a great little backyard for relaxing and grilling. This place is in tip top condition too...very clean. Just a great place to come back to after each day of sightseeing and concerts. We are already talking about making this an annual trip, and this will be the place we stay everytime. It was definitely the anchor piece to an amazing vacation on the other side of the Rockies. Thanks again for everything! Jon & Rena
Owner response:Hi Jon and Rena! I'm so glad you guys had a great time on your Denver birthday get-a-way! Isn't Red Rocks Amphitheater just the best place to see a concert?! Many famous concert videos have been filmed there. (We have even been in one...LOL!) I understand you saw Denver at its best when the Race for the Cure went right down the street Saturday morning. Last year it was the biggest race in the country. And thanks for mentioning that the property was very clean. It is gratifying to hear our efforts to make it comfortable and spotless are noticed. I hope you guys can make this an annual retreat. Wyandot will be waiting! --Ginger

We rented this property for a couples retreat in Denver to fufill my dream of seeing a show at Red Rocks in celebration of mine and a friends birthday. We could not be more happy with our stay!! The place was just as we expected from the pictures and more! We were all so sad for our vacation to end, we absolutely love the Denver area and this property was ideal for experiencing all that Denver has to offer. It's literally across the freeway from the Pepsi Center, Elitch Gardens and Lower Downtown. We went to Elitch Gardens and had a great time, hit the 16th Street Mall, drove to Estes Park and had a ghost tour at the Stanley Hotel, ate at the Morrison Inn in Morrison, tailgated at Red Rocks and experienced an amazing concert at the most amazing venue I've ever been to. When we arrived everything was clean and properly maintained. The pantry and refrigerator were stocked with all kinds of essentials, with a quick trip to the grocery store we were set for the weekend with all the food we needed to eat in for breakfast and lunches! Saved us a ton of money having a place to cook and eat in. The backyard patio is perfect for grilling steaks for a night in, which we enjoyed! Ginger was the ultimate host. She was helpful and available by phone with advice and instructions when needed. I will highly recommend this property to my friends and family who may be traveling to Denver and I plan on staying here anytime I vacation in the Denver area in the future! Thanks for everything Ginger!! You're the best!!
Owner response:Erin!! You are so sweet! This is just what we love to hear as a VRBO property owner: our guests had a great and relaxing time, had exciting adventures in and around Denver (including the fabulous concert venue Red Rocks Amphitheater), loved the property, and can't wait to come back. We feel so lucky to have wonderful guests like you guys. By the way, Denver is also pretty amazing in the winter, with snow falling around the hot tub and world class skiing an hour or two away. Come check it out! Thanks again for the "kind" words. --Ginger

Eight of us recently met in Denver for a bachelor party weekend which included a Bronco Football game. We found the house perfectly met our needs. It was close to Downtown and only a mile from Invesco field. It had easy access from the interstate and since several nights were spent downtown, it was a short taxi ride when the celebrations for the evenings were over. The house was exactly as described and provided a place where we could all just lay around and enjoy each other's company. The owner was great to work with and left plenty of notes so that within a few hours we knew how to operate everything and knew where items where. The Safeway Store on Federal Bldv provided all the food we needed and was very clean and nice. I highly recommend this property for anyone spending time in Denver.
Owner response:Bob, I'm really glad you guys had such a good time. And thanks for leaving the house in such good shape....for a bachelor party! We agree that a short and inexpensive taxi ride (5 minutes and less than $10 with tip) to and from downtown at night is the way to go. You can also walk to Invesco Field or Coors Field, or take a short taxi ride there and back. It is good to know that even with a large group, the house has enough private spaces for people to "get away" plus great spaces for everyone to be together. Please come back to visit after the wedding. The backyard is great for couples, too. The hot tub and fireplace are awesome with falling snow! ---Ginger

My family and I rented this amazing house for the week while we were in Denver for our son's wedding. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We had our grandchildren, a 6 year old and a 3 year old, with us and the downstairs was a perfect place for them to unwind and have their own space. We were able to relax and not worry about being in a hotel. The back yard was a fantastic oasis for everyone. The owners had it timed so that 2 water lilies bloomed while we were there! The kitchen provided everything we needed. Shopping is close by. We hope to use this very convenient location the next time we are in town. Thanks for making the week so much more enjoyable than it already was!
Owner response:Thank you, Mary, for your kind words. We love hosting families and groups attending weddings! The house sems to work out great, especially for large parties, and parties with kids. I know how hectic that time can be, so I'm glad you were able to relax a little bit. Please come back to visit when you have more time and can take in all that Denver has to offer, including our beautiful mountains. There's nothing quite like being in a hot tub with the snow falling all around and a roaring fire in the fireplace. --Ginger

We rented this property for our son's wedding week. This was the perfect location/house for our families to come together and relax between the wedding events. We would start with coffee on the deck, breakfast in the gourmet kitchen and end with grilling dinner on the back patio and a few minutes in the hot tub. The house was setup perfectly (very clean) with everything we needed. We could walk downtown or for ice cream at the Cream Can. We were in the center of the action and everything was within 15 minutes. We highly recommend this property for anyone wanting a great Denver vacation.
Owner response:Thanks Tim and Gloria! I'm so happy your son's wedding week went well. And thank you for sending a picture of your family! It was great to put faces to names. We have had quite a few wedding parties stay there, and I am grateful to know our efforts to set up the house with everything you need to host dinners or parties have worked out. I really appreciate that you took such great care of the house and left it so clean! I hope that you can come back to Denver sometime soon and get a chance to really relax at the house and enjoy Denver fully. ---Ginger

We LOVED our stay at this home in Denver! It was truly a home away from home. Everything you could need is provided in this lovely home. My husband and I, our 2 children (ages 18 months and 3 years), my mom, and my sister all had plenty of room. Plus, the backyard is amazing! You can't find a better place to stay in Denver! Great value, great service, and a beautiful home all in one package.
Owner response:Thanks Allison! And a huge thank you for providing the amazing Scentsy products that make the house smell so wonderful all the time! Eveyone loves them. I'm so glad your convention and dinner party were huge successes. Please come back to see us next year. (And PLEASE bring more Black Raspberry Vanilla! :) ) ---Ginger

Our week in the home was so enjoyable! Everything you need for complete relaxation & fun! From evenings grilling, to just hopping over to LoDo for a bite, to morning coffee on the balcony watching the city of Denver wake up. Close to everything and the hot tub felt wonderful after a Grays Peak summit day! The owners are wonderful, insuring everything is perfect - we've stayed all over the world with VRBO and this was at the top of the best list!
Owner response:Thank you so much! We are really happy that you enjoyed your stay at the house and in Denver. We, too, feel the house is in a wonderful and central location, and love to sneak away to it occasionally when it is not rented. We have had terrific and fun guests in the home this summer, and appreciate you taking such great care of the house. We came to Denver with a group of ten people to see and experience all that Denver has to offer. This house was the PERFECT place for us to stay. Slept all ten of us more than comfortably, within walking distance to downtown and other great places. In a great neighborhood, easy to find off of the highway. Plenty of showers for all of us girls to get ready. We loved cooking in the kitchen and grilling out every night and relaxing in the beautiful backyard with hot tub and fireplace. We were so thankful that it came fully stocked with everything you need and everything you might have forgot! I would recommend this ten times over to anyone and we plan on coming back next year too! The best vacation house ever!!!
Owner response:WOW! Thank you so much for your kind words. We love hosting Girl's Weekends at the house! Our daughter & now son-in-law live in Parker, but all wedding activities were in downtown Denver. For this reason we choose this house and it exceeded all our of expectations. The backyard of this tranquil home was the perfect setting for a family rehearsal gathering. Traveling from Florida to Denver limited me bringing alot of my serving pieces for entertaining, luckily alot was to be had right in the kitchen. My favorite stores Whole Foods & World Market were nearby for shopping (straight down Speer St.), there are also many cafes and shops with walking distance. The setup of home was perfect for my husband and I along with our other daughter and her family from Boston (8yr old and 4 month old) and our son and his girlfriend from San Diego. The Hampton Inn just across the street also accommodated my mother and sister and close enough to the hotels downtown that accommodated the rest of my siblings and families. Basically we always met at the house for its ease and convenience of location to the wedding venue Mile High Station by the Broncos Stadium. We would highly recommend this home as it was truly accurate with its description and amenities! The waterfall in the backyard provided a peaceful & tranquil setting to unwind at the end of each day.
Owner response:I'm so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay at our home during your daughter's special "wedding" week. I know that time can be especially hectic for the parents of the bride, so I'm really happy you were able to relax in the backyard a bit. Also, thank you so much for taking such great care of the house! I hope you will come back sometime when you have a little more time to relax and enjoy our beautiful and fun city.

Beautiful property with amazing panorama of the downtown Denver area. The downstairs area is perfect if you have kids (bunk beds). The adjoining room downstairs has a very stylish rec area with wet bar and big screen TV. The kitchen area and living room are very well furnished with modern decor and a very nice gas fireplace. All the bedrooms were very well furnished including wide screen TVs. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was also very well put together with a gas range and oven and nice granite counter tops. Fully stocked pantry with all the basics. The hot tub was perfect and the outdoor grill and waterfall made for a very nice dinner/grilling area. The owners were very accommodating.Short walk to REI, and 16th Street Mall. Convenient access to I25. All in all the perfect location for a downtown Denver retreat with easy access to the mountains.

just wanted to say thank you. we stayed at the property the weekend of march 5-7, 2010 and had a fabulous time. the house was outstanding and the patio area was incredible. the hot tub was just what the doctor ordered for our old bones and sore muscles after a couple days on the hill. we had people from, kansas city, st. louis, orlando, and tennesee who completely enjoyed their stay. i recomend this property to anyone. it is way cheaper than renting individual hotel rooms for a big group. the location was great and the owners were easy to work with. go check it out and see for yourselves. thanks again.

I just got back from a trip to Denver and had a great time at this property on Wyandot St. The back yard was small but extremely well done. Between the outdoor fireplace, propane space heater, and hot tub it definitely becomes a four season area. We were there in February and I spent half my time there. A party of 8 was no problem at all and I could easily see how 12 could fit. Also a lot of household staples provided. (condiments, soap, ect.) We saved a ton on money by renting this house splitting the bill and eating in. Highly recommend this place. Oh yea and Ginger (the owner) was very helpful when help was needed. Thanks Ginger!

I stayed at Ginger's place for 3 nights over New Years Eve and it was the perfect getaway for my group! The house is adorable and a really great use of space. The beds in the upstairs rooms are SO COMFORTABLE, and there is plenty of closet space for all of your belongings. The kitchen is charming and easy to navigate, and with a dishwasher and washer/dryer the whole space felt like home. We also appreciated the wireless internet, fireplace, huge televisions, and graciousness of our host. All of the little touches really made us feel welcome. The backyard is the cherry on top: it features a fireplace, hot tub, waterfall, and huge grill. We were so impressed. The location is incredibly ideal, an easy walk across the pedestrian bridge will lead you right into the 16th street mall. A grocery store and gas station are incredibly close, all within a mile of this charming neighborhood. I highly recommend this property!
Owner response:Thanks Katie! We enjoyed having you guys. Please come back in the summer when the back yard (and Denver) is at its best!
