St. James is a quiet area located on a designated Florida Scenic Highway and ideally located for shopping, great seafood restaurants and water fun about an hour south of the City of Tallahassee. The town of Carrabelle is 10 minutes away with a grocery and hardware store. The St. James Bay Golf Resort (public welcome) and Crooked River Grill are within one mile. World famous St. George Island beaches are 30 minutes away and the city of Apalachicola with it's unique shops is 30 minutes away. There's a grocery store and Wal-Mart 30 minutes north in Crawfordville. The Lanark Village boat ramp is less than 5 minutes down the road and the Ochlockonee River State Park 10 minutes. Some of the best Tarpon fishing in Florida, only one nautical mile from the house. Watch the dolphin and many birds, including a pair of osprey who live in the nearby trees. Kayak/canoe/fish right out the back door.
The house is on pilings with concrete parking underneath for cars/23 foot boat/small camper. Nicely landscaped large lot. There's a small office. The master (king bed) has sliding glass doors which open to a screened porch and Gulf view. The bathroom features double vanity. Another bedroom (king bed) also has sliding glass doors which open on to the unscreened area of the porch and Gulf view. The second full bath has a whirlpool tub. The second and third bedrooms have bay windows which offer a view of the Gulf and Dog Island. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms, the kitchen and living areas. The laundry room has a washer/dryer and utility sink. The kitchen, dining and living room are a large open area with double glass sliding doors onto the porch with a Gulf view and a gas fireplace. Downstairs screened area with fish cleaning counter and sink. The outdoor shower is privacy enclosed.
