Our premier (highest)-rated, newly renovated, one-bedroom villa is just 200 yards from the pristine beach. In it's top floor, corner location, you'll enjoy a quiet stay. With vaulted ceilings in the main living area and lots of windows, there is wonderful natural light. Our screened porch overlooks a beautiful lagoon with lots of amazing wildlife to observe.
One of the best things about our villa is its LOCATION and RESORT AMENITIES. You have a three minute walk to the beach, Night Heron Park and pool, and a 1/2 mi walk to the Sanctuary. Resort Amenities include: Complimentary shuttle transportation on the island; trash and towel service; discounted golf and tennis with preferred tee/court times; discounted nature programs; discounted bike and beach umbrella rentals; advanced and preferred availability reservations at all resort restaurants, including the Ocean Room and Jasmine Porch at the Sanctuary; advanced spa reservations; Access to Concierge Staff to assist in reservations and vacation planning; and Resort charging privileges providing a cashless experience.
Our villa was renovated in 2006. Our goal was to make this beach place a relaxing, comfortable place to stay. The flooring is tile throughout, so it's beach-friendly. Our fully-equipped kitchen has all new cabinets, appliances and granite countertops. The table and chairs offer plenty of space for you to eat and even entertain a few friends. The screened porch has old-fashioned wooden rockers, perfect for gator-watching on the lagoon!
Our main living area has comfy seating facing a new flat screen TV with a DVD player. The TV cabinet also has games and books inside for any rainy days or beach reading--great if you have forgotten your own book! The master bedroom boasts a king sized bed with a down comforter and lots of pillows. There is plenty of space to store your things. The bathroom has a granite-topped vanity cabinet and newly tiled tub/shower with glass doors.

Why the Owner Chose Mariner's Watch
We chose to buy a villa in Mariners Watch because of the LOCATION--in the bldg and on the island in general.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Our top floor, corner villa has lots of windows and a screened porch overlooking a lagoon. We love to have our morning coffee while watching for alligators and herons! The beach access is 200 yards away--an EASY walk with kids. The Night Heron Park and Pool is also an easy walk (even for our 3 year old). We love to visit the pool Bar and Grill for lunch and a beer or frozen margarita after a morning on the beach! We also love to go for ice cream just a 5 minute drive away at the straw market.
Recreation area. Pool is great for swimming when the kids are tired of the sand. Food is excellent for lunch. Great frozen margaritas!
Five star resort. Great for a "date night". Have a nice dinner out at any of their restaurants.
Shopping, "Shrimper's" Restaurant is casual, family dining--less expensive than dining at the Sanctuary. "Scooper's" Ice Cream shop is a favorite for kids!
This shopping center has a really nice grocery store. They also have restaurants (including Italian, Bar/Grill, coffee shop, etc) and Vincent's--a pharmacy /restaurant/ice cream store.
Site of 1991 Ryder Cup. Rated the 4th hardest course in the US by Golf Digest. Will host the 2012 PGA Championship.
Closest to our villa. Easy to get there. Another pristine golf course.

This is a picture of us at the on Kiawah (not in our villa). My husband has been vacationing on Kiawah Island with his family since the 1970's. I visited Kiawah for the first time in 2001, and I just fell in love with the place. We spent our honeymoon and first two wedding anniversaries at the old Inn. Then, we bought our villa in 2005. We truly plan for this island to be our family's vacation spot for MANY years to come. Kiawah's protected dunes and pristine beaches are gorgeous. The amazing wildlife and beautiful landscape are nothing short of paradise.
