The Magnolia is cozy retreat in an eclectic setting. This two bedroom, one bath houseboat is perfect for one or two couples looking for a unique place to explore the Bay Area. Or just stay in!
Have cocktails on the deck over looking Mt. Tam and the bay. Or, if it's cool, snuggle in front of the cozy wood burning stove and listen to our vast collection of vinyl. Have your breakfast watching the white egret or blue heron fishing for theirs.
Living on the water offers a perspective that you won't get on land. The walls reflect the light coming off the water, the sounds of seagulls and the gentle sea breezes connect you to your surroundings. It is a haven like no other.
There have been 2 proposals, 2 honeymoons and 1 wedding on The Magnolia!
The Magnolia also starred in the movie "Wildflower" with Darryl Hannah, Eric Roberts and Clea Duvall several years ago!

Extraordinary Getaway on the Water
Year Purchased: 2005
Why the Owner Chose Sausalito
We love our houseboat in Sausalito! It is close to everything that San Francisco, Sausalito and the Wine Country have to offer. And yet, it can feel a world away in peace and relaxation.
The Unique Benefits at this House Boat
We can walk to our favorite restaurant, Fish, on the water or into Sausalito for a little nightlife. Sometimes we take the ferry from Sausalito into San Francisco and explore the city sights and restaurants. And sometimes we never leave the houseboat!
Owner's Map of Sausalito
We love the ocean, music and the mountains. We get all three right here in Marin County!

My husband and I and our golden retriever stayed aboard Magnolia for an enchanted and magical week. We found the listing description to be spot on and were delighted to find the place to have even more charm than the description and pictures. The houseboat was clean and perfectly appointed - just enough decor to feel homey without clutter, and very tasteful and appealing colors and materials. The owner was very helpful with all our questions and even did her best to help us extend our stay when we wanted to stay longer! The information on board regarding restaurants, houseboat info and stuff to do was very helpful, and we would highly recommend the restaurants the owner suggested (we tried them all!). Overall, we were completely enchanted and rejuvenated by our stay and are trying to figure out when we can return!! Would definitely recommend to family and friends, and anyone who wants a fantastic houseboat experience. Thank you!!!
