"The Magnolia" is cozy retreat in an eclectic setting. This two bedroom, one bath houseboat is perfect for one or two couples looking for a unique place to explore the Bay Area. Or just stay in!
Have cocktails on the deck over looking Mt. Tam and the bay. Or, if it's cool, snuggle in front of the cozy wood burning stove and listen to our vast collection of vinyl. Have your breakfast watching the white egret or blue heron fishing for theirs.
Living on the water offers a perspective that you won't get on land. The walls reflect the light coming off the water, the sounds of seagulls and the gentle sea breezes connect you to your surroundings. It is a haven like no other.
"The Magnolia" also starred in the movie "Wildflower" with Darryl Hannah, Eric Roberts and Clea Duvall several years ago!

- Not Suitable for Children: There are a few spots on the deck that would be easy for a child to sneak through so we don't recommend small children here. Sorry!

We love our houseboat in Sausalito! It is close to everything that San Francisco, Sausalito and the Wine Country have to offer. And yet, it can feel a world away in peace and relaxation.
The Unique Benefits at this Houseboat
We can walk to our favorite restaurant, Fish, on the water or into Sausalito for a little nightlife. Sometimes we take the ferry from Sausalito into San Francisco and explore the city sights and restaurants. And sometimes we never leave the houseboat!
