Wonderful place to stay with family

We loved our stay at the Chigos Home in Tahoe. We were surprised to find the home even better than it appeared on the web site. The pictures do not do this home justice. The kitchen is much larger than it looks - well stocked with everything you need, and a wonderful professional cookstove. We spent much of our time in the game room. Pool table and full air hockey table were the highlight of our weekend! Close walk to the lake and hiking trails. We loved the fact that this place felt like home to us and we are so grateful that this family is willing to share their beautiful home. The home was equipped with baby gate for the stairs, a high chair and porta crib.- Also the additional full living room downstairs was a wonderful bonus room with a fold out King size bed which was reported by a family member as the most comfortable fold out bed she had slept on. We loved it here and will stay here again! Last thing this home can accomodate a large group or multiple families - very roomy and all the comforts of home

Chigos Tahoe Home was perfect for our holiday getaway

Having been to Tahoe many times both during summer and winter visits, I was so pleasantly surprised at how amazingly nice this home was! We were travelling with another family and all had kids ranging from 10-16 - needless to say that there was plenty of space for all of us to enjoy! The bunk room slept the 5 kids with room to spare, they had their own living room adjacent and their own bathroom, as well as the game room which kids and adults enjoyed together! Upstairs, we relaxed by the fire in the living room, and really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen together! The 3 bedrooms upstairs were all nicely appointed with very comfortable beds. A short walk to the lake offered beach visits for the family pet, and the close proximity to Tahoe City is a definite plus! I would definitely stay at this home again! Thank you, Chigos Family, for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home which you have clearly taken such great care of!!!

Totally comfortable and ideal for family reunions

We just spent five days at Christmas with our entire family (8 adults, 4 kids) and had a great time. It's decorated for comfort...first of all, the chairs! In the living room, there are 3 comfy, rocking leather chairs; and downstairs, there are about 5 more. The adults sank into those in front of a fire, while the kids had a blast in the game room. The bathrooms are lovely (virtual high-five to the decorator). Even though the king-size bed in the den is a pull-out, it's just as comfortable as the regular beds (but bring your own king sheets...we had to improvise). Lastly, perfect location. Family loved it!

Great location and Cabin

This place was perfect for our two families with 6 teenagers and 4 adults. Plenty of space, beds, and bathrooms. Large dinning table so we could all sit and eat together. Location is literally a 2 minute walk max on level ground straight to the lake and a private pier. Very clean and well decorated with everything you need. Great deck out front to start the day off while waiting for the crew to get ready or to relax in the evening. Also a larger deck out back with the gas grill. The pool table and air hocky got alot of use late into the evening by all with the ipods hooked up to the stereo. Only problem was the stay was too short.

Great Cabin, Great Location

We had a great long 4 day weekend at this cabin. The kitchen and bathrooms are updated and very nice. We barbequed each night out on the back deck making it easy to prepare food for everyone. The 3 upstairs bedrooms are good size and the lower bedroom slept 5 of our small children in bunk beds that they really enjoyed. Having all the cousins sleeping in the same room was special and hopefully a great memory for them. We also had a great time in the game room playing pool for the adults and air hockey for the kids. The lake is 1 block away and has a nice beach for the kids to get in the water. We found this cabin and location worked very well for us. I definitely reccomend it!

We had a great time at this home in Tahoe. The home is a 30 second walk from the beach, has a great deck for barbequing and was large enough to sleep my entire extended family (8 adults and 7 children). I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a great vacation in Tahoe!

awesome game room

game room was loads of after skii fun. the house was very comfortable and came with everything you would have at your house, all the kitchen gadgets and extra towels you would need. would definetly stay here again, great for large groups and children.

Beautiful house whit all you need. Near of couple of ski montain. We come from Canada and we are 7 guys in a trip of 1 week of ski. Try it and i'm sure that you don't regret!

We had two families stay at this house, including small kids, for a winter weekend. Never felt cramped. The house is much larger than can be appreciated on the pictures, easily affording the kids their own play space without tripping under the feet of the adults. It has been recently renovated - bathrooms especially are quite nice. The kitchen is well-stocked with appliances and cooking implements. The dining room table is large, easily fitting two families. Outside, there is plenty of space around the house for kids to play in the snow. Perhaps most importantly, the people in charge of the house are wonderful - very kind and accommodating, with a genuine interest that their clients have an enjoyable stay. As an example of their kindness, consider how they responded to hearing that our young daughter had left behind her most precious sleep doll: We became aware of this only after arriving home (4 hr drive), having just missed a large winter storm. I sent an email to the owners explaining the situation but, frankly, I was not expecting that much could be done. As soon as they got the email, the owners sent their cleaning crew back out to the house (in the middle of a winter storm, no less) with the express purpose of finding the toy. They found it and mailed it to us right away. Even without this experience, I would rate my stay there as 5-stars because the house is that nice. But the intangible service experience really differentiates this place from other rentals.

perfect place to stay

We stayed in the house for a ski weenend. The house is very warm and inviting truly a pleasure to spend time in. There is a huge game room downstairs that will please both the adults and the kids. If you are traveling with children - the kids room with 3 sets of bunk beds is perfect. It worked out great for us since we were 3 families with kids. The kitchen is niecely appointed and has everything you need to cook a meal and there is a nice large dining table so everyone can sit down and eat together. All showers and bathrooms have been recently remodeled and are very nice and clean. The location for the house is another great thing - it is a mile away from Homewood which is a perfect ski resort for families. All in all - a great place to stay and we will definitely be back! Great Homewood Rental!

My family and another family stayed at this house last weekend, and it's great. There were 4 adults and 4 young children, and there's more than enough room with 3 queen beds, 6 bunk beds, and a pull out couch. The kitchen is great, the game room is fun, and the kids had fun playing in the snow right in back. It's close to Homewood and Sunnyside, so the location is great too. We would definitely rent again, and the owners were a pleasure to deal with. It doesn't feel like a rental; it feels like you are in a home.

Beautiful home...

My family and I rented this home for a reunion in late March. The owners were easy to deal with and made our stay very comfortable. The beds were cozy and the kitchen is larger than the pictures convey. The only thing missing was a stereo to play music in the game room! We all concurred that we would stay for a whole week the next time we come back, because 3 nights wasn't enough!
