WELCOME!
We invite you to experience Wagging Woods, situated on 3 beautiful acres of flat grounds combined with Redwood forested hillside. The property is secluded, quiet and serene, with over one acre securely fenced for dogs and children. Recently remodeled, Wagging Woods provides an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen combination with 2 bedrooms plus a sunroom; there are redwoods views from every window. You’ll also enjoy large decks for relaxing and taking in the redwoods that surround you.
OUTSIDE LIVING
Wagging woods provides many options for outside living. Over 1 acre of the property is fenced, so you can really enjoy the outdoors during your stay. Some of the outdoor features are:
• Relax in the hot tub nestled in the center of a circle of redwood trees, called a faire ring, where you can look up and gaze at the redwood tree tops.
• Dog Agility equipment is provided in the summer. We put it out in March/April and bring it in during September or October depending on the weather. If renting during those months please be sure to ask about availability and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
• Enjoy the large decks and BBQ. Wagging woods has a large side deck with wicker rockers and a love seat. The back deck has a teak dining set, BBQ and two loungers. The decks provide a great place to relax. The WI-FI also works on the decks so you can catch up on emails while sipping morning coffee on the deck.
• Explore the property and find other outside areas to play and relax. Along with wide level play areas and a few woodland trails, the property offers a number of outside seating areas. Have lunch at the old fashion redwood picnic table in the 'upper meadow' or an afternoon glass of wine at the slate 4 person table in the side yard, or you may opt to take a nap in the hammock (summer only) under the redwoods or just sit in the glider surrounded by redwoods and listen to the birds and enjoy the quiet.
BEDROOMS
Both the master and guest bedroom feature queen beds and offer redwood views. Each room contains a dresser, side tables and lamps. High quality linens are provided.(Note: we only use dye and perfume free laundry detergent and dryer sheets.)
SUNROOM
This room has two large skylights and French doors leading out to the back deck with great views of the redwood forest beyond. There is also a 27” TV and DVD player, as well as a desk with a combination printer and fax machine. We have a large variety of games stored in this room. The laundry area is also housed in this room.
The Wagging Woods sunroom features a sofa that converts to a full size bed suitable for children. The sunroom has a pocket door so it can be closed off to the rest of the house.
BATHROOM
Wagging Woods offers a large bathroom with a combination Jacuzzi tub and shower. A hair dryer and towels are provided.
KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS
Wagging Woods provides a fully furnished kitchen complete with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen features a 25 cubic feet side by side GE refrigerator with filtered water and ice, an ultra quiet dishwasher and a Jen-Air gas range with convection cooking. Also provided are a microwave, coffee maker with timer, 4 slice toaster, blender and hand mixer.
LIVING ROOM HIGHLIGHTS
Relax in the living room with views of the surrounding redwoods or watch TV on the 32” LCD TV with surround sound. There is also an IPOD dock, so you can listen to your favorite music. You can watch movies from our extensive video library which offers something for kids and adults alike.
While the property has central heating, the living room also has a soapstone wood stove for those winter nights. The soapstone will stay warm long after the fire has gone down, keeping the home nice and cozy for hours.
HOT TUB - Our Marqui spa provides the ultimate culmination of comfort, style, therapy and power. The spa includes a contoured full-body lounge which provides a serious massage from shoulders to hips. The deep therapy seat provides stimulating action beginning at your neck and all the way down to your tired feet. Speaking of feet, there are even special foot jets. The spa also has a 'cool down' seat in which you're only partially immersed in the water. For ease of use, we have a hot tub cover lifter.

- Wine Tasting - we are close to Russian River wineries. You can spend a day or two traveling the Russian River wine road., Safari West in Santa Rosa is the Sonoma Serengeti. They offer Safari adventures; reservations are required.

Why the Owner Chose Cazadero
We love our Cazadero location; it's quiet and secluded but still centrally located. We’re only minutes to some of our favorite spots such as the river beaches in Monte Rio and Guerneville, Armstrong Woods State Park and the Sonoma coast. The Russian River area also has a lot of wineries open for tasting and little towns for exploring. Healdsburg is a great day trip as well as a spa day at Osmosis in Freestone. We love the diversity and the relaxed lifestyle the area has to offer. It provides us a good balance to our lives in the city.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Once you drive onto the property and close the gate behind you, you can let your children and/or dogs run free as you unpack the car. The property itself is fantastic with a lot of flat land for relaxing and/or games as well as redwoods to be enjoyed. In the summer season, we provide a dog agility course, which is a great activity to do with your dog. The house is cozy and comfortable and the location is central to all the Russian River area has to offer.
This family run bakery makes great pizza and sandwiches, along with all the other bakeries items. I love their brownies! It offers an outside seating, great for fido, and a play area for kids.
This is one of our favorite river beaches. It's dog friendly on the west side of the bridge. There are kayak and tubes rentals available as well as a snack bar.
Sophie's Cellars offers great wine and cheese selections. The owners are very knowledgeable and friendly. Be sure to ask about free corkage at local restuarants.
We love to walk in Armstrong woods. We occasionally see deer there. What a treat! There are lots of hiking trails for all levels. Dogs are welcome on the paved roads.
This is a great place to pamper yourself. They have a variety of treatments. I always come out of here like a noodle - and that's a good thing!
If you love bread, this is a must do stop. They always have a bread of the day, so it's fun to see what that will be.
Downtown Cazadero has a general store, post office and an auto parts/hardware store. The general store, built in 1900, offers movie rentals and a gift shop in addition to grocercies.
Great casual dining spot. You can bring your dog too if you sit on the patio. Food is excellant as is the service.
We're only about 10 - 15 minutes from a variety of beaches,some of which are dog friendly. Fantastic sunsets, picnic areas, walking on the beach, or just hanging out.
Experience an African Safari in nearby Santa Rosa. If you're looking for a unique day trip, this is one you'll remember. Reservations are required, so be sure to plan ahead.
Nearby Healdsburg makes a great day trip. You'll find great shops & restaurants. There is a nice town square to just sit and relax.

We started vacationing in the Russian River area years ago when looking for dog-friendly vacation rentals and fell in love with the area. It’s a great contrast to San Francisco, where we live. When we first saw the property we were sold; it's amazing. We completely remodeled the house after we purchased it and believe we've created a comfortable getaway. Our a 13 year old rescued German Shepherd loves patrolling the property and having so much room to roam.
