Maui Kai 807 is a small boutique oceanfront studio condo in West Maui on North Kaanapali Beach.
After a busy day of sightseeing, shopping, laying on the beach and swimming in the warm ocean waters, you will return to the comforts and conveniences of your Hawaiian home. You may wish to take a refreshing shower before enjoying a fresh pineapple mai-tai on the private lanai while watching a gorgeous sunset.
If you wish to continue enjoying the sunset afterglow from the lanai instead of going out to one of the many fine restaurants a short drive away, you can perhaps grill fresh mahi-mahi or ahi steaks on the gas barbecues in the swimming pool area or prepare your own meal using fresh local foods purchased from the large grocery store in the shopping center or at the local Farmers Market which are a short walk away. Our kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities for making a gourmet meal: refrigerator with filtered drinking water and ice maker, full-size stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, all of the kitchen utensils and appliances a foodie could desire and a vast array of local and Asian cuisine cookbooks.
You may never leave the lanai! The views of the brilliant blue ocean and the islands of Lanai and Molokai are spectacular. Nowhere in Hawaii but West Maui can you get such a view. During whale season you can use the binoculars in our condo to watch the humpback whales from your front row seats on the lanai, some as close as 100 yards offshore!
Our recently remodeled, 8th floor, oceanfront studio has been lovingly decorated to reflect the Hawaiian spirit. It includes all the amenities of a home away from home: daily maid service, central air conditioning, 32" flat-screen high-definition cable TV with HD DVR, DVD, VCR, CD player, iPod docking station, FREE high-speed cable Internet connection, queen bed, easy chairs, dining table and desk for your laptop computer, all with views of the ocean and the spectacular sunsets. Whether you are looking for a brief or lengthy stay on Maui, our unit will provide you with all the comforts you desire.
The private oceanfront balcony allows you to sit and dine outside with complete and total privacy from your neighbors while enjoying the unparalleled 180-degree view of the islands of Lanai and Molokai.
In our oceanfront studio you will fall asleep to the gentle sounds of the ocean waves. If quiet and privacy are as important to you as they are to us then you will revel in the peace and quiet that Maui Kai’s concrete block construction provides.
Maui Kai has a lovely heated pool, Jacuzzi and gas barbecues. The pool area has picnic tables and outdoor furniture for hosting meals with friends and family. Inside the pool cabana is a full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven and bathrooms. The cabana also has a lending library, ping pong table and dart board. It also has a FREE computer with a high-speed Internet connection for checking your email, surfing the web and printing your boarding passes.
Shortly before you leave for your stay in Maui Kai 807, I will email you my Local Girl's Guide to Maui. The guide started as a list I gave my friends of my favorite restaurants on Maui but over the years I've added information about my favorite local foods, where to buy them, farmers markets, beaches, snorkeling spots, hikes, excursions and of course shopping!
The guide offers my unique perspective as a local Hawaii girl who has grown up, lived in and experienced the islands her entire life. I normally charge $10 for the guide but if you book our unit I will give it to you for FREE! Even if you don't book our unit, please feel free to contact me about purchasing the guide. For more information, please visit my website.

Our oceanfront studio room had a great lanai. Exactly what was needed, full kitchen, blender, lounge chairs etc..all included. Peaceful and quiet. Not a million tourists running around the property. A more intimate place to stay than those loud resorts. We had a fabulous relaxing stay at the Maui Kai, and won't even bother looking anywhere else in the future. Perfectly placed location right down the road from the best snorkeling anywhere, and great cheap eats right down the street. The Maui Kai was a great value for the money, and everything nearby felt more local than touristy, which we like.

Who should stay here - couples who want a quiet, reasonably priced oceanfront condo in a good but less crowded location, with a good beach, but don't care about "resort" amenities or a fancy schmancy place. Positives - right on the water with a good beach at the north end of Kaanapali Beach. You can walk or quickly drive to the heart of Kaanapali if you want. This place is quieter and less crowded. Concrete block building is not gorgeous but makes for a quiet condo unit. There is a good beach about 20' to the left of the beach (starting in front of The Mahana). Fabulous views and the shaded lanai was great - 180 degree view of Molokai and Lanai. The price is good, especially for the location. Unit was very clean, and as advertised. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Grocery store and snorkel rentals, good restaurants and a fish market are all in walking distance. We saw frolicking whales and turtles and a few dolphins right from our lanai. They entertained us at breakfast and "happy hour". Also, rainbows galore! Potential Negatives - small pool in the back of the building. If you are into laying out by the pool this is not the place for you. This is not a resort - it is a condo residence. Room Tip: We like rooms a little higher up - you can see turtles and whales in the water better from the lanai.

The Maui Kai studio we got was great! Everything was very comfortable and clean. We loved having our own private balcony overlooking the beach and ocean. The kitchen area was also very useful. It's also located in a great location close to markets, shops, and other hot spots. We would definitely consider staying here again.

We love the Maui Kai. What a well kept and clean facility it is. The grounds are very beautiful and exceptionally maintained. We spent seven nights here and hated to leave. The views are incredible and if you like being on the water this is the best location around, there is no other complex closer to the water than the Maui Kai. All the rooms have private balconies and you will want to spend hours just taking in the view. We love the pool/spa/BBQ area as it's a great place to relax and meet other Maui Kai guests. There is all sorts of shopping within walking distance and you will want to do a lot of walking, it is just so beautiful and relaxing here. Can I recommend the Maui Kai? YES, whole heatedly. My wife and I can't wait to return to the Maui Kai.

My husband, son and I spent 10 days at the Maui Kai this past July 2011. I love the Maui Kai because it doesn't feel like a big, impersonal resort, more like friends and family. Every unit looks out on the ocean, so we're always guaranteed a great view. I also love that the owners usually leave some kind of handy thing for people to use, like beach umbrellas or beach chairs. I just can't recommend the Maui Kai enough.

We had a great stay at Maui Kai. Great location and great beach! The unit is oceanfront and looks out over Molokai, Lanai, and Oahu in the distance. Had we been there during whale season, I couldn't imagine a better spot for viewing. The grounds are exceptionally maintained. Everything you need is close by. Great market, coffee & more within walking distance. This is a small condo complex. If you want a small quiet complex it is wonderful. If you are looking for a resort atmosphere, this is not the place. The studio unit is well kept. We had a wonderful stay and plan future visits.

We chose the Maui Kai because it had many good reviews and the rates were great. The views were stunning. We saw whales and their calves every day but one out of the entire week. The sunsets each evening were awesome and breathtaking. This condo has a small outdoor pool, a hot tub, and a cabana with a full kitchen and pic nic tables. It also has two big barbeques which many people use each night to grill their food. The location is great. You can walk to a local supermarket in 5 minutes. It is a great value for your money and if we do return to Maui we will stay at this condo again. It was a very enjoyable experience.

The People at Maui Kai were so friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and well stocked for a home away from home stay. I so fell in love with the calmness and peacefulness of the Maui Kai. Staying so close to the ocean was a dream of a lifetime. I would choose this condo over the larger ones in a heartbeat! Room tip: all rooms are oceanfront

We stayed at the Maui Kai in June 2011 for our honeymoon, we could not have asked for a better location to stay. The views were fantastic, the staff was friendly and the location was amazing. We cannot thank Donna enough for all of the help she gave us in planning our trip and the tours that we booked. It was so nice to have someone to contact in Maui who was friendly and helpful, all of the info she gave us was great and we used her Local Girl's Guide to Maui often. We would definitely stay there again.

Maui Kai met and exceeded our expectations. The Maui Kai is literally right on the beach, at high tide the water reaches the back patio, so getting to the ocean is quick and easy. Our room was very comfortable and attractive. The lanai was our favorite spot, it seemed like we were perched just above the ocean waves and the views were spectacular. The staff were all friendly and efficient and the whole place was immaculate. We loved it and would love to go back. Room Tip: There are deals at certain times of the year.
