We spent our honeymoon in this unit and could not have been more pleased! My husband and I were looking for a more budget-friendly option than the big resorts without sacrificing on the view. Maui Kai delivered. Maui Kai may not have the amenities of some of the other larger resorts (gym, spa, room service, huge pool, etc.), but that also gives it a distinctive charm. It didn't have the hustle and bustle or crowds we observed at some of the resorts, but had a quiet, laid-back 'island' feel. What really sets Maui Kai apart is the view. You literally cannot get any closer to the water. I was completely at peace as we slept at night with the sliding doors open listening to the sound of the waves crash against the rocks- it was hard to sleep when I returned home to no ocean sounds! This unit was great as well. It is a modestly-decorated studio with a kitchen. The kitchen was well-stocked with any utensils we might have needed, and we enjoyed making breakfast there (or heating up left-overs!) each morning. I enjoyed perusing the unique library of novels, Hawaiian guidebooks, and cookbooks while I sat on the balcony. There are also puzzles and books at the poolhouse. The unit had some great upgrades in the free wireless internet, flat-screen TV (didn't watch any TV though- we had the view!), and an iPod stereo dock. The owner was very helpful in recommending local food, which we greatly enjoyed.

Spectacular location on the beach; convenient to attractions and shopping. We spent hours watching sea turtles and whales from our lanai, snorkeling on the beach, and relaxing at the pool. We're planning a longer stay next time. Room Tip: All rooms have balconies; we like the corner suites for even better views.

Our oceanfront studio room had a great lanai. Exactly what was needed, full kitchen, blender, lounge chairs etc..all included. Peaceful and quiet. Not a million tourists running around the property. A more intimate place to stay than those loud resorts. We had a fabulous relaxing stay at the Maui Kai, and won't even bother looking anywhere else in the future. Perfectly placed location right down the road from the best snorkeling anywhere, and great cheap eats right down the street. The Maui Kai was a great value for the money, and everything nearby felt more local than touristy, which we like.

We stayed at the Maui Kai for our honeymoon recently. Our room was definitely unique from the others because it had an extra private lanai at the side of the room. It was simply amazing to see and feel the ocean every morning when we woke up. I could pretty much go fishing from the lanai. The room was overall spacious, but the bathroom was a little small to our tastes. Everything was provided for in the room - cookware, mosquito repellant, candles, matches, binoculars, beach towels, boogie boards, you name it! The place was well maintained and very clean. If you are looking for a place to stay that has a whole bunch of contemporary amenities and luxuries inside, then don't stay here. You are better off staying at a resort and paying much more for it. But, if you are looking for a place to stay that feels free, authentic, cozy, and local to Maui, then this it! You can't get any closer to the ocean, and you wont feel more independent and like a true Hawaiian anywhere else.

Who should stay here - couples who want a quiet, reasonably priced oceanfront condo in a good but less crowded location, with a good beach, but don't care about "resort" amenities or a fancy schmancy place. Positives - right on the water with a good beach at the north end of Kaanapali Beach. You can walk or quickly drive to the heart of Kaanapali if you want. This place is quieter and less crowded. Concrete block building is not gorgeous but makes for a quiet condo unit. There is a good beach about 20' to the left of the beach (starting in front of The Mahana). Fabulous views and the shaded lanai was great - 180 degree view of Molokai and Lanai. The price is good, especially for the location. Unit was very clean, and as advertised. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Grocery store and snorkel rentals, good restaurants and a fish market are all in walking distance. We saw frolicking whales and turtles and a few dolphins right from our lanai. They entertained us at breakfast and "happy hour". Also, rainbows galore! Potential Negatives - small pool in the back of the building. If you are into laying out by the pool this is not the place for you. This is not a resort - it is a condo residence. Room Tip: We like rooms a little higher up - you can see turtles and whales in the water better from the lanai.

We love the Maui Kai. What a well kept and clean facility it is. The grounds are very beautiful and exceptionally maintained. We spent seven nights here and hated to leave. The views are incredible and if you like being on the water this is the best location around, there is no other complex closer to the water than the Maui Kai. All the rooms have private balconies and you will want to spend hours just taking in the view. We love the pool/spa/BBQ area as it's a great place to relax and meet other Maui Kai guests. There is all sorts of shopping within walking distance and you will want to do a lot of walking, it is just so beautiful and relaxing here. Can I recommend the Maui Kai? YES, whole heatedly. My wife and I can't wait to return to the Maui Kai.

Awesome hotel in a perfect location. Hotel is very quiet and clean. We had a recently renovated 1-bedroom corner unit with full-sized kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Very nice bedroom with comfortable bed. Living room was very large with big screen TV and high-definition channels. Nice bathroom with awesome shower The view from the unit is excellent, you are right on the beach. Will book this unit on our next stay back to Maui. Me and my wife have found our home away from home.

The Maui Kai studio we got was great! Everything was very comfortable and clean. We loved having our own private balcony overlooking the beach and ocean. The kitchen area was also very useful. It's also located in a great location close to markets, shops, and other hot spots. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Let me begin by saying that this is the first review ever that I am writing and it has been long overdue. I have had good vacations in the past but this one at Maui was by far the most relaxing one. The unit numbers at Maui Kai hardly make any difference since all of them are ocean facing. In fact the biggest difference b/w Maui Kai and it neighboring properties is that they have an ocean front where as Maui Kai is right on the ocean- I could literally spit in the ocean from my balcony/lanai (of course didn't do it, just using it to tell you how close to the water you are). The rooms are comfortable, the interiors of course change depending on the owners, but all of them have a fully equipped kitchen which is a big plus. There is big grocery store nearby- walking distance which is great for cooking family meals. All in all we had a wonderful experience so much so that we are planning another vacation again next month.

We had a great stay at Maui Kai. Great location and great beach! The unit is oceanfront and looks out over Molokai, Lanai, and Oahu in the distance. Had we been there during whale season, I couldn't imagine a better spot for viewing. The grounds are exceptionally maintained. Everything you need is close by. Great market, coffee & more within walking distance. This is a small condo complex. If you want a small quiet complex it is wonderful. If you are looking for a resort atmosphere, this is not the place. The studio unit is well kept. We had a wonderful stay and plan future visits.

My husband, son and I spent 10 days at the Maui Kai this past July 2011. I love the Maui Kai because it doesn't feel like a big, impersonal resort, more like friends and family. Every unit looks out on the ocean, so we're always guaranteed a great view. I also love that the owners usually leave some kind of handy thing for people to use, like beach umbrellas or beach chairs. I just can't recommend the Maui Kai enough.

We stayed at the Maui Kai in June 2011 for our honeymoon, we could not have asked for a better location to stay. The views were fantastic, the staff was friendly and the location was amazing. We cannot thank Donna enough for all of the help she gave us in planning our trip and the tours that we booked. It was so nice to have someone to contact in Maui who was friendly and helpful, all of the info she gave us was great and we used her Local Girl's Guide to Maui often. We would definitely stay there again.

The People at Maui Kai were so friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and well stocked for a home away from home stay. I so fell in love with the calmness and peacefulness of the Maui Kai. Staying so close to the ocean was a dream of a lifetime. I would choose this condo over the larger ones in a heartbeat! Room tip: all rooms are oceanfront

Maui Kai met and exceeded our expectations. The Maui Kai is literally right on the beach, at high tide the water reaches the back patio, so getting to the ocean is quick and easy. Our room was very comfortable and attractive. The lanai was our favorite spot, it seemed like we were perched just above the ocean waves and the views were spectacular. The staff were all friendly and efficient and the whole place was immaculate. We loved it and would love to go back. Room Tip: There are deals at certain times of the year.

My husband and I stayed at the Maui Kai for 8 nights in late April. After touring much of the island, I think this condo is in the best location! You are just a few minutes away from lots of popular restaurants in Lahaina but out of the craziness of south Kaanapali beach (Whaler's Village). The sand is literally a few steps away which makes it easy for morning strolls on the beach. The sunset from the lanai does not disappoint! We were able to watch the whales most mornings while enjoying breakfast on the lanai and saw a few turtles, too. Going north, there are some fabulous snorkeling beaches! Donna's unit was decorated nicely and had almost everything you would ever need (no beach chairs or other beach-type things -- there is a cooler and the Maui Kai provides you with a set of beach towels for your stay that you are responsible for washing if you want clean ones which was needed on our 9 day stay!). The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to eat breakfast and pack a lunch every day in the cooler and Tupperware provided. The bed is comfortable and the waves right outside will lull you to sleep. Although small, the bathroom is clean. There is daily maid service to provide new bathroom towels and 1/2 of the time they straightened up the bed which was an unexpected but nice treat! I would highly recommend the Maui Kai. Everyone from owners, fellow renters, and the staff are friendly and helpful when asking for suggestions. If you are looking for the 'young hip' crowd -- this is probably not the place for you... think retirees, instead ;) Their company was perfect since we were looking for quiet and relaxation!

We chose the Maui Kai because it had many good reviews and the rates were great. The views were stunning. We saw whales and their calves every day but one out of the entire week. The sunsets each evening were awesome and breathtaking. This condo has a small outdoor pool, a hot tub, and a cabana with a full kitchen and pic nic tables. It also has two big barbeques which many people use each night to grill their food. The location is great. You can walk to a local supermarket in 5 minutes. It is a great value for your money and if we do return to Maui we will stay at this condo again. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Just like most of the other reviewers I absolutely loved falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the ocean. It was amazing how close we were to the water! Such a treat. You couldn't ask for a more convenient and comfortable stay, it was so close to everything you needed. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed using the pool and cabana to play ping pong and the BBQ was a great way to sit and chat with the other owners / renters. It was such a fantastic home away from home. Big thank you to Donna for all her help with this fabulous condo! We will definitely be back again in the near future :)

We had the most wonderful time on vacation in your condo. I can tell you now, it won't be our only stay there. Falling asleep at night to the sound of the waves lapping the shore is absolutely heavenly. This is the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. We loved the grill area, it was cleaned and ready to enjoy every day. The office and cleaning staff are so helpful and friendly they truely made us feel like family. The spirit of Aloha is alive and well at Maui Kai! We felt like the wildlife put on a show just for us. We saw a LOT of whales and turtles and we even saw dolphins a couple of times. The sunsets are to die for! We can't thank you enough for your guidebook, it was our bible during our stay. So much helpful information we never could have gathered on our own. Whether you want to just kick back on your lanai, hang out at the pool and hot tub or snorkel and play in the ocean you can't go wrong with Maui Kai. Whatever your interested in doing or seeing, you'll find it here. We will always consider your condo our home away from home!

Our vacation was spectacular! However, one week is not long enough. The Maui Kai was great (but the ocean front spoiled us and I don't think we could stay in a condo that wasn't on the beach now). The Maui Kai itself was quiet and clean and the staff were excellent! The common kitchen area and barbecues were very handy. sleeping to the sound of waves crashing on the shore makes you forget the stresses you left at home

This is a large, comfortable studio with the most well-stocked kitchen I've ever seen and right on the ocean. We watched the whales and dolphins and turtles from the lanai and every night we listened to the waves as we fell asleep. The staff at the Maui Kai were great--friendly and eager to help with whatever we needed. Great location, within walking distance of a supermarket and several restaurants and stores. Nice sandy beach right next door, perfect for watching the beautiful sunsets (as was the lanai but we like to have our toes in the sand!). The pool area has a large hot tub and there are b-b-q's and a full kitchen ready and waiting to be used. The location was perfect-close to everything but still quiet. The wonderful boardwalk along the ocean was easy to reach, and we easily walked to Black Rock and beyond. Donna, you were terrific and offered many great tips about Maui. We have stayed many places in Maui but Maui Kai and your studio is definitely our favorite. Can't wait to visit again.

We have stayed at the Maui Kai three times. Many of the vacationers at the Maui Kai are returnees. Some that we have met have been coming for 20 years plus. All Condo's are Oceanfront views.

My wife and I stayed at Maui Kai for 10 days in January. This was our 2nd stay at Maui Kai, as we really love it there. We stayed at a lovely condo, fantastic view, great accomodations. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE I wanted to take it home with me, and a relative that was staying at another resort wanted to come sleep in ours. I highly recommend Donna Bender, the owner, and her other services that she offers. She gave us a free copy of her "Local Girl's Guide to Maui", a great guide that gives local insight into things that other guides miss. We liked trying to do as many things as we could with local businesses. Another plus with this guide is the ability to link to all of the sites that she recommends, just a click of the mouse and you could instantly check out whatever she was talking about, no need to search the internet to bring up the websites of whoever she was recommending. If you have a laptop or notebook with you, it is so convenient. If not, just put the guide on a flash drive and use any computer. Maui Kai has a free computer conveniently located at the pool/barbecue area, and Donna provides free internet connection in the room. We plan to return to Maui Kai as it is now our "Go To" holiday spot, and I highly recommend Donna for helping you plan your vacation.

This was a Xmas gift to myself - not having any stress over the holidays was amazing. The Maui Kai was exactly what we were looking for. Not being a huge resort made it so special, staff were like family, the accommodations were fully stocked, comfortable. Location was close to Lahaina. But the main feature was the view!! All suites are ocean front -literally on the ocean. So impressed with the service you're giving. You make us feel like we're the only ones you're dealing with which I know we're one of many!! Having been in the customer service industry forever (it feels like it). I know it's not always easy. Donna - wow - you are amazing! Maui Kai is a condo building right on the ocean...as in, about 20 feet from the waves. There were times we had to close the sliders on the lanai in order to hear TV over the sound of the surf! Not all the lanais are enclosed, we learned, but we liked the option to feel the breeze and hear the surf when we wanted to. The pool (not huge), spa (good size) and laundry were clean; poolside had plenty of lounges; parking was plentiful and safe; daily housekeeping was light but adequate (they empty trash and make the bed). The managers were friendly and informative. Because the building is cinderblock, it is quiet -- no problem with thin walls that allow you hear your neighbors. We had a rental car but met a couple who had decided to use the nearby public bus service and found it very convenient -- especially since parking in Lahaina can be challenging sometimes. There is a small strip mall with a supermarket and eateries walking distance from Maui Kai (though the supermarkets in Lahaina are cheaper). We also met couples who have been coming to Maui Kai for years even though they had tried other condos. We heard that whale watching is excellent from Maui Kai because of its proximity to the ocean, and you can literally walk out the back door onto the beach where you can take long walks either direction in Ka'anapali. We found the surf at Maui Kai too choppy for relaxed snorkeling and swimming but there are good beaches for these activities nearby. We will definitely book a unit at Maui Kai when we return to Maui.

The Maui Kai is located about a mile north of Kaanapali beach on the north side of black rock. The unit we stayed in was on the 8th floor. We booked directly with the owner (Donna Bender) through vrbo. The building was one of the first built in the area and is located right on the water. The view from the unit was ocean and islands. You had to look over the balcony to see the beach. It completely met our expectations and then some. The neighborhood of the hotel included a major grocery store within 5 minutes walk, lots of small stores and local restaurants, a small park and a farmer's market. There's a time share hotel next door with a couple nice, reasonable restaurants. The beach walking is 5 star and lacks the crowds at Kaanapali. You can find a place to sunbathe on the sand by yourself. There's a path that parallels the beach and an easy walk of about a mile and half to the resorts south of black rock. Outside space is limited - there's a concrete balcony on the ocean for sunbathing and the pool is on the parking lot behind the building. The staff is very friendly. The building seems to have lots of full time residents and is very homey. Donna provides daily maid service with every booking. She also has lots of guidance to offer and is really a hands on manager when you rent from her. Can't speak highly enough of the unit and the owner and the facility. We've been to all the islands more than once and Maui three previous times and this was one sweet 7 day trip.

I can't say enough about how fantastic the Maui Kai was. Donna Bender provided wonderful service. Although Donna's studio unit 807 wasn't large enough for our family (5 Adults), she was able to book us into a nice 2-bedroom corner unit in the building. Everything she told us she would do - was done. When she said we would receive an mail on a specific date - we received that email. I felt very confident working with her. I booked with Donna because of the previous recommendations for her on TripAdvisor and those recommendations were well deserved! Donna's free "Local Girl's Guide to Maui" that she provided to us for booking with her, was a great resource. We visited several of the restaurants and shops listed in the guide. Overall, I don't think I could have had a better trip and I can't wait to go back. !

I spent a lot of time researching the best place to stay in Maui. For the price, location, and service, I guarantee you wont find a better steal. You'll be spending the majority of your time at the beach or doing activities, so frankly, I'll never understand why you'd want to spend the thousands/night at any of the bulge bracket hotels.

As my review title states, I truly felt at home. Upon entering the condo, you are greeted with a jaw dropping view of nothing but water and the sounds of the ocean. The tasteful yet simple décor was welcoming. Everything you needed was provided and there in the condo. I honestly spent my first two days relaxing inside and I truly enjoyed it. I would’ve been satisfied just being there but since this was my first time on the island, I wanted to explore just a little and with Donna’s Free “Local Girl’s Guide to Maui”, I was given great ideas on where to go and what to do. You will not be mislead with the information in the guide, just make sure you are back in the condo for the AMAZING sunsets. Initially I wasn’t sure where I wanted to stay but Donna was very patient in helping me book a place. She even provided other options for me, BUT I was extremely happy with my choice. Not to sound cliché but it was everything and more and I will definitely book again through Donna.

We love the Maui Kai - we've been there many times and always go back. We've looked around at lots of places, but none have this kind of oceanfront (meaning practically hanging over the ocean!) location at this price. We love watching the sunset from our private lanai overlooking Molakai and Lanai, and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is truly special. We've never had a bad room, but 807 is our favorite -- it's newly remodeled, really clean, and we prefer to stay on the higher floors. The staff is really nice, and we like that there's a grocery store across the street and places to eat close by. Lastly, we really like the fact that there's a long walking beach right there, since a number of places we've been at have really small (or no) beaches. We love to take a long walk in the morning and swim at the end. Highly recommended!

Even though room 807 wasn't available, we stayed in room 207 which had same fabulous views and conveniences. The room appeared to be recently remodeled with new appliances and kitchen and bath fixtures We enjoyed the other guests ( many who return every year) and the helpful staff. Will definitely be going back

We had a great stay at the Maui Kai, #807 at the end of September. We were able to snorkle almost daily within 1/4 mile of the Maui Kai. Many nights we got fresh fish, grilling it at the pool barbeque, and ate watching the sunset between Molokai and Lanai on our balcony. It was a perfect retreat that we were able to stretch to 2 weeks because of the reasonable price. The unit was clean and fresh with a touch of "old Hawaii" decoration. The view was timeless. Another plus, the owner's recommendations for food, activities, groceries, beaches, "A Local Girl's Guide to Maui" available with the unit.

We have been visiting Maui for over 15 years and found a "home away from home" at the Maui Kai. The location is great because it is right on the water with every unit facing west, it is a perfect location for sunsets and whale watching. There is good swimming and snorkeling right out in front and a few world class surfing and snorkeling spots very close by. Restaurants and grocery shopping are within walking distance and Lahaina is a short drive away. More restaurants (both high end and affordable) are within a few miles. The Maui Kai itself is quiet and private with a generous and helpful staff. We have stayed in a number of studio units but our favorite is 807. We like being on the 8th floor for better views and the room itself is very comfortable with Hawaiian themed art and furniture. All the appliances are new and the kitchen recently remodeled. (The kitchen is great so we don't have to spend as much money eating out -- a big advantage over the hotels.) Everything is super clean and well taken care of. We spend most of the time when were not in the water sitting on the lanai looking out at Molokai and the island of Lanai. The other thing we like about the Maui Kai is that it is reasonably priced especially considering it is right on the water. For us that means we can have a longer Maui vacation.

The stay at Maui Kai was one of the best and memorable stays of our life. It's without any doubt a perfect romantic getway for anyone. The owner of 807 - Donna arranged me another unit due to unavailabilty of 807 at that time, and gave me great discounts. She offered me her Local girl's guide to Maui/ Oahu for free (otherwise priced at $10 each) that i must say is incredible and a true Hawaaiian guide from a local perspective. It had all the information about activities, local food delights, places that you just wouldnt find anywhere else. A must to have local guide for anybody to see Hawaii from a local's perspective. The Maui Kai room had everything i could ever imagine + had FREE daily maid service, great amenities such as DVR, internet, iPod docking station, etc and 2 minutes distant from grocery stores. The lanai in the unit was just so spectacular that we would want to rush back to our room by sunset time to enjoy the mesmerising sunset views, and sunset meals right in our lanai. No other restaurant could offer us a more beautiful oceanfront dining than our own lanai. We still miss the sound of the ocean, listening to which right in our room, we would fall asleep and wake up. No doubt, Maui Kai has become my favourite place and gets my top recommendation to anyone. You need to be there to gets its feel. Thanks very much Donna for arranging such a beautiful unit for us, and for answering to all of our queries before the start of our trip. You had made our visit feel so very special and comfortable from the very moment i booked the unit through you.It gives me great pleasure to write a review for you and recommend your service highly to everyone - We just cant wait to get back to Maui Kai !

The Maui Kai is a great place to stay. We booked our stay through Donna, owner of unit 807. Although her unit was not available for our stay, Donna was able to book us into another very nice unit at a better rate than offered by the Maui Kai. Everything about the experience was wonderful: accomodations, staff, views, location etc. Another great benefit of booking through Donna is that she provides her Local Girl's Guide to Maui. This proved to be a valuable resource for good restaurants, shopping, beaches, etc. We will definitely stay at the Maui Kai again when we return! Thank you for making our great vacation that much better!

Maui is the place to go and Maui Kai Unit 807 is the place to stay. I've been staying at the Maui Kai for probably 30 years, but the last 5 or so I've stayed in Unit 807 because booking it on VRBO is such a good deal plus this unit has EVERYTHING !!! First off it is truly oceanfront. If you dropped a coin off the lanai it would probably land in the ocean. Being on the 8th floor the view is magnificent. During the day you can easily see the islands of Lanai and Molokai, watch fishing boats or cruise ships go by or look down and see surfers or windsurfers having fun or just gaze at people walking the beach. As the day ends you can see gorgeous sunsets, while at night you can take in the full moon dancing on the ocean. All of this without ever having to leave your room. No looking for a parking space or somebody blocking your view. Heck, you might even hae a Mia Tai while watching. As for 807 it has everything imaginable. The kitchen has more gadgets and stuff than I have in my own house. All the appliances are new and in good working order. Both the owner and management work hard to keep everything First Class. Another good thing about staying in 807 is it is a studio and not a one bedroom. This saves you about $50.00 a day plus booking thru VRBO rather than thru the office saves you another $50.00 per day for the exact same unit. So you are ahead $100.00 a day each and everyday you stay in this unit not including the 5th day free when that is in effect. In fact even if the one bedrooms and the studios were the same price I would pick the studio because at night you can hear the gentle waves of the ocean whereas in the one bedrooms you sleep mountian side away from the ocean Another good thing about the Maui Kai is it has one of the few heated pools on the island and a great Jacuzzi and one of my favorite thigs is the BBQ Grills which you can just turn on and cook your fresh fish or steak and eat it poolside or take it back up to your room, but either way no pots or pans to clean. If I could only go on vacation for just one week or one month a year I would always choose to go to Unit 807 at the Maui Kai because the unit itself is great, the views magnificent and the Aloha Spirit is always present. In addition you have a excellent location along with free front door parking, free local phone calls, free high speed internet etc. I feel you can't beat this deal nor find a better place to stay anywhere in Hawaii.

Like most, I did not think we could afford a Hawaii vacation especially with saving for an upcoming wedding. But let me tell you, you can and by booking with the Maui Kai #807; we saved so much MONEY! We got 10% off and the fifth night free so naturally we stayed for 10 days so we got two nights free. :)When we got there I fell in LOVE with the view and with Hawaii (the land, the people, the food)! The owners not only hooked my fiancé and I up with an excellent deal on the best place to stay in the island but also with the best guide that told us where the locals go for food, the best place to surf and snorkel(for free) and the best place to get souvenirs for our family. We saw dolphins outside our window, snorkeled/swam with a family of sea turtles, and actually stood up for the first time when we surfed. I loved that we were able to eat in or could walk to places nearby. We loved where we stayed and everyone (especially the Maui Kai staff) was just so friendly! We will definitely be back, most likely for our honeymoon, and will definitely be staying again at the Maui Kai#807!

WOW! the view from Maui Kai 807 are beyond amazing, every sunset was different and more amazing. My fiance and I stayed at Maui Kai 807 in June of 2009. The condo was great, clean, comphy bed, clean kitchen with everything you could imagine! I couldn't believe we got such a great deal! Maui Kai 807 is at the top of my list for any hotel/condo I have ever stayed at! We cant wait to book with them again, and again!

We LOVE the Maui Kai 807! This is the ultimate beachfront location away from the tourist crowds yet within minutes of so much. We swam and snorkeled with turtles and fish right in front of the building, and watched dolphins and great sunsets from our lanai. Being walking distance from grocery, cloting and souvenir shopping, snorkel gear rental, and many restaurants is a real plus! All the amenities and decor in this condo are the best, with fully furnished kitchen and more 'electronics' than WE needed during our vacation! The pool area and bbqs are great & well maintained. Both the owners of #807 and building staff provide wonderful service before and during your stay to ensure you have a great experience both on the property, in the 'neighborhood' and around Maui. We'll be back! (Our first trip was husband/wife meeting friends there. This June, our mid-20s sons and their sweeties decided to come along too! Great fun for all!)

Comment Text: Comment Text: We love Maui Kai #807 so much that we come back here every year. It's our escape from the stresses of everyday life! We wish we were there now. This beach front studio is equipped with everything that we could possibly need...a comfy bed and lounge chairs, a fully remodeled kitchen, internet access, cable tv and a private patio with breathtaking sunset views over the ocean between the islands of Lanai and Molakai. We have been so spoiled with all the whale watching available from the patio. We haven't needed binoculars. The beach in front of the Maui Kai is incredible, mainly because there's so much you can do, from sunbathing and sand-castle building, to snorkeling and surfing. Sunbathing at the Maui Kai pool is also fabulous! There's plenty of loungers and no crowds. You can even check your email wirelessly. One of best parts of the Maui Kai is the staff, they are so friendly and helpful. During our last visit, the maid left us a beautiful bouquet of native flowers for us to enjoy. The Maui Kai is so close to local eateries and grocery shopping....it's literally across the street. If we run out of our favorite drink (Passion Orange Guava "POG" with rum) or our favorite snacks (Maui Onion Chips, Portugese Sausage, Hawaiian tuna poke....I truly can't name all of them), all we have to do is walk a couple of minutes. The local food at RVN...also 2 minutes away is also tasty. The Local Girl's Guide to Maui (provided by the Maui Kai #807 owners) also introduced us to some scrumptous local fare. Da Kitchen in Kahalui (where the airport is) has incredibly tasty kahalua pork and loco moco. Lastly, the Maui Kai is only a 5 minute drive away from Lahaina...a fantastic town with great food and shopping, surf lessons, people watching, and free lap swimming at the city pool. Can you tell we love Maui Kai #807! and Maui! We can't wait to go back! We know you'll feel the same way when you come and stay!

We could not believe we were overhanging the ocean with spectacular views of Lanai and Molokai. Every sunset was something you would see in postcards of Hawaii. The facilities were great as was the guide they left for us which gave us an insiders view of Maui. We loved the local take out places of local foods which included fish with capers, lomi lomi, and lots of pupu pupus. We also discovered the mai tai formula and pineapple corer along with an ample supply of tiny umbrellas.
