This condo is actually more stunning than the photos. Beautiful view of the ocean from the living room. Immaculately clean and comfortable. Super fast response to all questions from the owner and easy transaction. I made the mistake of renting a car for the week--totally unnecessary as this is a perfect location--short walk to Espanola Way, Lincoln Road, and of course, the beach and all of the great restaurants/clubs on or near Ocean Drive. The only negative is that this really raises the bar for future vacations and will unlikely be matched :) Thanks to David and Marcelo for making this available to visitors.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have stayed on Ocean Ave many times, but our stay at the Carlisle was the best ever. We loved everything about the condo. It was perfect for us and the view was superb. Looking forward to going back next year. The owner texted us prior to our arrival to ask us to contact him if the condo wasn't perfect. It was.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great place, the owners were fantastic to work with, the place is in the heart of the Art Deco district and could not be any better located. I had never been to South Beach and I was a little nervous about going, I have to admit. There were families everywhere and I actually felt more safe there walking at night then I had been walking around Charleston, SC. You don't need a car for sure, everything is right there, great restaurants and shopping abound.. Great trip. The place is just like the pictures. The street noise is noticeable at night but I sleep with a fan so no problems, NYC is about 100 times worse if you have ever been there. The place has a perfect kitchen and bath. It also has a great staff there at the place 24/7. They were great for local advice and anything else you might need. The bed was a queen, and was in pretty good shape, and there is a small washer and dryer there to use. If you do have a car, then overnight parking is around 20 bucks a night. All parking is valet. I would have flown in for sure if I do it again and would just get a taxi from the airport to the place. Food is a little expensive, so watch out for that...we don't drink alcohol and found out Coke's were about 5 dollars each, Howerver that being said, breakfast was a great deal, me and my wife both at for around 15$. As I said, overall a fantastic trip and a fantastic place to stay, don't hesitate with this one.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first trip to Miami Beach, and this unit was referred to my wife and I by a friend. We were not disappointed. Not only is the unit located in the famous Carlyle Hotel (from the Birdcage), its also located right in the middle between Miami Beach and South Beach. In other words, you are perfectly located for the beach, the nightlife, Espanola Way, and Lincoln Road. The unit was sparkling clean, and has wonderful views of the ocean (which is nice to wake up to). The resturant downstairs (The Carlyle Cafe) serves delicious breakfasts, which I'd recommend as well. The noise level inside the room can be a bit loud at times, especially in the early morning (or when Miami Beach is still going strong). Nothing a little low background music from your iPod can't fix. The staff of the restaurant, as well as the hotel was great. Very cordial and accommodating. Dealing with the owner and the local manager (Marsha) was easy and smooth. Overall we loved our stay, and when we return we will certaintly look to stay here again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Spend 4 days in this wonderfull apartment. The apartment was exactly like the photos, beautifull and so very well located. Miami Beach and Ocean Drive is the place to be - and The Carlyle is such a nice and cosy place to stay - I wish the apartment was my own :-) I would recommend the apartment, The Carlyle and the location to anyone. CONTEMPORARY - SPACIOUS - AMAZING ! ! ! In the many years we have been visiting South Beach, staying here was the best experience of them ALL.! Perfect location, Gorgeous Views & Amazing Light - EXACTLY as shown in the photo's ! Having never used VRBO we were nervous - but the communication & process David & Marcello provided was professional & seamless. This is now our only South Beach choice ! We had a great/relaxing/fun vacation here. This apartment is fabulous - as good or better than the pictures on the listing - very clean and spacious, and right in the middle of South Beach so there is no need for a car. Great views of the water and beach and ocean drive, but suprisingly quiet, so you can get some rest too. All that South Beach has to offer (the beach, restaurants, night life, wild/fun people, etc..) is within steps of this property. The owners and property manager were very helpful and could not have been nicer. Thanks for a great stay. We stayed at the apartment in March 2011, a family of 4, with girls aged 11 and 13. The apartment was even better than what can be seen on the website - spacious, two large bathrooms, all white and SoBe-ish (i guess :). The sleeper sofa in the living room easily sleeps 2 kids; the bed in the bedroom could have been king size but that's a minor thing really. The owners were very prompt to reply and everything went smoothly with payment and the whole rental arrangement. If you like the Art Deco district (which for us was one of the main attractions of Miami Beach), you really couldn't find a better location. Steps from everything - the gorgeous beach, some nice eateries, the Lincoln Street Mall, and lots and lots of beautiful Art Deco buildings. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The apartment was great--beautiful views of the beach, comfy furniture and a nice fridge and kitchen. The unit also has a washer/dryer and the building and elevator have key card only access for extra security (not that you need it, I found this area to feel extremely safe). The building location on South Beach is great. Really you couldn't not ask for a better spot. Walk right across the street and you are in Lummus Park. A few more steps and you are on one of, if not the, most beautiful beaches in America. Abundant shopping and dining options are nearby within easy walking distance, including a number of small grocery stores. The transaction with the unit owner was super easy. He faxed us an agreement, we signed it, and the charges were billed to our credit card in two installments as agreed upon. Checking in and out was easy and everything was ready to go when we arrived. We had a fantastic time and would definitely rent this unit again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We ave been a lot of times to Miami Beach, but this was absolutely the best time we ever had. We felt so comfortable in your appartment and everything was so quick and easy to reach. Just a few steps from the ocean. I don´t need to talk about the great customer service or the cleanliness of the appartment, just look at the photos. The view is amazing. For us, it´s definately the best place to stay in SoBe. Thank you David for everything. We stayed here for about a week in April. The location and spectacular beach view were simply amazing. The condo itself was clean and impeccable. David answered all our e-mails very promptly, so you can rent here with confidence - the pictures you see on this website are what you get! There are restaurants everywhere, but you can also pick up groceries on Washington Ave. between 14th & 15th St. (Art Deco Cafe). There is simply no where else we would want to be in South Beach! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Miami Beach at David's condo. The location is prime and the view is spectacular. If you are into people watching and being part of the upscale ambiance of Miami Beach, this is the right place (I have never seen so many Ferraris, Mazzerattis and Rolls Royces in my entire life ) ! We walked to shopping, dining and the beach and even though we had a car it stayed parked (except for our visit to the aquarium). We cooked dinner one night and found the kitchen quite adequately stocked. Thanks again for renting to us on such short notice.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We stayed at this property in Feb. 2010 for the Super Bowl. It was a lovely condo. Very clean and spacious. The owner is very nice, was attentive, and provided great customer service. Everything was as it appeared in the photos. I am VERY picky and immediately upon arrival, I was happy. Thank you David! Completely enjoyed my stay. Was a quick get away weekend with three girlfriends. Condo was close enough to everything and at the same time didn't have to deal with the noise some of the other properties on Ocean Drive have to deal with. Owner was very friendly. There is a garage next door if you'd like to park but we didn't have a car so I'm not sure how much it was. The condo we rented was very room and had 1 1/2 baths so we wouldn't be stuffed in one bathroom trying to shower and do our hair. If it is a girls weekend, you do have to be some kind of scantily dressed to bypass the long lines as they're kinda choosey if you're a woman and you have too many clothes on :)Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Absolutely beautiful property. If you want to stay in the heart of the South Beach action, you cannot beat the location. The condo is true to the photos - brand new and spotless.
