Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Recently, we retired from our restaurant business and are now enjoying taking care of our gardens and looking forward to meet our guests.

Why the Owner Chose Qualicum Beach

We built this guest cottage a few years ago so that when our children and grandchildren come for a visit, they could have their own private place to enjoy and relax.

The Unique Benefits of this cottage

Our joy is in our garden. We purchased the acreage in 1996 and it was overgrown with wild roses, weeds, shrubs, grasses and trees. And during the rainy season, these low-lying areas remained extremely swampy and almost inaccessible. Each year, with lots of patience and determination, the areas were cleared and topped up with soil and rocks. Then, eventually after many years, the ideas and dreams turned into reality with the construction of our Westhill Estate home, the guest cottage, and its surrounding gardens filled with annuals, perennials, herbs/vegetables, fruit trees, ponds and bridges. We invite you to spend time with us and enjoy the beauty of the Westhill Gardens in an informal and peaceful setting.
