This 2 bedroom, 2 bath, and loft home will give you some great design ideas. Our home is a unique and sensational home featuring lots of windows, inside and out, both functional and decorative. The vaulted ceilings showcase exposed white beams adorned with antique wooden toys. The beautiful architecture is reminiscent of a mountain lodge sitting on the shore of a lake.
The home features an open great room, painted a warm terra cotta, anchored by a big wood burning stove that provides abundant warmth for those gray days at Oregon coast. The dining table, formerly used in a library, sits 8 people comfortably. The table divides the kitchen area and living room area. The kitchen has open shelf cabinetry and a huge counter. The living area features a sofa and a loveseat with a great view of the huge deck and pine trees outside. Foliage and trees surround the property providing peaceful privacy.
Two bedrooms merge off the great room through French doors and feature incredible décor and private bathrooms. Both bedrooms have queen beds with furnished linens. In addition to the beds, the sofa in the great room opens up into a queen bed. A spiral staircase leads to the loft featuring 2 single beds.
The house comes with a outside hot tub on a huge lavish deck for you to relax in. The deck has plenty of room for a picnic at the table or relaxing with a book in the lounge chairs.
The property is located in a residential neighborhood, enclosed by large pines and other vegetation which, even though it's near downtown, provides a private, secluded hideaway. Just a short block from the house is the heart of Manzanita, Laneda street, lined with shops and restaurants. Whether you need groceries, reading material or a last minute sweatshirt or sandals you will find them in Manzanita. There is a local tavern, an art gallery and a couple of day spas to relax or inspire you. The local restaurants offer a variety of choices such as seafood, mexican, hamburgers and pizza.
The ocean/beach is enjoyed a number of different ways. Surfing, in all forms, by sand or water, is big here. The colorful windsurfers and parachute surfers are particularly eye catching on a bright sunny day. The state park nearby is a launch point for horseback riders who make their way to the beach. Beach ‘bikes’ are available for rent at a local store making the 7 mile beach easy to explore. Other attractions in the area include hiking Neahkahnie Mountain, golfing, fishing the Nehalem River, crabbing and shopping for antiques in nearby towns. Whether you want to stay busy or just relax, SeaWard Dream is a great home base.

Thanksgiving and Memorial weekends, 3 night minimum, $220/night

$75 cleaning fee, pet fee and 8% city/state tax rate in addition to rental fees
$300 security deposit (refundable if no damage or excess cleaning)

The quiet sleepy little town of Manzanita, Oregon has a beautiful 7 mile beach situated between 2 state parks. The town is friendly and inspiring with restaurants, grocery stores and shops available within a 10 minute walk but still close to tourist areas, Seaside and Cannon Beach.

This review is long overdue, as we have stayed at this home 4 times now. We love this home! It has a great large open kitchen with a big table to seat a family, French doors off the kitchen to the deck. We love the hot tube and the large deck with a grill. It is really private on a corner lot, mainly due to the landscaping, because it is one block from town and 5 blocks to the beach. There are two main bedrooms on the first floor. Do use a bathroom, you have to go through someones room which isnt an issue for us. The upstairs loft has two beds I think (we never use it). It has a very cozy great room concept. It feels like a home, not a rental. We dont go to the beach unless we can stay here because we love it so much. It's just the perfect place to really relax. Michele is so great to work with too. For my birthday weekend she pointed out that maybe we would like to come down on the Friday to enjoy the farmer's market. I almost hate to write this review because I don't want other people to start renting it! Enjoy!!

Wonderful house, great location. Everything you need to relax, explore the town and coastline. This was our second visit and we enjoyed it more than we did the first time. Have fun.

The house is the kind you love to be in if the weather is not very nice. This house is not like other vacation rentals, but decorated and furnished with taste and lots of love to make guests feel very much at home. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was equipped to the hilt and everything was very clean. The home is located in a quiet side street, a few blocks from Laneda and all the shopping you want or have to do. The hot tub is very clean and inviting, we spent every evening in it before going to bed. Even the youngest enjoyed his 1st time in it! The owner's daughter is a jewel and was cheerfully helping us with our questions and concerns and insured that we would have a wonderful time. One tip: Watch the video about thew doors very closely and possibly have it with you to watch again. Thank you so much! We will *all* surely be back and *I* certainly will be back in September for a long weekend! :-)
