  My family had a wonderful time in this house. Short walk to town of halalei and to the beach. Great location. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. Great stay and fantastic value. Great for kids, adults and families.

  My family and I felt right at home from the beginning. The house is exactly as described, and more. The evening breezes and birdsong lulled us to sleep each night. We found ourselves just hanging out at the house a lot because it felt so homey. The house is very roomy, so we could enjoy family time or have the option of some privacy. The beach is an easy walk, as is the town. We loved everything about this house and Hanalei. I highly recommend this house for anyone who is looking for peace and quiet, with close proximity to fun activities.

  Wow. I expected a great trip, but I didn't expect the house to be so amazing. We are a family consisting of four different couples with children, and we were easily accommodated. There are two HUGE bedrooms, and three regular-sized ones, essentially all with their own bathrooms, and two living rooms - one up, one down. And with a farmer's market across the street on Saturdays, we had ample local fruit and fun. A 5 minute walk to either the beach or to town, and only a 15 minute drive to the best snorkeling (we got underwater pictures of us swimming with a sea turtle as big as a man on the coral reef), made this house the perfect location to stay. The owner, Jake, took all my calls or returned them within the hour; answering every last question I could think of. And, knowing that we had an infant, was even able to hook us up with a pack'n'play for the week. Super reasonable price for this amazing home. Seriously, book this beautiful place now. We will be back ASAP. Oh and the mountain view? Wow.

  I will keep this short and sweet. Jake was fantastic to deal with from start to finish. He made me feel extremely comfortable and answered all of my questions. The house is fantastic and served my mother, 2 brothers, and I very well during our 8 day stay in Kauai. Hanalei is fantastic and the house is a short walk to the amazing Hanalei Bay. We would also walk into town for lunch, shopping, and coffee. At the end of all of our adventurous days though, it was so great to come back to a place like this to relax, cook dinner, and enjoy the evening. The north shore is where you should be and this place definitely provides you with the ideal location to go anywhere. I would highly recommend this house to anyone considering staying in Kauai. You will not regret it.

  Very comfortable home in great location within walking dtistance to beach and town. Several lanais, louvered screened windows, and sliding doors make the house well ventilated and cool. Nice great room adjoining large dining table for 8 and kitchen as a centrlal gathering place. We made several outsanding dinners buying fresh seafood and fruits and vegetables locally at markets and stands, cooking them on the large gas grill. Plenty of beach chairs and towels available and the washer and dryer is very handy. The owners, Jake and Jennifer, are personable and trustworthy and make you feel at home in their vacation home. If you are looking for a family vacation home in a quiet and laid back residential area, Hale Hanalei is a good choice,

  Our family spent a week at this lovely home for our son's wedding. It was hard to leave. It is the most well appointed, comfortable vacation rental we have ever had. The kitchen is fit for a seasoned chef. All of the amenities are of the best quality. We watched the waterfalls from the lanai for hours. There's a TV, but we never put it on. We preferred the palm trees swaying outside the very large windows! With ten folks in the house, we were never falling over each other....everyone had their own space and privacy. It has all of the charm of Hanalei, including crowing roosters at 3 am and hearing the rain softly falling on the palm trees in the middle of the night. The home's location is fabulous, close enough to walk to Hanalei Town and close to the beach, but yet it is quite private. It's easy to consider this your home if you are lucky enough to stay in this marvelous town and in this beautiful property.

  What a terrific home away from home! My husband and I were lucky enough to spend a week at this wonderful Hanalei Bay home this past summer 2010. The home was very clean and comfortable. Linens, paper goods, laundry and kitchen soaps, beach chairs, towels, toys, coolers, and an umbrella were all included. There are two beautiful master bedrooms each on opposite ends of the main living area. Two families traveling together would have total privacy yet be comfortable staying together. There are also three more bedrooms and a living area on the lower level which we didn't use but we took a peek at them for a possible future vacation. The home has several televisions but we never turned any of them on! Don't forget the wifi...yes, wireless internet is included too! You can easily walk to Hanalei Bay as well as everything the town of Hanalei Bay has to offer. The owners, Jake and Jennifer, are a pleasure to work with! You may even be as lucky as we were to dine near Pierce Brosnan! Go ahead, if your dates are available, don't hesitate to book your vacation at this great Hanalei home!

  We just got back home from the best vacation we have had in years! The layout of the home was perfect for our two families with the both master suites on upstairs level and the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the garden level. There was plenty of space for everyone to be together yet places to retreat for privacy. Thanks again and we will certainly be back in the near future.
