Owner's Profile

Owner Description

I am a bilingual(Spanish and English) 1st grade teacher in Austin, Texas.
I take the bus back in forth from Austin and Guanajuato about 5-6 times a year.
I live in Guanajuato only part-time but my heart is there and I try to be there more.

Why the Owner Chose Guanajuato

Guanajuato is a secret gem in the colonial heartland of Central Mexico. There are picturesque and nostagic streets full of culture and wonderful people. The multicultural events and the University bring an international feel to the traditional Central Mexican town.

    • We enjoyed our stay at Casa Gavira! It is beautifully and carefully styled, with so many visual treats. The outdoor courtyard with fountain is a delightful addition. Expect to have a relaxing time! The casa is very centrally located, an ideal spot from which to explore Guanajuato. Mindie, the owner, is very responsive and wonderful to work with.
