Oil-free getaway with white sandy beach. Hidden off the beaten path this modern home is situated in the State forest on a crystal clear fresh water lake. With a white sandy beach and clean sandy bottom it is completely private and secluded. With only twelve homes on the lake, none of them adjunct to our house, you may not see another person your entire stay. Quiet and relaxing, the way Florida use to be.
Enjoy the sunrise watching the fog lift off of the lake from the large covered porch. Catch sight of a deer on your morning walk or look for birds as they fly through the forest. The afternoon sea breeze means it’s time for swimming or paddling on the lake. Try your hand at fishing to catch dinner.
When you want to go into town, it’s only a short drive into Panama City. Restaurants and entertainment of every description are available. Then you can leave all the traffic and noise behind when you return to your hide-away in the woods.
If you like twenty story condos, loud parties in the courtyard, sharing the beach with hundreds of people then this location won’t interest you. We have the same sun, sand and sea breeze. We don’t have red tide, jellyfish, high surf, traffic and crowds to ruin your vacation. You’ll be able to see and hear your children playing on the beach from the porch.
Plan to stay with us for your honeymoon, romantic get-away or just some together time. You'll have the whole place to yourself.

A professional chemist administrator with the State of Florida Agriculture Dept. I have been married to my husband for 38 years. We have three boys, all grown and spread across the US. We have lived in Florida for over twenty years.
Why the Owner Chose Fountain
My husband works in the Bureau of Beaches and Coastal Systems. His works has taken him to every beach in the State. But when it came time to look for a retirement location we both agreed that the coast is too expensive and could be destroyed by a hurricane so we decided to find a location inland and by luck ran across this beautiful rural property.
